Koontz at his absolute finest! Strangers takes you through all the ups and downs on an intriguing, mysterious journey toward an ending you couldn't possibly see coming, while at the same time showing us all the dark of the thing we call humanity.

Strangers is not a short read. In fact, there were times I wished it would hurry along - but ultimately, the end was so worth the wait. I thought the ending was beautiful; the prospect of what could-be reduced me to both smiles and tears. I've never felt that depth of emotion over an ending before. There are a lot of characters in this book but Koontz does a fine job of helping you keep track. I have read many of Dean Koontz's books, but overall I think this is one of his best.

This is an exciting, rather long book. But it can hold the excitement up and in the end provide a plausible explanation. Koontz is really good at that. You just had to go on reading , evening after evening.

Excellent story that grabbed my attention within two pages. It could have been long and drawn out, but somehow it wasn't. Moved right along. The final revelation was a little predictable, but the story was excellent. Wonderfully drawn characters I missed once the story was over with.

Anyone who has ever read Dean koontz will want to become involved in the mystery and suspense it offers. It is one of the few books I've ever read more than once and would highly recommend this as a first of koontz or a last. Just read it. You'll never regret it.

I thought I would never finish this long and boring book. I didn’t think there could be a Dean Koontz book I hated, but I was wrong. I’ve read about 24 of them so far and loved every one except “Your Heart Belongs to Me” which I merely liked. This tedious book gets only two stars. There were too many main characters, too much repetition recounting the "inciting incident", boring dialogue, and the stunning, elevating moments I expect in a Dean Koontz book were few and far between. Even the metaphors in this one were poor. Did Koontz even write the thing? It reads like an amateur trying to write like the master. Impatiently I skimmed many, many pages trying to get to the end. The mooon, the mooooonnn!

I was very glad that Mr. Koontz resisted pressure to cut the number of characters and abridge his book. The novel is so complex and the characters so interconnected that the result would have been far inferior to what we have.

No surprise here.Thai is an older Koontz book, which I read when it was new.Just read it again, and it is as good as the first time.A Master storyteller.Horror without gore, and always a lesson in true humility.

i love thebook strangers. having always likrd science fiction and philosphy dean koontzsbooks delve into both genres
strangers is the classic alien lands on earth tale but so difeerent because it fully exores the experience of an alien landing from the perapective of whT the humans really think about such a happening and its future implications.
i would love a sequel or continuatiln of this story

Mr. Koontz creates the most wonderful characters. Characters that you would not mind knowing in daily life. And not just in this book. Although there are Dean Koontz books I have not cared for as much as this one I can honestly say that there has never been a character I did not like immediately.

On the whole an entertaining read with the usual excellent character development Thai you get with Dean Koontz The only reason that I didn't give this 5 stars is it became a little ponderous in the middle but still a cracking read.

This book was not one of Dean Koontz better books. There was way to much beating around the bush about an ending that anyone can see coming a mile away. The characters are the usual Dean Koontz characters. The good guys are all good and the bad guys are all bad. No middle ground. Usually the best part of a Dean Koontz novel is his narration from the bad guys perspective, which this book somewhat lacks. I wouldn't recommend this book.
