Having worked with EMS in an HR role, everything in this book hit home. The stories of calls, the fact that EMS is a totally different breed, that you get used to the horrible calls, all true. Even as a stranger looking in I found the stories fascinating, even if they are gross to the outsider looking in.

This book was fast paced and a fascinating read. The description of Grady was accurate because I worked there 25 years. Not in the ER or trauma but reading about it was interesting from someone who lived this craziness every day.

Wild Ride Indeed. This is a fascinating and very personal look into the world of EMS. Hazzard's detailed and graphic accounts of his encounters in Atlanta while working for the public health system are enlightening. I also pray I never have to ride in the back of an ambulance, ever!

A fun read that pretty accurately portrays the thoughts of first responders. Hazard does a nice job continuing a narrative throughout using specific stories to highlight his experiences and thoughts during specific times in his career.

Awesome read! Hazzard is an excellent nararater. Taking the reader from emt school through the culmination of the career of a medic at one of the busiest hospitals in the US. You won't want to put it down.
