A Novel (Charley Davidson Series) - The Dirt on Ninth Grave

I have to say that I LOVE CHARLEY DAVIDSON BOOKS! Not only are they sexy but hilarious also. She's sassy along with her side-kick best friend Cookie. I read one after the other and could not put them down. Trust me when I say they are very worth your time and money!

Darynda Jones has been able to add & maintain the same basic characters throughout every book. And yet every one had new problems which are solved, some with daring confusion while the main theme problem runs throughout. She brings in science fiction, evils & Gods and makes them thrilling.

The fabulous Darynda did it again! This series just keeps getting better each time. These books are the first I recommend to people asking for something to read. If a book can make me smile, laugh out loud (seriously, the strange looks I get are priceless), and cry in the same chapter then you bet your Lebaron (or insert any car here) that I'm going to push it out there for your reading enjoyment. I would love to put more details about this particular book, but then it'll take out the fun of reading it for yourself!

While I love this series and am impatient for installments, this one was confusing. Having Charley go through this entire book as Janey, surrounded by her family and loved ones, but with amnesia seemed pointless. But I loved the ending with James.

I wouldn't have thought the premise could be carried out for an entire book, but it was, and I really enjoyed it. It was almost a break or diversion from the rest of the series - an enjoyable detour.

I absolutely love Darynda Jones' writing. Her characters are like family- funny, caring, crazy! She does a wonderful job of layering her story lines to all come together in the end without being obvious. Her balance of humor and darkness are spot on; she knows exactly how to lighten the tension. REYES ALEXANDER FARROW! If I wasn't happily married, I could easily be in a serious relationship with this fictional character. Do yourself a favor and get all nine books. You will not regret it!

Live these characters always! My favorite series!!! Charley is so witty. Caring. Sweet and sarcastic! I wish she would have gotten her memory back a bit quicker, as I read. But, really, the story came together just as it should have.... Can't wait for #10. Also. Who doesn't live Reyes?

Darynda Jones has a wonderful sense of humor and a great writing style. The stories pull you in and keep you interested all the way to the end. Then depression sets in... "It's over??? It CAN'T be over!" Thank you, Darynda.

As always Darynda Jones has delivered a usual angsty-humorous story with all our favourite characters supporting Charley. The quips flow fast and furious and the story continues to arc towards a (hopefully) happy ending.

I really enjoy the quick-paced writing of Jones and her very likeable characters. Jones always keeps the reader turning the pages to see what happens next to Reyes and Charlie. Great recreational reading.

Charley and Reyes' story grabbed me from the first book, and continues to keep me riveted. When the series is done, I think I'll have to go back and read the entire thing in a power session. I love these books!

True to form. Lust, love, determination. All there. I don't want to add spoilers. If you have read the last eight you already know how these characters hold on to you and keep you wanting more. I read them too fast. This will linger for a few days. Replaying some parts over to make sure I understood the dynamics.
I just love Charley. The constant words in her head. So relatable.
Just read it.

Ma'am...Darynda...you have outdone yourself. I will NOT spoil anything for any future readers. All I will say is: After you buy this book, you're going to pissed that you didn't buy it sooner, thereby depriving yourself of this amazing story/experience. You're welcome.

I love the entire "Grave" series, but each one is better than the one before. I was anxious for this book, I couldn't imagine how Darynda would follow up the cliff-hanger at the end of Eighth Grave, but she did a fabulous job. I haven't been disappointed by one of her books yet!
