My kids had the softcover version that we read every night in November. I thought the hardback would be worth the price since ours was showing so much wear. The hardback is nice but the cover is bleached out and faded looking. Also the artwork is slightly off center. Other than that it's a great book I enjoy reading with my children.

Call me corny, but I love holiday kid books. When my son was a youngin' it was my favorite time of year to read to my son. In fact I had a whole collection of holiday books to share with him then. Now that he is all growed' up, some have been tossed or given away, but a number of them have survived to be shared with grand kids and such. This book by Nathasha Wing wasn't around when my son was little, but its a new one I picked up a while back and really enjoy reading to any little ones that care to listen. There has always been something about Thanksgiving to me that represents the calm before the storm of Christmas. Love the yuletide season though I do, it yet remains a hurried, frenzy time of year that Thanksgiving seems to get by without. This book, colorfully illustrated and done to the Night Before Christmas poem is warm, cozy, and a whole lot of fun. I think it would become a favorite with any kid during the fall holiday season, and even beyond. Very much recommended.. : )

We are big fans of this series! Each one contains a fun twist on the popular classic Twas the Night Before Christmas. Wing has such an amazing talent for coming up with clever rhymes that smoothly flow from one page to the next. This book covers all of the Thanksgiving traditions: preparation of favorite foods, parade watching, excitement over family arriving, mishaps that always happen on a holiday and of course the enjoyment of leftovers the next day. The illustrations are super fun to look at and the story always makes my daughter giggle, especially the part about the vision of drumsticks dancing in the kid's heads. We found this book last year and it will continue to be on our Thanksgiving to read list for many yeas to come.

This is a lovely, classic Thanksgiving book to read with your kids while counting down the days to this "fun & food- filled" national holiday. Through the very humorous verses that rhyme on every page, our family warms up the old memories about THE NIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING when we baked pie, watched parade, set the table for the feast, prepared the food and the kids' crafts and waited anxiously for the guests to arrive. Like the book depicted, it was a day full of hectic activities and sometimes mishaps did happen but it would be resolved when the prayer is said and all of the happenings become yet another year of thankful celebrations.

i was at Walden Books Yesterday and my wife called and asked me to pickup a Thanksgiving book for our three year old son. There were Biscuit and Clifford Thanksgiving books but I settled on this one. Told in the same manner as The Night Before Christmas, it follows really a traditional American Family Thanksgiving celebration including all the activities and preparation that goes into this great holiday. Actually its not so much about the night before as it is the day of, but that's ok. What appealed to me was how much it had in common with my own family's Thanksgiving from waking up in the morning and watching the parades, to family coming over for dinner. My three year old really enjoyed it!

My kids love these books! We got the Night Before Halloween and The Night before the Night before Christmas! The boys love the story and its funny and easy for them to follow, and the illustrations are hysterical for them to look at! I have a 3 year old and a 2 year old and during November we read this book every night till the big day and the same for the Halloween one and the Christmas one...I enjoy these books myself I find myself laughing out loud when I read them to the boys!

The author of this book Natasha Wing does a fantastic job describing what a traditional Thanksgiving time is like before and after!!! It's is reminiscent of what Thanksgiving is like at my in-laws house! Both me and my children thoroughly enjoyed reading this book with me numerous times before Thanksgiving!!!

This is a cute Thanksgiving book patterned after the old "Twas the Night Before Christmas" story. It is in rhyming verse, yet flows nicely.

It starts with the Thanksgiving preparations the night before, then moves on to the morning parade, family arriving, playing football, making pilgrim hats, preparing food, eating, and leftovers.

There is an entire series of these books for various holidays. I also have the Halloween one, and it's just as cute.

My children enjoy reading this book, and so do I.

Written in the same format as "A NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS>" Has a nice cadence about it and very cleverly written. This is the type book that you could read to your kids every Thanksgiving and then pass it on to your grand children. You can make wonderful memories and in time you will always be remembered fondly on Thanksgiving eve.
