Review:It's been SO long since I have found a book that kept my attention. I absolutely could not put this book down! I would be practically falling asleep because I was so tired but it's such an amazing, brave, sometimes tragic, and beautiful story that I had to keep reading. Thank you Liz for sharing your story and being so brave. A mother's love is so strong that she will go to the end of the earth for her children, literally. Everyone needs to read this story! And I definitely think this needs to b... Read more

Review:I've read many similar books of child abuse but have never written a review for one. This is a heart wrenching story and will leave you in tears. I couldn't get enough of this book in the sense that I truly started loving David and Dennis and prayed for their safety. Read more
Review:BUT to read on and on, sharing in the horror and then to just have the story STOP.??? I get it's a story that needs to be shared from the viewpoint of the victim child. But to not learn an outcome! Now I'm a victim of that family too. Perhaps Amazon should offer the series instead of just one at the lower price. Not knowing the adult end is heart wrenching Read more
Review:As a woman who has experienced this "inevitable harm" I can recommend this book to others in my situation as well as other family members and friends who have also been trampled by the heavy, carefully placed boots of the narcissist. First book I've read that profiles the woman who finds herself in a relationship with a man with NPD. i found it answered so many previously unanswered questions about myself......

Review:I wish everyone who is in a manipulative relationship could read this book. It contains cold hard facts about abusive relationships and how to recognize abuse and abusers. No one should have to live with abuse whether it is physical or mental. This book also helps families of victims have a greater understanding of how abusers manipulate and can keep loved ones under their control. I was disappointed with the lack of a good editor for this book, so I only gave 4 stars. Worth reading though. Read more
Review:I've recommended to so many people. Could hardly put down. I real eye opener. I'd say a must read. I'd say it's important to read Etched in Sand first. Remarkable story of the survival and success of these siblings in spite a horrific upbringing. Read more
Review:Reading The White House Boys was painful. I hate to think that treatment like this happened in America, but I know that sick people gravitate toward the weak and helpless. This was a testament to the memories of this young boy. Read more
