Never-Before-Seen Designs for an Amazing Rainbow of Projects

Too hard for kids to follow the directions. Myself and my 7 & 9 year old have been nothing but frustrated for two days trying to figure out the directions. There are pictures, but of the finished step, not how to do the step.....which when you are looking at a small picture it is no help.

The instructions in this book are not clear. There are times when "little" steps of instruction are skipped, but the part that is skipped is not something intuitive. I was able to find video instructions for a couple of the projects in this book, but they always included extra steps that we're not in the written directions. There are much better books out there.

This book has provided so much fun and entertainment for my boys, 9 and 12. I don't think the TV has been turned on since they received it...all they want to do is recreate the designs. The book is a nice, hard copy with step by step pictures making it easy for the kids to follow, and now I've purchased several for holiday and birthday party gifts. Although some of the designs do take multiple looms, it's a great excuse for them to get together with friends and try those projects as a group. You can't go wrong and the price makes it a total deal!

Many great designs, but as others have mentioned, the instructions are, in a word, HORRIBLE. The copy is poorly written, photos are barely useful. So far this book has been best used to hold up my monitor so I can write this review.

Terrible book. It has insufficient illustrations and would be better served by numerically listed instructions. Vital instructions are, at best, listed as an afterthought at the end of a paragraph or, at worst, omitted. One is much better served by online videos.

Do not buy this book. The photographs cannot be followed even with the resolution of a kindle fire HDX. There are no usable diagrams for laying out the rubber bands. The instructions include several sentence paragraphs and tell you to repeat without specifying where exactly you would start repeating. Terms are used with no explanation ("double loop" WTF?) And the awesome designs? A mustache.. really. The strong smell of the rubber bands under your nose with no way to suspend the piece. There were maybe two interesting bracelet designs but the instructions were unusable. It was as if the text was thrown together by someone who had never actually followed the directions and made the item. I am an extremely experienced crafter who navigates chinese kit noninstructions. Even I couldn't figure it out.

This book was extremely hard to understand. Both the instructions and pictures didn't make sense. I feel like steps on how to make each item were being skipped and the authors didn't put a lot of work into it. I am very dissatisfied. I am returning this book! I tried watching youtube videos and those work SO much better!! :)

IWhile on the search for anew looming book I came across this one online and looked at it ready to buy I thought I could look for it in stores guess what I found the same thing but for cheaper so saving me about five dollars I am very plesed

This is NOT for a beginner. There is no introduction about the craft or beginning steps that one needs to know in order to begin this type of craft. I found the instructions very difficult to follow for the first three projects and have yet to have one turn out. Rainbow Loom videos on You Tube are a better bet on learning how to do this craft.

This was really cool. I learned how to make different kinds of things with loom bands. If you would like to know how to make some totally awesome bracelets and rings, then you have found the right book.
