My son had separation anxiety when his father and I divorced. This book helped ease his mind when I would drop him off at daycare or at his father's house. If he gets upset I remind him that llama llama's momma came back and this eases his anxiety.

Started reading this book a few weeks before my 3yo started school. He and I both love this book. He asks for it every night. Great way to open dialogue on what to expect with events and feelings about this new life change for him.

Although my daughter is a social butterfly and has not one problem going to school she absolutely loves this book, along with all the other Llama Llama books. Easy to read with a cute little rhyming rhythm. Any book with a lot of emotion my daughter enjoys. Lots of emotion in these books.

I love the Llama Llama book series! Llama Llama Misses Mama would be perfect for preschoolers/kindergarteners on the first day of school. Llama Llama Red Pajama would be great for a bedtime story or an early childhood Pajama Day celebration. I would definitely recommend these books.

I got this book because my son is starting preschool in a few weeks and I want him to adjust as smoothly as possible. This book is great to teach kids it's okay to miss your mom and she WILL be back. You can enjoy time with mom and time at preschool.

My kids love all these Llalma books and the author doesn't disappoint with this newest installment "Llama Llama misses Mama". Little Llama has to wake up and go to school this morning but he has never been before. When Mama drops him off he is a little unsure. The other kids ask him to play and the teacher tries to help him feel comfortable but it is just too much for Llama. By lunch time he misses Mama. But all is not lost! He is able to find some friends and by the end of the day when Mama comes he has lots to show her and lots to tell!
This book is a great way to get kids ready for their first day of school! I hope there are many more Llama books to come! I definitely recommend this to parents. It is easy to read and not the kind that get annoying to read over and over again. I think I have read this to my kids once or twice a day since we got it (they chose what book to read at nap and bedtime and they choose this one!).

My children love the Llama, Llama books. This one is not as good as Llama, Llama Red Pajama, but it is very cute. It would be a really good book to give as a gift to prepare a child for their first day of preschool. Llama, Llama Mad at Mama is also a great book too. Still, don't even think about getting these books without buying Llama, Llama Red Pajama...it is one of our all time favorites!!!

I bought this for when my daughter started pre school, she loved it! she learned that mama always comes back for you at school to pick you up :-). It really shows the process of started pre school and separating from your parents.

My 4 year old daughter loves the llama llama series. She has been dealing with seperation anxiety for the last 9 months. Like in the book, I work and she goes to preschool. This helps with her understanding that I will return and she can have fun. I recommend this.

Love this book!!! It's so cute and vivid! Everything looks exactly the same as my daughter's school and how she behaved in the first few days there. I am going to read to her tmr to ease her anxiety (if any! Actually she is Doing pretty well there ) for school.

These books are great because they use simple words to teach simple lessons. Something like your kids getting mad at you or upset when you leave them at school is great to review through these books. Its a great discussion starter for the kids also. I love these books.

As with all the Llama Llama books, the pictures are great. I bought this book in preparation for my son starting daycare. We still read it at least 5 times a week. I think that my son particularly likes the rhyming pattern of these books. Fortunately, this is a book I don't mind reading over and over.

My 3 year old daughter loves "llama llama red pajama" so i bought this book before she started preschool thinking it would be a good introduction to what she can expect. I was a little surprised and dismayed at the negative tone of this book. I only read it once because 1) I could see it actually contributing to anxiety over preschool, and 2) this book uses the word 'hate' which I am not comfortable with. After I read the book to my daughter she walked around the house saying "I hate this, and I hate that" because in the book it says, "llama llama hates that book!" Not what I was looking for, will be adding to the donation pile.
