I hate leaving negative reviews but I really didn't get in to this book. I found it really hard to read and felt that a lot of the chapters didn't need to be in there. It was very uneventful, by the end I was left thinking not much happened in the book.

Bought this entire series based on someone else's suggestion, for my girl to have something exciting to read
If books written in the tone of a feminist female, "girl descriptive" is your thing then this series is an okay read. My girl, who the series was bought for, tossed the first book aside and didn't read anymore.

I have literally been DEVOURING this series ever since I picked up the first book. This is going to end up being a huge hit, a big thing! I have to admit, when I first started the series, the covers didn't not speak to me and I only picked up book 1 because it was free and recommended to me. The story, however, across the three books I have read, does not disappoint AT ALL! After the way book 2 left Kian and Syssi, I could NOT pause before moving on to book 3. I might have died if book 3 wasn't ready! Seeing Kian come back to Syssi in book 3 was everything I NEEDED and MORE! This is a beautifully calculated plot with an EPIC romance of star-crossed lovers. You don't want to miss out. This book is not lacking in any way. Love this series and can't get enough!

I didn’t realize it was possible, but the story has managed to just keep getting better!
Vampires are my creature feature of choice, but finding a decent series can be difficult. The first three books of this series feature Kian and Syssi, but there are other characters who also have a main role, especially is this book.
There’s the standard story of Kian and Syssi. A love interest so intense that the two cannot be without one another. But really my favorite part came to be about Amanda and how the focus has somewhat shifted to her and Andrew, as well as Michael. I love how the author was able to intertwine all these stories together in a way that leaves me wanting more! And lets not forget Dalhu! I don’t even know what to think of this bad guy, I just…I want to know what happens next!!

Engrossing. Enveloping. Enticing. Exciting. This is the world of the Children of the Gods by I.T. Lucas. In this third installment, the lives of Syssi and Michael, the mortals with the potential immortal gene, are put on the line. If they are not immortal, both may face irreversible brain damage and still have to leave their mortal lives behind because they have been allowed into the inner sanctum of the immortals. Syssi feels betrayed by this scenario and her lover and the immortal's regent, Kian, is not helpful because he wants her to have the freedom to make her own choices. This is very contrary to his alpha nature. However, circumstances on the horizon will take away everyone's choice.
This third book did not disappoint as the love story for Syssi and Kian reaches a pinnacle and one for Amanda, Kian's sister, launches. This book ends on a closed story arc, but to find out the conclusion of the battle between the immortal clans, I think I will have to pick up the Dark Enemy trilogy next. Personally, I can't wait. These books were that good. The entire trilogy is currently available and is a Kindle Unlimited offering.

Dark Stranger Immortal I.T. Lucas
A simply delectably alluring read. Syssi and Kian did it again, entertained my every whim, aargh…..! I like how the story thickened, not cheesy at all, a lot of ‘playing’ if you get my drift but I felt the devotion and commitment with many humorous moments which eased the tension, whose tension? Every character in this story had me laughing or tensed my muscles or chastise either Kian or Syssi. Amanda you got to love her, what an appetite, I wonder if she will meet her match, hmm. . . it might just work with someone I have in mind and by what I read here I hope it does. Shucks I have to find out so I got to get the next one. Dalhu, very interesting character, looks and body to drool over but is he in the same league with Kian? You need to read the book for yourself. Michael, what a surprise, the little brother you never had but little, no way. Attraction deepens and Kri steps in and stake her claim and I’m rooting for them all the way like I rooted for Kian and Syssi. One more character, Andrew this fellow reeks testosterone and Syssi’ big brother. However my favorite is still Kian fang and all. What’s up with the fangs, smells and promiscuity, I guess you haven’t kept up? You should though, quite exciting, so enticing besides the obvious. I received a free digital download in exchange for a review and it was pIeasure! Thank you so much, Darlene Cruz

Reading about Syssi Spivak's difficult transformation to become immortal was interesting but Dalhu's pursuit of Amanda was endearing. He (a Doomer) has fallen in ? with the Professor (an Immortal). I'm sure her brother Kian will be pissed and on the warpath to find the clan's mortal enemy in the next book of this series. Can't wait to read it.

I liked the premise and the writing style, for the most part. What really bothered me about Syssi and Kian's story was the fact that she was supposed to be a seer, but she literally has next to NO visions or forewarning at all in the second and third books. I mean, her paranormal ability is what clues them into her Dormant status. She is supposed to be the most powerful one they've found, yet she has NO contribution to the plot in this manner. That being said, the characters are well developed, but the dialog sometimes felt corny and forced. Attempts at humor were a little lacking. The romance was okay, but there was a lot of the "we can't be together" stuff as well as inner turmoil. That alone took up most of the pages. I skipped most of it. One other thing...if you dislike books in which the point of view repeatedly switches, you won't like this one. It's not just between the hero and heroine, but all the supporting characters too. Like 10 or more different people.

I had a really hard time getting through book one...but really love the original paranormal story line and gave book 2 and 3 a try. Much better and really enjoying the multiple characters POVS and building of future stories. As hoped the writing continues to improve!! On to book 4!!

This story was exciting and interesting . I couldn't wait to turn the page to see what disaster was affecting Kian, Syssi Amanda and the clan. It was good to follow the translation of Michael and Syssi as well as getting up close and personal with Andrew. Interesting but for mature readers.. Amanda is in over her head.

After reading the third book in this series, I still have mixed feelings. While I think the story is original and interesting, it could be told in much fewer installments. The only good thing is that the books are free on Kindle Unlimited. I am discouraged after reading the preview first three chapters of book four. There is much material that is just a retelling of sections of the previous book.

As Kian and Syssi's love grows, a dangerous situation arises. Syssi's life is in danger and a female immortal is kidnapped by a Doomer...In the eyes of most, it's a fate worse than death. An unlikely ally is brought into the fold. Two new immortals arise... Who are they and what will this mean for Kian's clan? You're in for another adventure! It's a must-read series!

There are so many things wrong with this series but something about the story made me want to read all three. This was painfully awful and at the same time it wasn’t, there is so much potential in this series to make it great but as it stands it is unexceptional.
This book DESPERATELY NEEDS some serious TLC in the editing department, and I’m not just speaking about the typos and grammar issues. Content wise the author would have greatly benefited from a good editor to give insight on the flow of the story and character development.
There are so many things that I did not like about Syssi's character (starting with her name) that I won't mention them all. She supposedly has premonitions, very accurate ones at that. Yet, throughout the book she gets two bad feelings. This is one of the things that made her interesting, the first three pages of the book were what got me interested and this was an important aspect. It was so disappointing that this “minor detail” only gets mentioned as her supernatural ability and not actually explored in the plot or to enrich her character. Her obsession with saving money was over the top and annoying, she needs a therapist not a bank account. She is an insecure character and sadly remains so until the end of the book. I wish the author had given her some self-confidence and although no "ass-kicking" was required a spine would have been nice.
Kian is a two thousand year old immortal, with the mentality of a teenage boy from an ultra conservative family that has never seen beyond the walls of the village somewhere in the dark ages. He never does anything that marks him as alpha of his clan, fighting is done by others, with the exception of scaring the crap out of a kid and biting the insecure money obsessed female. This guy can morph into any shape he desires, but does the author exploit this? Not once, no fighting scenes that show us the beast in him.
I reached the end of book 3, the last of Kian’s and Syssi’s story and to my utter disappointment there is no ending! No ENDING!
How do you tell a story about two people for three books and come the end of book three and there is no end?
Why the 3 star rating? Because for some screwed up reason beyond mortal comprehension I actually enjoyed them. Overall the concept of the story is good, the secondary characters are interesting enough to warrant further development and with a good editor these books could then truly be compared to the Black Dagger Brotherhood. As they stand, I am sorry to say but they are so far behind that the BDB are not even within their sights.
