The interesting story line continues while turning on the heat in this second part of the series. Syssi and Kian and the rest of the immortals kept me reading until I finished it in one seating. I'm ready for the next one.

I wish the author edited this book better. I think the storyline is an interesting one, but the many many grammatical errors are distracting and disappointing. Still, I was able to finish the book relatively quickly and am interested in the next, so it still gets 3 stars!

Better than the first book, but still not a complete book - just the second part of one book. I hope that makes sense. More happened in this one, and it didn't drag as much. Looking forward to the next, it should be even more interesting.

Mildly entertaining at first but it goes nowhere...There is no character development and very little plot. There's just not much in these books - very happy I didn't pay much for the digital versions. Any resemblance to the the Black Dagger Series is completely superficial - don't be fooled.

The first book was good, but the second one seems like it was written by a completely different author. I'm one third of the way through it and keep reading hoping that it will get interesting. There's no interesting story line and the conversations are superficial and sound like the conversations of young teenagers. What happened?

Bought this entire series based on someone else's suggestion, for my girl to have something exciting to read
If books written in the tone of a feminist female, "girl descriptive" is your thing then this series is an okay read. My girl, who the series was bought for, tossed the first book aside and didn't read anymore.

Syssi is introduced to a whole new experience when she meets Kian in this second book she has been in a holding pattern since her break up with her boyfriend of for years thinking love is all a bunch of hoopla until she claps eyes on Amanda's sexy as sin brother Kian, now she is finding out what all the fuss was about but she is also finding the experiments she and Amanda have been working on with other students have allot more at stake than she may have believed. She is figuring out that in the background there are things going on that she can never speak of and it is incredibly unbelievable.

Mythology stories are some of my favorite, and I really love the twist in this series!
The relationship between Kian and Syssi continues to grow, as does the general plot of the story. The Doomers are edging in closer to the Kian's family, and Syssi is right in their line of sight. It gives a sense of impending doom to go along with the romantic side, so the story is well balanced and not too focused on the mushy and steamy.
I really love how the characters continue to change and develop, rather than remaining one dimensional beings. They really have you rooting for (or against) them, which I think any good book should do.
I can't wait to read the third one, I only stopped long enough between books to write this review!

The ultimate pleasurable chase laced with humor, jealously overflowing with testosterone and scientific findings. Their future of multiplying depends on the ‘Dormants’ and this is where the hunt begins. Kian and Syssi just pure delight and excitement whether being together or not. I was so focus on them that I became a true fan. They made me laugh and cringe most of the time especially Kian when puts his foot in his mouth, but all is forgiven when he stands their in all his glory (got carried away, delete delete). Ha . . .ha . . . ha!!! Just reading about the unknown, unknown future of their kind. There is Dalhu, why does he keep a framed picture of someone he could never have? Hmm . . . never say never. The story gets you pumped up and you cannot stop reading it. Unbelievable characters, how enjoyable it was to read about their traits and their roles. Made me wonder, do they exist? Wishful thinking on my part. Oh, the Guardians well I flipped out reading about them and I know you will agree too, you guessed it, ‘TESTOSTERONE’ galore. Clueless Kian made the story humorous, but beware Kian is not one to solicit a challenge, something deadly flows in his blood. For being as old as he is you would think he would be proficient in the ‘feelings’ department when it came to women. His temperament made me flinch with excitement because I knew the consequences he would have to pay and it became laughable but also hug hugs. Poor Syssi, to find what she most needed only to presume it will not last, decisions to go forward weighs heavy and the question she will have to answer, will she agree? I thoroughly was entertained and pleasantly taken away to a world of mystical fascination only due to the author’s wild imagination and expressive writing. Thank you for the free book and this is my honest review.

Believing in the Gods of Mesopotamia, the premise and possibility of these scenarios are fresh and intriguing. Ms. Lucas's characters are believable and from the first, we new friends and family to overcome all the trials and obstacles, reaching their own "happy ever after"

Syssi is definitely falling for Kian and knows it. Kian is also close. He thinks he's being honest, but his choice of words hurt Syssi. I can't wait to see what happens at the end of this trilogy! Several characters are being primed for follow-up books. I love this world! It is intriguing; small mysteries are answered; and humor has you snickering to bursts of laughter. I'm starting Kian's and Syssi's finale at the end of this review. I.T. Lucas has snagged another devoted fan!

This series is my favorite paranormal romance series. I have read JR Wards books and I love the children of the gods so much more. IT Lucas always leaves me happy and I don't finish the book feeling depressed, I finish the books feeling like I cannot wait another second for the next one and always satisfied with how the characters are left off.
