A Shade of Vampire 36: A King of Shadow

Storms are brewing! Shadians devided! A plan of action is needed! Oh the suspense!!!

The search is on for Julian but will the gang find more than they bargained for?

Queen Trina starts to reveal her true colors, but frustratingly Ash seems to be either oblivious or ignorant to this. Ruby loyally stands by him despite this but for how long can she persevere when clue after clue reveals to her that all is not how it seems in the queen’s palace?

Hazel and Tejus struggle to move past their chaste kiss but their bond is obviously too strong to be defeated by such awkward hurdles. They become closer still as they do research together to find out why they are stuck in the castle by an unauthorized border and with strange weather occurrences happening outside. Whilst researching and finally witnessing what has been going on with Benedict they eventually start to find answers to the mystery within Tejus’ past.

The original Shadians are now at Murkbeech and hot on the trail of their youngsters. Furious that someone or something has had the audacity to mess with the children of the Shade, they are ready to rein all sorts of hell on their new enemies using GASP. But first, they have to figure out who this is. Dare I say – I think things are going to get dangerous for the Sentries once they work this out!

All in all, an imaginative, compelling and captive addition to The Shade series!

Could not put this down!!! Bella is so so talented at building up a story with several avenues for various characters & they all intertwine into a giant explosion! But you only see the result of the explosion when she gets to it at her own pace. I'd consider her writing very highly up there with Hitchcock the way she brings in the suspense. Wow!
I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens. You get everything ! Twists turns romance frustration shock & surprise even while not learning the result yet. Now that's complete brilliance!!! Yes please! On with the next....

I'm loving where this next instalment is taking us and going, a little darker and a little more twisted the way I like it keeping me gripped and getting to know some of the characters a little better.

Oh Tejus, Hazel's love seesaw keeps us guessing and will he settle the balance and reveal his feelings to her this time?
Ash, Ruby, Benedict, Julian Queen Trina.....No spoilers and ruining a good journey of escapism.

It saddens me when I near the end, it's an Shaddictive hunger with these books....
I NEED MORE!!!

The characters are developed enough to keep your attention though the writer has become somewhat predictable in the order of things. Hero/Heroine gets in trouble (usually kidnapped) falls in love, gets out of trouble, everyone lives happily ever after till the next generation gets to the age of about 16 or 17. What holds the attention is the twist & turns the writer uses.

From a camping adventure to being trapped in another world with even more supernatural creatures, this epic saga continues to draw me into its complex web! They are surviving with the guardians and still awaiting their parents to find them. This edition of the saga does not fail to deliver on mystery, suspense, and twists and turns to keep you guessing! Another great read and always pleased! This voluntary review is based against a Kindle Unlimited copy.

I'm so excited!! I wonder how everything is going to link together! I can't wait till the next book comes out! But i have to say that i felt like the book was getting stretched out. I was getting frustrated with Benedict the whole time! Why didn't he tell anybody about what was going on? Benedict's character was bugging me.

Bella has done it once again!!! A king of Shadow is just as amazing the rest of the shade books. The love between Hazel and Tejus is strong. But you never know what is going to happen!!! I absolutely love this book. You see more from Ruby and Benedict. You even have a couple of chapters from Julian. It isnt juat based on Hazel. Which is a nice change since all four characters are going through something similar but different at the same time!!

The search is on for Julian, and Benedict comes up with a plan to find out where he goes in his night time wanderings. Whilst this is going on Ruby and Hazel continue to work out their feelings for Ash and Tejus. What is the mystery behind the stones, and who or what is the entity? Read on….. all will be revealed, or will it?

OK obviously these books are amazing or I wouldn't be on book number 36, but this was really amazing, she just takes you into these new worlds, away from the shade and into another world, very cool very adventurous, I really enjoyed this book, I can't wait to read the next one!

Much better than 35. I love the character development! I'm frustrated about not understanding the connection yet (assuming there's going to be) between what's happening on earth & in the supernatural realm...

I'm absolutely obscessed with this series it is unbelievably fantastic! I truly never want it to and like other reviews have said it is a roller coaster of emotions and always leaves you wanting another book! LOVE IT!

I like this story line more than some previous stories of the shade series. One problem is the "falling in love with the kidnapper" trope is getting kinda old. I really like hazel and tegus as a couple but the tension and chemistry between the two is lacking a lot.
