This is a very competent thesaurus. However, I do not recommend it to new/young readers and writers. My son was lost without the 'lettered' pages and the small print. I'm definitely going to keep this book because it will be invaluable to him when he's 9-10 years old. I'm going to look for a more rudimentary option on the store. Good luck!

Terrible. Don't waste your money. We bought this for our 3rd grader, who is getting words like "persuade" in which to find an antonym. Thesaurus.com has antonyms, this book - not so much. I wanted to teach her to look things up the old fashioned way - in a book. Since Thesaurus.com uses Roget's 21st Century Thesaurus, I have now purchased that one, and it's on its way. Don't waste your money. This is too basic for 3rd grade in Texas.
