This wasn't a very deep book bad not even one that makes you wasn't more but it was entertaining and the sex scenes were as usual titillating and fun. Ms. Day has a way with words and fantasy. Who wouldn't like to be a sleek and green eyed goddess that can change into a cat and be cared for by a hunk like Max.

I thought this book would have been better than it was. It felt hurried and the main point seemed to be the steamy interludes between the H and h. Underdeveloped characters and a hurried story line. I had a hard time finishing it.

Really not one of her better books. I've read a lot better by her. It jumps around a lot, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense and it should've actually been a series of books rather than everything crammed into one. Thumbs down for sure on this one.

While I don't normally choose paranormal I found this to be the perfect thing to breakup a monotonous day. I was intrigued by Max and envious of Victoria. It's nice to be taken on an adventure without leaving the comforts of home.

I love Sylvia Day books. I bought this even though it got bad reviews and thought surely it could not be that bad. IT IS! It has a lot of sex without a lot of context. The premise of this book is unbelievable. I wish she had not wasted her time with this one and and finished the Crossfire series instead. I could not even finish half this book. Money wasted!!!!!!

When readers hear Sylvia Day, they automatically associate her with the amazing Crossfire Series and the book boyfriend to end all book boyfriends, Gideon Cross. And me being a VERY big fan of the series was excited to read something else from the fabulous Sylvia Day. Spellbound was a good paranormal erotic romance that had great elements and some not so great. With all of the hype and high expectations from this author, I was expecting a little bit more out of Spellbound. Don't get me wrong, I do recommend this to romance readers, I just don't want you to think you are getting another hero like Mr. Cross.

We do, however, get Max Westin, who was a great hero in Spellbound. Ladies, don't worry, his possessive, sexy nature will get your motor running. I wasn't expecting the BDSM elements in this one, but I was so glad she incorporated that in this book. Max is a Hunter and by default he was also a Dominant. Once he sets his sights on Victoria, a beautiful, stubborn Familiar, he knew she was going to be the one to submit to him, no matter what it took.

❝ My pleasure is yours. My hunger is yours. ❞

Victoria lost her one and only love to pure evil, and she has yet to get over it. Stubborn, feisty, and powerful, there has yet to be anyone who can tame her and bring her to her knees. When Victoria lays her eyes on the gorgeous Hunter, she can't help but to have a little fun of her own. Little does she know that Max wants more from her. He wants her body, mind and soul, but is she strong enough to let someone else in her heart?

I will tell you one thing, Sylvia Day can write a scorching hot sex scene! I mean WOW! The storyline wasn't my favorite. It was lacking a little depth, but still kept me engaged the whole way through with some good paranormal suspense. Sylvia Day will still be my auto-buy author favorite, no matter what genre she is writing.

❝ I'd ***k you endlessly if I could, stay inside you forever. When I'm not in you, I'm thinking about it. Craving it. I don't feel whole when I'm not a part of you. ❞

I am giving this book a 2.75 star rating. I like Sylvia Day. She is a good writer and I was a fan of her Crossfire series, so why not give this book a try. I did not know this was a paranormal romance, which I am not a fan of. But it was good. It was not the best and not the worse. The stories were good and kept me entertained.

These are the stories of Victoria St. James and Max Westin. Victoria is a familiar that has defied the Council many times. They feel that is out of control and might become feral since the lost of her warlock. The Council sent Max to either kill her or capture her. In the process of wooing her, he decides her wants to keep her.

These stories tell of the adventures of them working together and the development of their relationship. Max realizes that Victoria is his most prized possession and asset but also his greatest liability.

The reason for the lower rating is due to the fact that the author changed Max's character. Throughout the whole book he was a dominant and he was not going to change that. At the end, he was willing to become a switch for Victoria. I truly did not like that. That made me see him in a different light. That flaw made him weak. Also, the author seemed to want to tie all the ends of the book together. She did not do it in an effective way. It was just abrupt. It left me confused.

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:

Ok, I am going to have to think a little differently when writing this review.

Why?

Beause I just LOVE Sylvia Day’s books. Crossfire Trilogy alone has garnered more than 422,500 ratings and the stars are around 4.24 on Goodreads, alone.

She has sold over twelve million books in Crossfire alone, around the globe.

The woman can write.

I have met her in person and she hugged every darn person in that line waiting for her signature and a moment of her time.

Such an uber nice lady.

So shiz got real when I read Spellbound.

I have to pretend in my mind that Sylvia didn’t write it, so I can write my review. Now I am not sounding mean. Far from it. I totally respect Sylvia but I have had to lower the stars on this book and it pains me to no end.

Because. I LOVE Sylvia.

I always deliver a honest review, so I must stick with it.

This is again just my personal opinion out of an ocean of thoughts from other readers.

Ok, my thoughts are.

I totally can see that Sylvia wanted to deliver a paranormal romance with lots of sex, an awesome Alpha lad and a girl that didn’t want to be tamed and she wanted to try something different.

Or somebody wanted to try something different. The end result being Spellbound.

Spellbound is made up of three novellas. Which is cool. I love me a novella, but I felt a bit like I was speed dating the characters and I got me a bit of whiplash.

The time jumps were leaving me having to tidy my hair. Bam! Two weeks went by. By the end two years had flown by.

I didn’t see them fly by.

I of course got told, but I felt like I was missing some good stuff that should be in there.

I think I wanted to know more. Let me just throw an example out there, 'Max, do you like Pino Colada's and getting caught in the rain?' Now I could probably say he doesn't, but you get my drift.

Now the sex. Like, dudes. There is lots and lots of sex. I am by far a prude.

Oh no.

E.L. James, Sylvia , Olivia Cunning and Joey W Hill, totally educated me on some of the more...um...well, you’ve most probably read some of these authors. You know the angle I am coming from with all the accessories etc.

I can't believe I am having a slight issue with the amount of sex.

What I am probably trying to convey is that the ratio of story line/plot to sex was pretty close, especially in first novella. I think the sex out numbered the story line.

Slight exaggeration, possibly.

I LOVED the idea, a Familiar, being Victoria, who falls rapidly in love with her Hunter, Max Westin. Warlocks are normally paired up with a Familiar. They don't fall in love.

Darius is her ex who has departed this world. He is a pretty cool guy.

Victoria doesn’t want to be tamed. She is feral, gone rogue, without needing to be put down. Max, the hunk of burning love...well, he loves her so he is risking getting into a spot of bother with The High Council, but, he says that famous one word we like to hear in a book.

MINE.

So that is that. She is his and all that jazz.

Then we get onto the second novella. And we burn through that puppy pretty quickly with a whole bunch of , sex and some more sex with a cherry on top.

Then we get to novella three and I gotta tell you this is where my rating went up. It was longer, more satisfying and yes there was lots of sex...and some more sex, but there was more of a story, too. Now in all fairness when they get jiggy with it, she transfers her power to him and he does something and it bounces back to her, whilst they do the funky chicken,on the wild side.

I got some of that filler inner I needed. There was a villain or two and a biatchhy ex and all that good stuff that builds a story up.

And I got me a quote, that I LOVED.

“I hunt and I catch. I caught you. I’ve kept you. And I’ll come home to you. Don’t try to leash me, kitten. I won’t have it and you wouldn’t want it.”

The good thing is after the third novella, I totally could see me reading a full length , juiced up novel on Max and Victoria and I liked the sound of Masters, too.

So, again I want to repeat. I feel pretty darn bad that I can’t be uber excited about Spellbound. But I still thought it had some great stuff in it, along the way. I will always pick up a Sylvia Day book to read.

Because, I do love her writing...99% of the time. Just this one teensy weensy time.

It may be me.

Everybody else may read it and then throw pillows at my head for writing this review. To that I say, 'Awesome, I love that you loved it.'

I kinda feel like I should give Sylvia her hug back, but I will keep it for her next awesome book I read :)

I mean, how many authors at a book signing , hug every single person when they get their items signed?

I enjoyed reading this book. Sylvia has once again reminded me why I love her writing. It felt however like it was supposed to be a apart of a series, the world that was described, the presence of characters that were felt like they had more of a story to them; all of it is pretty interesting but it's listed as a standalone on her website. (boo Sylvia give us more from this world).

As the story unfolds you learn more about the world, the Council, the characters themselves give wonderful descriptions and share the why of it all.

I absolutely LOVED Victoria, she was one fun, funny and bada** woman, she refused to be tamed and made life hell for the men sent to bring her back in line. Her constant challenge of the Council's authority makes them send one last hunter to bring her in. She's ready, but she couldn't have been prepared for Max. Max Westin for all his knowledge wasn't prepared for the full force that Victoria presented, yeah on paper she was wild, but in reality?? She was even more so and he was looking forward to challenge. Victoria made Max crazy , she totally made him work for it, and Max had his hands full trying to tame her.

I was totally in love with their interactions, their witty conversations, the attraction they felt and it was pretty hot when they did interact *smirks*. It however wasn't until almost the end of the first part that I really started to like Max, I wasn't sure he was a good guy until then and then man oh man, did Max show his real strength at the end.

In the beginning part of the story he was a bit condescending to Victoria and you understood why when their world was explained a little bit more and you totally understand afterwards. In he end Max was given great challenge and Victoia found someone she could enjoy playing the game with.. What happens in the end when it's no longer a game?? Well You have to read and find out because Boy oh Boy some of it I totally didn't see coming and some made me want to scream at the different characters like NONNOONONONO!!

I really loved it and I hope you do too

Insanely intense and sexual.

I never thought the day would would come where I would say that another woman could make me dampen my panties. That day has come. And that day is today. And I just said it! I have been reading so much Sylvia Day lately. I have become addicted and can't seem to put her down, so day after day, Day has continued to get me all hot and bothered with her delectable and erotic words.

Spellbound is an erotic story of love and lust in a world of witches, warlocks and hunters and the taming of a Familiar gone feral- Victoria. The scrumptious, dark haired, stormy eyed Hunter, Max thought he had his work cut out for him when it came to taming the trouble-making Victoria, who has discarded all other Hunters that have crossed her path after having her fun with them. His orders were to tame or kill. Little did he know that taming her would give him the desire to keep her. The intense and emotional connection they have with each other also connects their powers to one another, taking their relationship to a whole other level, mentally and physically connecting them in a way they never thought possible. The feelings they have for one another amplified. Their powers amplified. Powers that don't go unnoticed.

In between their raunchy and very busy sex life and hunting and being hunted there isn't room for much else and that worked fine for me. Spellbound was fast-paced and full of action, both in the bedroom and out, although sometimes I did find it hard to keep track of where I was at with the storyline because of their busy sex life. *I wish I had a high libido like these two!*

All in all, Spellbound is a quick and addictive read that will have your toes curling and insides quaking with need.

Author: Sylvia Day

Genre: Erotica, Paranormal, BDSM Elements

Her desire becomes his pleasure...

Max Westin. Sex incarnate. She could smell it, feel it with his proximity. Everything about him was a little rough, a little gritty. A primitive creature. Just like she was.

He held her hand a little too long, his thickly-lashed gaze clearly stating his intentions to have her. To tame her…

“Victoria.”

Her name, just one word, but spoken with such possession she could almost feel the collar around her neck.

“It’s in your nature,” he murmured. “The desire to be taken.”

In this game of cat and mouse, everything is an illusion but the passion is as real as it gets.

Thoughts: If you're a fan of Sylvia Day's then you will love this collection of novellas about one couple.

In the first novella we meet Victoria and Max and the sparks fly between these two. Max has one assignment, to see if Victoria can be saved and brought back to the fold of their race. He never planned on the intense sexual feelings he has for her.

Victoria is consumed with the need to avenge her lovers senseless death almost two hundred years ago. She's known the ruling body for her race would eventually send someone to try and bring her back. She thought she'd be ready for whoever they sent. She never planned on Max.

I really enjoyed the journey that Max and Victoria go on, from adversaries to lovers. Each of the three books shows them at different times in their relationship. My only complaint was that the novellas were to short. I would have liked to see more of their relationship and the struggles they go through. As the the time between each of the books is between a year to two years.

Overall though, this like all of Sylvia's books is a great read and one you shouldn't miss out on if you're a fan of her paranormal stories.

"I won't make it without you, Victoria. You're everything to me."

I am a huge fan of Sylvia Day and I had picked up a copy of Spellbound whilst out shopping but I hadn't had the chance to read it. I am so glad I finally picked it up. I was looking forward to reading a paranormal romance, something different from my usual contemporary reads. And Ms. Day can certainly spice up the magical realms too!

Spellbound is three sexy novellas bound in one book. We have the beginning, middle and end of Max and Victoria's story. I liked the short stories, each gave you a snapshot of Max and Victoria's life at that point and then left you wanting more by the end. Even the final story left me wanting it to continue, and the ending is left open, so perhaps Max and Victoria may pop up again in the future.

Victoria is a Familiar, but she is not paired with a Warlock, after losing her first love she seeks revenge on the Triumvirate who killed him. Victoria is a loose cannon and Max, a Hunter, has been drafted in to capture her, in preparation to hand her over to her new partner. What Max doesn't count on is falling hard for Victoria and keeping her for himself. When they join forces, they are more powerful together and have to fight off enemies who are now scared of the powerful pairing.

I loved the word of which Sylvia had created, I liked learning about Victoria and her powers, she could switch from human to cat in the blink of an eye. When Max came along, their power complimented each other, they could read each other's mind and were made for each other. Familiar and Hunter were hot together! Max and Victoria sure had some stamina. Sylvia Day can write a sex scene like no other, Max and Victoria's feelings were poured into their physical joining and magic was transferred during sex, even their orgasms made them more powerful. It sure is a fun way to prepare for battle. ;-)

Spellbound was a short, erotic and entertaining read. It was great to read something a little bit different. I loved Max and Victoria from the beginning. Parts of the storyline, reminded me of twilight, in the way they had to defeat the Triumvirate (like the Volturi) although this version is definitely hotter! Fans of Sylvia Day need to check this one out and fans of paranormal romance looking for something spicier should give this one a read. ~Ava

*I received an ARC via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.*

After reading the synopsis for Spellbound, I was very much looking forward to reading this one. The blurb really caught my attention and, being that it was a Sylvia Day book, I had really high hopes. My first thoughts after starting this book and seeing that it dealt with familiars, warlocks and had kind of a BDSM-meets-paranormal vibe? I was definitely intrigued. It seemed different than a lot of the books I've been reading lately and the whole concept seemed really interesting!

Ok, so now for a little backstory... Let's see if I can get this right!

Familiars are paired with warlocks--and not by choice. Their purpose is to aid their warlock, to work with them and add to their powers. Victoria was lucky enough to experience something pretty rare-- she fell in love with her warlock, and he with her. Upon his passing, he shared his powers with her, so now she's stronger than most familiars. Her power and reputation has made her infamous, and is also the reason why she is now hunted. Because she can no longer be forced to pair with another warlock, she is now hunted. But after getting a taste of freedom, Victoria refuses to allow herself to be traded off to another warlock ever again. Time and again, hunters have tried to "collar" her and have failed.

And this is when we meet Max, the most powerful of his kind, sent on behalf of the high council to capture Victoria. He's determined to tame her, no matter what, and is quite excited by the challenge. But can he dominate her without wanting to keep her for his own? And can he even succeed where so many others have failed? There's instant attraction between the two, and their personalities allow for a very entertaining power struggle.

I had mixed feelings about this book. What turned me off the most was that it seemed to be three smaller stories in one. As a whole, the concept of this story was extremely interesting and had huge potential. With the story being broken up the way that it was, it felt like three underdeveloped stories in one, and each felt a bit rushed. Had there been more of a backstory here, then I could have easily fallen in love with this book. As it was, I found myself less and less connected to the characters as the story progressed. Clearly this book was meant to be very steamy and sexy and that was great. However, I would have enjoyed it more if the two characters had less sex and more conversation. Despite all of that, I did really enjoy reading this one, and it started off really strong for me, and did hold my interest the entire time. I just still wanted a bit more.

If you're looking for a different kind of book with lots of steam, then this one is for you. It was a very quick read for me. It got right to the point and had very little fluff. The characters were intriguing, as was the storyline, and, despite the few issues I had, it was a very fun read.

When you hear the name Sylvia Day, you automatically think of New York City, Gideon Cross and the beat damn book series of all time. The Crossfire Series introduced me to the amazing creations that Sylvia publishes and I’ll never turn back. Obviously with such a large readership with the Crossfire Series, Spellbound would need to compete with Sylvia’s previous works. The story was an exhilarating paranormal romance though it would not be something I would read all the time. This has everything to do with my own taste in book genres and nothing to do with Sylvia’s writing. You can never fault on the creative flow and exceptional language used in all of her novels.

After Victoria loses her “person” in life, she draws on the power she inherited from her deceased love and becomes secluded from the typical culture of her kind. This is when Max Westin walks into her life in order to draw her back to the ways of the Familiar through his dominant nature, attempting to make her submit to a warlock for the first time in her life. The only question is: will he succeed?

The greatest thing to come out of this book is Max. Though he is definitely NOT Gideon Cross, he is everything we all wish for in a book boyfriend. He’s built, possessive and an alpha male. He definitely captivates you with his dominant side. Not only is he persistent in his pursuit for Victoria, but he is confident enough to know he will succeed. I fell in love with him instantly!

Though the story wasn’t my cup of tea, it was thrilling enough to persuade me to keep reading. If you are a fan of paranormal erotic romance, then this is definitely a story that you will love. Though I wasn’t enamoured by this book, I’ll continue to support Sylvia’s writing career because she is my guilty pleasure that I’ll never get over. I can guarantee that a paperback copy of this book will make it onto my bookshelf, alphabetised straight into my Sylvia Day section.

I just finished Spellbound and it was a good read. This story is about Max and Victoria. Max is a Hunter and his job is to vanquish those who have crossed into black magic and have no hope of being saved. The Council has been grooming him to join their cause and they have assigned him a final task. To either collar or kill Victoria . Victoria is a Familiar and she is extracting revenge against the Council for the death of Darius, her warlock. He had also been groomed to join the Council but Darius had chosen Victoria instead which ultimately lead to his death. Hunter is sent to basically scope out Victoria and see if she is worth saving. He was not expecting to be entranced by her but what happens when you cannot help but fall in love with your other half? Do you choose love or commitment to the council? You will have to read and see.

I liked the story; I thought that it flowed well. I just don’t know if I was thinking of Crossfire series or what but this was ok for me. I just wasn’t expecting warlocks and hunters. It was a good read though and if you are into paranormal then this one would be for you.

I can tell you that Max was a hottie. He was sexy and all he wanted to do was tame Victoria . If I was her I would do it in a heartbeat. I can understand why at first she didn’t want to but it is hard to get away from Max. He is very persistent and what he wants, he gets. The chemistry between them too was hot, they just burned the pages.

If you are looking for a quick, sexy read with a paranormal twist then this is for you. It was an enjoyable read.

Having enjoyed the "Crossfire series" by Sylvia Day, I was curious about the paranormal world in which she had decided to take her readers with her new story.
The beginning between the familiar, the wardlock and the hunter made me think an episode of Supernatural. As I'm a fan of the Winchester brothers, I liked the mix of magic and hunter.

But I admit I was a little disappointed ... I found that the text had been mounted as if it were independent chapters, with a reminder of the previous adventures told at each new entry. It has plombed my reading a little!

The story is well written with sex scenes pretty well detailed ... Great... but now, I would have liked more development.
The plot deserved more answers to the "why" and "how" of the narrative. What about the council, the villains or Victoria's former lover? Am I the only to be curious?
A little more material would have been a plus to a texte full of clothes removed by magic.
There was the angle of the black magic, the takeover by Max, the possible rebellion ...

The potential to make this story a great paranormal romance was here...Instead, I got a fun story with super intense sex ...

It is interesting and captivating but...I would have expected more.

First, they get into having sex too soon making the book more pornographic as opposed to erotic. They'd just met and she had her clothing off. No. This was in the first few pages. Not at all romantic, just rather vulgar. Just saying.

There’s nothing new about witches and warlocks having familiars in the form of black cats. Sylvia Day put a new twist on it by making the familiar a shape shifter. Victoria St. John has been on her own for centuries since she lost Darius, her warlock. In her all-consuming grief she has constantly provoked the council that governs the world of witches, warlocks and familiars. The council has sent countless warlocks to reel her in over the years and all have failed miserably, until Max Westin.

Max and Victoria are a dangerous pairing. He is one of the most powerful warlocks and she has powers never before wielded by a familiar. Together they bolster each other’s power making them a formidable foe for those they hunt. Because Victoria has so much power it makes it difficult for her to submit to Max which is the only thing he asked of her when he claimed her for his own.

From the author of the best-selling Crossfire series comes yet another fantastic story, romance readers will thoroughly enjoy. A fast plot, sexy characters, and a dash of paranormal makes Spellbound a great read for readers looking for a quick weekend read.

I am normally into books like this, but I did not like this one at all. The plot was everywhere and the beginning scene kind of just threw you into the middle of a story without you really understanding what is going on. I also found that a lot of words were repetitive, especially during the steamy moments. Honestly? I have read better fanfiction.

The only reason I am giving this more than one star is because the author does have a good vocabulary, and the overall plot idea was alright.

Story about a witch and warlock Hunter like you never seen before.

Spellbound is scorching hot and a quick, fast-paced paranormal journey.

I was completely hooked from the second I started reading the book.

The story flaws perfectly and keeps you glued to it. I love how Sylvia crafted the characters of Max and Victoria and the world they live in.

Sylvia's writing style is remarkable, descriptive and flawless. She delivers the books that pull you in from the start and the storylines that keep you glued to them.

As usual Sylvia Day didn't disappoint. Spellbound will go into my "to be read again" pile. I can only hope that Ms. Day will continue Max and Victoria's story, I believe they have a lot more to say as well as some unfinished business with the Council. The writing is amazing. Sylvia Day always manages to give you so much in such a short time. She really does show you the story in a way that allows you to become lost in it. This book is full of action that I felt like I was watching, hearing and feeling first hand. The sex scenes are beyond steamy with characters you want to know personally, who wouldn't want a super hot Warlock. Great read.

Max Weston is a hot and sexy Dom and a warlock Hunter. He has orders from the counsel to bring her in line or kill her. Max is the person the counsel sends for the most complicated cases. His interactions lead Max to want keep Victoria. Max has with Victoria something he did not expect, and intense interaction and emotion connection. Max’s biggest issue is he is expected to take a seat on the counsel and he is to turn her over to a different Hunter.

Victoria is a strong and smart woman. She also has a big heart. She is a familiar and turns into a cat at will. She lost her first master who in his last dying breath gave her his magic making her the most powerful familiar. While Victoria is able to fend off all the other hunters that come for her Max is the one man strong enough to hold her.

The chemistry between Max and Victoria is blistering. They had a hard time keeping their hands off each other. The sex scenes were steamy. Both Victoria and Max had to deal with each of their pasts to even consider having a future with each other. In addition, their combined powers make them a force to be reckoned with.

I found this book to be well written with such engaging characters that kept me so engrossed in this book that I read it in one sitting. Ms. Day does a brilliant job of drawing in the reader in. This book has a different format than most books. It is similar to an anthology with three sections that could be considered short stories that are each connected to each other and build on the prior one. Overall, this was a wonderful book.

This story had potential, but it lacked true depth. The concept was interesting and different. But, the scenes weren't balanced around the sex and revolving story. The revolving story was scarce. I wasn't really conceived about Victoria's growth. I at least expected her to be more strong-willed and there to be more of a build up to her submission. She's portrayed as assertive, but she just caved to Max so easily. Yes, she lusted for him and there was some intense energy between them, but still an assertive woman at least tries to make 'the hunt' more of a challenge.

I borrowed this Kindle book from the library. The book was in three sections, and there was quite a bit of unnecessary recapping in each section. It was kind of distracting.

As an erotic romance it was good (Sylvia Day is one of the best erotic writers out there), but I didn't really like the paranormal aspect of it. I almost never read those kind of stories, just a personal preference. The ending was a bit abrupt, I wanted to see a little more of them exploring their redefined relationship.

The romance of a warlock and the Familiar he first has to tame and collar has overtones of the paranormal and BDSM to boot. Max is a Hunter; Victoria is a feral woman/ cat. Together they make an unusual pairing. The romance is full of steamy sexual encounters as well as magic. Overall, a unique contemporary erotic romance.

Some of the parts of this novel have also been published as short stories in various anthologies. Having read them, the feeling of desiring to know more is now answered, and thus it is worth reading.

I was so glad I got this from my library on my Kindle instead of forking out the money for it. This is being touted as a NEW release, when in actuality the story is from Alluring Tales: Awaken the Fantasy: A Familiar Kind of Magic by Sylvia Day and Alluring Tales: Hot Holiday Nights: “That Old Black Magic” by Sylvia Day, neither of which are referenced on Ms. Day's website. I am a huge fan, but this was a letdown when I started reading it and realized I had read this quite some time ago.

Spellbound was a provocative array of short erotic/paranormal stories. Readers will find these stories to be an interesting departure to what Day usually delivers. Hot and steamy dom/sub stories with a paranormal twist make for heady reading. Lovers of erotica and paranormal will find Max and Victoria's stories to be enticing.

This book had me clenching my thighs, biting my lip and saying oh shell yes yes yes. Loved it. The perfect combination of highly charged erotica and paranormal. I recommend it to every woman. Now I need to either take a week of cold showers or let the magic flow.

This story just had no....credibility. Yes, I understand that it involved magical characters and magical powers, but it felt like the author was trying tooo hard to make the erotic scenes mind-blowing, and it just ended up sounding silly and tiring. Also, the story felt rushed and had a cheesy plot.
Not your best work, Sylvia Day. I enjoyed the Crossfire Series far more.

ok maybe hate it is strong, but really it is bad unless you just want to read sex only. I mean the have sex in the first page or so, fall in love in the next few pages and have sex on every page. Boring.

I agree with a lot of the reviews I've seen. This story seemed rushed. The main focus was on the romance scenes & not on an actual plot. I am a fan of her Bared to You books & this really didn't feel like it came from the same person.

this is my first Sylvia day book, I've got the crossfire series waiting in the wings,I was told that sylvia was an incredible erotica writer, having just finally finished theFifty Shades of Grey trilogy I am now forever addicted to the erotic a style writing, but I have to sayso far this book has left me very confused and not wanting much more of it, frankly I'd like to return it if I could.I can only hope that her crossfire series gets much better

I have recommended Me. Day quite a few times to friends of mine letting them know what books I have already read. I am glad that she does not stay in the same character pattern but still uses the Dom/sub relationship.
