This book was pretty amazing! GOD wanted this guy to live! It shows U GOD knows exactly where each of us is at all times! It was also pretty amazing that he didn't remember his visit to heaven until later. It changed his life that is for sure!?

Thank you for sharing your story. This is a true testament to God and what he can truely do and how we can build a better relationship with Him. This story certainly helps me when faced with my own struggles.

The author offered some interesting insights to his experience with near death. The narrative was a bit boring and redundant at times, specifically about the rehabilitation process. I didn't like the ending of the book. It seemed the author began the theme with obvious humility, which I found desirable. The theme shifted toward more of his accomplishments and knowledge, which seemed to counter the richness I found in the first half of the book.

After recently losing a friend and more than several family members, I read this book in hope that I could mend. To me it was very comforting. The author did not appear to embellish, profit from, or otherwise expand upon his experience. I found it to be restorative and healing.

"Flight to Heaven" is about a serious accident that led to a spiritual journey which involved faith and a miraculous healing. The story is completely compelling and will keep you on the edge of your seat. The spiritual struggles the author goes through also had me close to tears. I was profoundly touched by this story and I've read many NDEs before. None seemed quiet as real as this one. It is true that the author only briefly discusses his trip to heaven, probably because he had a lot of memory loss. What he does remember he describes beautifully and accurately. I think he explains the vivid colors in heaven the best. So if you are only looking for detailed descriptions of heaven those can be found but this book goes much deeper into an engaging story of spiritual transformation. A heart is changed and that heart leads other hearts to a greater knowledge of Jesus' love for the world. After reading this story you will in no way doubt why Capt. Dale Black survived his plane crash when he was 19. God took some extreme measures to prepare his life for service. Wow, what a story!

This book was excellent. Very suspenseful, and a powerful testimony of God working in his life. Although this man's experience in heaven was brief, I was pleased that he did not waste that experience here on earth and choose to tell his story in God's timing. Worth the read. I highly recommend it. I bought a couple more to to share with family and friends.

A talented and hard working young man literally soars to the sky with great ambition. An accident, of which he was spared his life, changed his goals, but flying was still the chosen tool of his trade. Immediately after the accident, Dale is led to heaven and he describes heavens completeness, joy, and divinity that sustains the whole. His life and the life of all those he meets are forever changed after this experience.

Amazing, very well written book! I read it because I am fascinated by books about heaven but this book is about so much more! Dale Blacks story kept me on the edge of my seat and filled me with hope, love and encouragement about the power of Gods love in our lives! Highly recommend this book!!

I thought his physical and spiritual comeback was terrific. I thought he made a decent effort to describe heaven. However, as I read more NDE books, I'm beginning to be convinced that nobody who sees heaven can accurately convey what heaven is REALLY to those of us who haven't seen it.

An amazing story where God receives the credit for everything in this man's life. The only story about someone's journey to heaven that I believe.Christian or not I highly recommend you read this book. I only wish that I could meet him but know if not on earth then I will in heaven.

Uplifting, and interesting. Dale Black doesn't bring you down with the account of his physical journey of recovery. He celebrates his triumps over adversity and finishes the account of his life experiences in an exciting way. I really enjoyed the story.

Picked it up with anticipation, but was disappointed. Story eventually became about author's self motivated attempts to be a "good witness" through his tragedy, or even his own efforts to perform up to his own self-appointed goals and schedules. God takes a blow in the face by our humanness rather than letting Him just be God in the face of life's tragedies.

A great journey through one man's personal history with God that enlightens, encourages, and challenges us to trust God and seek more of Him in every moment. It firmly reminded me that by putting Him first each day He will inspire me to love Him with all of my heart, mind, and strength as He loves me. This book will remind you that God is bigger than anything and in control of everything to our good, if we trust Him. Amen.

I thought I was going to hear something very spectacular but it was not very much detail about heaven. All he talked about was his passion for flying and his relationship with Lord Jesus Christ. I was disappointed because I expected to hear more details about heaven and what it looked like. He had wonderful flying skills and survived a deadly plane crash which was amazing.

Wonderful book! Inspiring! Very believable. A great story of a survivor when it was impossible to survive! A person CAN die and come back to this life, if God chooses for us to be here. And the other side is so wonderful that it can't be described in our words.

Amazing story about the only survivor of a plane crash. The doctors did not think he would recover, but he did to become an airline pilot. Some of his recovery was miraculous according to the doctor and everyone else. He also became an amazing witness to the power of God.

Dale Black's life story is amazing and encouraging on so many levels. A life so full deserves to be recorded, and the time Dale spent in heaven rings true, in line with biblical truth. for those who aren't sure there is as heaven or God, I encourage you to read this book. The story of a tenacious young man overcoming life's toughest challenges is inspiring, and the amazing twists and turns will keep you turning pages until the end. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

His description of heaven reveals these amazing, beautiful flowers with colors that are beyond description. Also, the music and singing were so magnificent that his description of them are beyond what our ears have never heard.

Dale's injuries he received in the plane crash were so horrific, however, through his faith, the Lord healed him in so many areas of his body. His story will bring tears to your eyes and increase your faith immensely.

Dale Black has one of the most amazing life stories I have ever read. From selfish, arrogant teenager who thought the world was his oyster, to physical wreck and emotional despair, and all the way back to complete physical and spiritual wholeness. All they way, inspired by healings that had no earthly explanation . . . . yet there they were!

This is a story about a kid who yearned to fly, and who was nearly killed by a flight before his career really started. Did he visit heaven during his healing? I don't know. You will need to judge for yourself. But you will be left with no doubt that something very real changed in him on that July morning in 1969. Dale tells a compelling story of complete life change, of seeking hard after God, of faith growing through tests, trials, and witness to miracles.

This books is a quick read, well worth your time, and he will cause you to examine your own life, your own faith journey, no matter where you stand right now. Highly recommended!

Flight to Heaven was a very good book. reminded me of my son who always wanted to fly aircraft. I worry about him sometimes', He took 8 years and built his own airplane and has been flying now for 2 years. I was his first passenger. he is 53 years old now and finally accomplished his dream

This was a great book and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in life after death experiences. It is one of the few that also include a true path to salvation through Jesus. Dale's experience was without doubt a miracle from God which changed his life forever. A page turner for sure. Hard to put down.

This was the most interesting book. I loved the way he told his story, with a beginning that you couldn't wait to read the ending to. Very genuine and I love how this person is close to God. Loved the transformation he describes he experienced and what he did with it. I would recommend this to book to anyone who has lost a loved one to give them peace about where they are.

Very touching and amazing testimony. I was impressed by his humility and his determination to seek and obey God's will. And most importantly, not to forget his journey to heaven the first time, then the rest of his life in the second journey to heaven.

This book takes you on quite a journey. It defines the meaning of faith, hope, love and determination, with a sprinkling of all-too-human moments of self doubt, guilt, and anger. The author does share his sneak peek into heaven... And you will thank him for allowing us to be there with him for a few minutes.

One of my absolute favorite reads! The author is so humble you can feel his love and honesty. Anyone doubting God must pick up this book! If we could all pass along just a fraction of the love the world would be a different place!

As a retired airline pilot of 34 wonderful years, Dale's story was especially interesting to me. His book captivated my interest from beginning to end. His career and spiritual journey were extraordinary.
Some may be skeptical about his heavenly visit but all what happened after his accident will remove anyone's skepticism.
