There were times I wanted to put this book down, but it was the honesty that got me.
'Tis the "taming if the shrew". Really.
Tack gets her woman and she succumbs to his lifestyle. She is happy, and there is nothing wrong with that. End of story.

This is the first book I have ever read by this author. I LOVED IT!!!! The story line, the characters were so real and so relatable. I cannot wait to read more of her books. I love books like this where the author can actually make me feel the emotions the characters are going through. I cannot wait to read others by her.

Honestly I do. Hot scary biker dude with a killer attitude, loaded with tats, Oh yeah put it on my wish list I would like a Kane "Tack" Allen for Christmas.
Once you read this book you will too. The chemistry between Tack and Red is explosive. Red(Tyra)an independent and sassy woman who put her foot in to the biker world, then gets thrown for a loop.
Add in a hot biker dude and you get a drama, steamy, and an attitude filled read.
Promise !!

There is Alpha Males then there is ALPHA males. Tack irked me and was way too forceful in his approach with Tyra.
His arrogance and caveman mentality and possessiveness toward Tyra was just way over the top.
It was a good book and I enjoyed the read, but Tack's character was a bit much for me.

So, I won't go over the story or the plot with you. If you need that read someone elses post. What I will tell you is Tack and Tyra were good. It was a nice way to round out the series. I wouldn't recommend reading this book first because all the guys in the series make an appearance. My personal favorite is Mitch but that's me. I like the way KA finished out the series and in the Epiloge made me thristy for more. There are a few characters in other series that I have always thought should have their own book, those characters being the kids. In the spin off series it looks like she is going to do just that. I'm looking forward to it.
I didn't give this a five star because the way Tack manhandles Tyra, in the state of California, is considered domestic violence. When someone asks to leave or they want you to leave them along you do it. Not complying makes the person making the request feel trapped and defeated. I didn't like that feeling so I had to take away a star. But I'll remain a KA fan. That's my Gurl!!

This book is by far the best of the series, and this is saying a lot, seeing as I loved all of them! Tack is so fun to love because of the way he teases and infuriates Tyra.... It's obvious Tyra has a hard time adjusting to Tack's world and she isn't so willing to be sucked in that easily, either. I'm just glad that she finally worked things out with Tack... :)
I can understand Tyra's pain at growing used to Tack. It would be hard to adjust, especially when Tack is sending out so many mixed signals. I love all of the bikers, especially Brick and Dog. I don't know why but they're growing on me.
This is different than Gwen's story, obviously Gwen didn't have a super-awesome, kickass Aunt with the cool name of Bette, right? I mean, who wouldn't want an aunt who was in the air-force and into some pretty cool stuff, right? Especially when said aunt is respected by HAWK!!!!
In most of KA's books, she mixes in heartbreak that keeps the story flowing and the really painful, edge-of-your-seat endings. And let me tell you, I was on the edge of my seat almost all of the way through this book! It also reminds me of The Golden Dynasty (another one of KA's fabulous books) because Tyra and Tack are working their relationship out, and Tack sometimes screws up (not that Tyra doesn't also) and he hurts Tyra unintentially just like Lahn screws up with Circe...
Kristen Ashley (my hero) really went all out this time and gave us a book we'll never forget!!!!

I've read this entire Dream Man series...while I loved Mystery Man. I can say that this, by far, is my favorite. Kane "Tack" Allen is the man of my dreams too. I've read just about all Kristen Ashley's books and while I have enjoyed just about all of her books. I really loved this series. This series is hot, hot, hot!

when i read the sample i thought why not? So i bought it, sigh....First off i really liked Tack he was everything he should be, my issue is with Kyra or Red and it amazed me he fell for her. I felt she did not fit Tack at all, she's was whinny, and half the time she came off as dumb, really i wanted to bitch slap that woman. I almost gave up reading except i liked Tack and his kids, the over all surrounding characters were interesting which made the story worth ready. Sorry i think bikers need more fire and aggressive women to make the Hero stand out. Although the ending was better then the middle.PLEASE EDITOR NEEDED!

Love the characters. Great story line. Unfortunately the author stumbled with the dialogue and kept stating the obvious. Ending up in a "he said" or "she said" cliches.
It stagnates and takes away from the flow of the story.
At times it was painful to read and to make it through I skip read a whole lot.
This author has awesome potential and would benefit from having someone shadow her work - reckon once she sorted this out, her books would truly kick it.
Not keen of repeating this experience again.

Let me start off by saying that this is only my second book by KA. The first one I read was Knight (The Unfinished Hero Series) and I was pretty much blown away by it. Her writing kind of took some getting used to since sometimes she writes with stilted sentences and the hero swore constantly to the point of not making sense, but Knight was unique and I really enjoyed it and daydreamed about the hero for weeks, lol.
I picked this one up because I wanted to try something else by her. All her others books didn't really appeal to me. I don't really like action packed bad guys trying to kill me stories, and it seemed like that's pretty much what all the other books were about. Surprise...! This was an action packed bad guys trying to kill me story.
I still rolled with it because this was the woman that wrote Knight! Well... She still wrote with stilted sentences and the hero and heroine still swore like sailors, but she knows how to tell a story! She's not a perfect writer and I'm not sure that I could read back to back books by her because it would get really annoying after a while, but I love the fire she has going on between the hero and heroine. I love the way she shows you their relationship growing to maturity. And her hero's...
This book had lots of drama. I don't think I'll be getting involved with a biker dude anytime soon.(That was some scary crap!) I just can't relate to a heroine who would stay in that lifestyle after what happened to her. This biker dude also had lots of baggage and I was kind of disappointed on the heroine's behalf at first, but you can't help but fall for Tack and all that baggage anyway. He was protective and sweet in his own gruff way. He said the sweetest things to Tyra and I was eating them up just like she was. He also said some pretty nasty things to mix it up a little, lol. The biker lifestyle was fascinating to see. It was fun watching Tyra transforming into a biker babe. It was even more fun watching her little showdown with the hero's ex wife.
I wasn't blown away by this book like I was with Knight, and I wished the hero was a little younger and had a little less baggage, but the book worked in it's own way. BTW, what's with KA not letting the readers in on what the heroine looked like until the book was almost over? That was pure frustration!
Am I gonna read more KA?... Heck yea, stilted sentences and all! Can I wait for Shy and Tab's story?... Can't. Wait!!

Great escapist reading! Interesting story line, compelling characters and lots of fun. Although it was the last book in the series I read this one first, it did make me go back and read the others in order. The other books in the series were good too, but I enjoyed this one by far the most! Can't recommend it enough!

A sweet love story about a man that wants to be loved by a good woman. A good woman that wants the perfect man, "the one". I could totally identify with her dreams. She found out that the perfect one could come in the most unusal places and look the total opposite of what she would think that it should be.

It's no secret that I love Kristen Ashley's stories. I always know when I pick up one of her books that I'm in for a great read and will finish the book with a big smile on my face.....even though somewhere along the way she always manages to reduce me to tears!.
Well, Motorcycle Man is not exception. Actually for me, this book totally exceeded all expectations. I loved it....a LOT! A definite 5 star read for me.
I have to be honest and say that I loved Tack in Mystery Man but I didn't LOVE him, if you get what I mean. I was way too into Hawk to let anything distract me so whilst I was hanging out for another KA book, I wasn't so much hanging out for Tack as I know a lot of people were.
What can I say??! Apart from the first few pages when I thought he was a total dick (I couldn't even dislike him then though) I soon found I LOVED him!
The emotion and chemistry between Tyra and Tack just leapt off the pages - I felt everything these two went through and thought the emphasis on family/blood was so well portrayed.
I commented to a friend that this was like my very own raunchier version of Sons of Anarchy (which I'm a diehard fan of) brought to life in the pages of a book.
I won't do a synopsis or dissect the book because others do that and do it so well.
I can only speak from the heart about how a book makes me feel and this one ticked all the boxes for me.
What can I say about Tack......how can you not fall for this tough, yet sweet, tattooed, alpha, hot bikie?? Channelling Jax Teller here and wow, the image is pretty good!
The epilogue...oh god, the epilogue was just amazing. I do believe Kristen Ashley is the queen of epilogues and this one is no exception.
The surprise at then end about what is in store had me seriously squeeing BIG TIME! and I cannot wait for more!
Sensational read from and amazing author.

Motorcycle Man - Kristen Ashley!!!
OMGawd.... What an butthole Tack is... I really really tried to warm up to him... even when he was being sweet... you just knew the butthole would catch up and rear it's evil head!!! Or hole if you would!!!!
Tyra... hmmm.. what to say about her... I guess it doesn't say much about a woman who gets turned on by that crass talk... I know at first, she was pissed at it... but it grew on her and she took it as everyday talk... Biker dude or not... that crap has got to go... She did impress me with her fighting capabilities!!!
KA... I love you with all of my heart... and I still LOVE Motorcycle Man... but damn girl, did you have to make Tack such a douche at times??? I don't know... for me it was about a 3.5 Star book... but if Tack could have shut his dirty mouth sometimes... I probably could have up'd it 4.5 Stars...
I was super excited to see Lee Nighingale show up from the Rock Chick series... mmmm the head of the "hot bunch"!! Yum... also, glad to know that even though this series ends with Motorcycle Man that it kinda continues with The Chaos series AND starting with Tab and Shy's book... mmmm hmmmm, that's gonna be a good one!!!
All is all... was good... but the fowl mouth Tack (for me) needed his face slapped a couple dozen times!!!

I was concerned that I wouldn't like this as much as her other books because I was a little disappointed with Law Man. However, I LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK. I knew I would love Tack. I really liked Tyra. I was sad knowing that this would be the last book for this series. Then she lets us know that Tabby is going to get her book. Awesome!
Also, Kristen - Thanks for the brief moment of Sadie and Hector (Hispanic Hottie) - Their book in the Rock Chick Series was one of my favorites (I'm reread it multiple times).

This is a fantastic book about a fascinating swoon-a-licious alpha male. I really loved reading Kane "Tack" Allen's story. I believe Ms Ashley saved the best story for last(even though I like all of the Dream Man series). I also really liked Tyra, she was really smart and, most impressive, was her ability to give as good as she got in the face of Tack's domineering attitudes. This is the best series by the author IMHO!

I have been waiting for Tack's story since he was first introduced into the series. He is everything you think he will be-arrogant, bossy, tough, sexy. But there is a new layer we see in this story-he has a sense of humor and laughs as much as he barks out orders.
The reason I had to give this story four stars instead of five is because of Tyra, the heroine. I actually could not stand for the first have of the book. Yes, Tack is hard to get along with and I probably would have shot him within the first fifteen minutes of meeting him, but she is just so whinny about everything. She doesn't have any type of backbone and just keeps running away and changing her mind every five minutes. Luckily, about half way through the book, she does a complete 180 but it is a bit disorientating at first. All of a sudden, I started to like her and it made the story so much better.
I cried, laughed out loud, got a bit hot under the collar after some of the very naughty sex scenes, and was sad when the story ended and it said this was the last in the Dream Men series. I highly recommend this book and if I could, I would it 4.5 stars because the ending was just so perfect.

MOTORCYCLE MAN by Kristen Ashley.
I recently read a depressing book. At the end I needed some emotional fulfillment and picked this. Boy did it deliver. This is what Kristen Ashley does. I wouldn't want to read all of her books together. But periodically, interspersed among other books is best for me. The hero is soooo dedicated to the heroine. He loves her, he makes her a priority, he protects her, he gives her everything, he listens and guesses her every need, he gives her attention, he wants only her, he is faithful. He gives her two O's for every one of his, and he is soooo hot, handsome, sexy, always turned on for her, and very alpha. He's the leader of the motorcycle pack.
Some of the conflicts were typical romance novel things, but I was ok with that. The heroine Tyra falls for Tack right away and is hurt when she sees him with another woman. But that's before they were an item. Other things happen as she has doubts about their relationship and makes assumptions, but they were reasonable. There were other plot conflicts from the ex-wife, the daughter, and the Russian mafia. There was a little suspense but not fully developed. For example, we don't see how a kidnaping happens, or what is said and done during the captivity. We don't see fears and emotions during the bad guy scenes. But that's ok, that's not why you read this.
This is the 4th book in the Dream Man series (motorcycle guys). This can be read as a stand-alone.
Motorcycle Speak: Tack does not use verbs. For example "You. Door. Now." A few times he used verbs but no nouns. A couple times I had trouble understanding what Tack was saying. For example, putting the word "If" at the beginning of the following sentence would have made it clearer "You call Mitzi and share, you answer to me." But I liked motorcycle speak. It added feel - texture. It would be less fun if he spoke like a TV anchor man.
DATA:
Narrative mode: 1st person Tyra (plus a short section toward the end doing 1st person with other characters). Kindle count length: 6,684 (606 KB). Swearing language: strong including religious swear words. Sexual language: strong. Number of sex scenes: 17 (some of these were brief or referred to rather than shown). Setting: current day Colorado. Copyright: 2012. Genre: contemporary romance, motorcycle.

First time reading Kirsten Aslhley. I read the reviews and I have to agree with the lower stars. Just too much bad words. every page there is an F work. The plot of the story is okay but Tack really is an stereotypical alpha male but it comes across as very cliche and unbelievable. It could have been written better with more believable characters. It did have it's good parts mixed with bad so I gave it a 3 star rating.

I enjoyed this one. I did. Even though after all is said and done I gave it two stars. It's more like 2.5, but I just can't give it a three because that implies I overlooked the character issues. Which I couldn't.
I liked how Tyra and Tack's relationship started off hot and heavy and ended full stop and had to build back up over time. Complete with (Small spoiler) Tack having sex with a different woman the very next day after he first sleeps with Tyra. I also like how KA took her time revealing their motivations and how they see their relationship which at times don't jive at all.
Tyra was a fun sassy woman and Tack was an alphahole like you'd expect from KA but it's tempered by his love for his family and Tyra so you forgive him most of his transgressions. Like you do with a KA novel.
I really liked the portrayal of how difficult it is to come into a family with an ex-wife and two teenagers and attempt to navigate all that AND just your relationship with your man, which by itself isn't that easy since they aren't on the same page for most of their relationship. Not totally off book from each other, but either Tyra or Tack is always two steps ahead of the other keeping their relationship bumpy throughout the book.
KA really gets family dynamics and her characters are deep and nuanced.
The only real hiccup I felt the book had was the scene where Tyra walks in on someone from the MC cheating on his old lady, which in biker terms is more than a girlfriend and less than a wife. And I had a real problem with that for one reason and one reason only. Not that I don't understand that biker clubs work like that, because I do. But I didn't like it because about 60 seconds after Tyra saw the cheating, Tack just coincidentally called her for no real reason at all and he's the one who sent her into the Clubhouse to retrieve something from his room in the first place.
And since Tack only took about 2.5 seconds to figure out what Tyra was upset about, it kind of, sort of, felt like maybe he SENT her into that clubhouse to catch Hop in the act of screwing the brunette that Tack himself had screwed the day after he had slept with Tyra for the first time. Maybe so Tack could illustrate for Tyra exactly what a woman's place is in Chaos. Because he immediately forbids Tyra from telling the guy's old lady and says that the brotherhood he's got going on with his men trumps the sisterhood she feels toward the old lady.
It honestly felt like a carefully constructed lesson by Tack. Because Tack is described numerous times as 'sharp as a Tack.' He doesn't miss much. Ever. And it's not like him to forget exactly where Hop was and what (who) Hop was doing right at that moment. And the fact that he 'suddenly' remembered after he sent Tyra there, and she was standing just a few feet away from the ongoing tryst, felt....off. Even Tyra thinks to herself that Tack obviously knows where Hop is and what he's doing and she never once says, "Why did you send me in there when you knew I would see that?"
Tack would not call all his boys to roll out, be told that Hop was "busy" and couldn't go and then call Tyra to say she needed to go to the clubhouse five minutes later, totally forgetting Hop and BeeBee were in there.
The only thing Tack actually seemed upset about was that after Hop and BeeBee finished up. Hop left Tyra and BeeBee alone together at the compound, thus creating a situation for BeeBee to get up in Tyra's face with no one to look out for Tyra.
I really doubt KA meant for this to be some kind of Machiavellian scheme by Tack, but then again based on what we know about his character, Tack just wouldn't have forgotten that Hop and BeeBee were getting it on in the exact place he was sending Tyra. Tack is constantly telling Tyra that he's running a game on her. From the very beginning of the book he says he's making her play his game. So maybe he did send her there on purpose to catch Hop to teach her a lesson about MC life, or Tack was acting out of character forgetting that he was told just two seconds ago that Hop was in the clubhouse screwing BeeBee.
Either way, writing misstep.
And then there's this really awkward scene wherein Hop the cheater asks to speak with Tyra and all he says is, "I'm sorry I left you alone for BeeBee to be mean to you ," and then subtly lets her know that Tack talks about how Tyra is in bed with the other brothers. It's an odd scene because for how pissed off Tyra was about walking in on the cheating, she doesn't seem to even remember that she's mad. And it's just not like Tyra. I expected some kind of a verbal smackdown wherein Tyra tells Hop, "Look I know what you're doing. And I promised Tack I wouldn't tell your old lady, but that doesn't mean you get to be my friend anymore so you can just pretend you don't see me from now on." But she doesn't do that. She just doesn't do anything at all. And it's so out of character considering she's gone off on so many other people at that point that it made the whole moment awkward.
And the weird comment that Hop makes letting her know Tack is telling people about their sexual relationship kind of felt like Hop was putting Tyra in her place. Like he was saying, "I'm not gonna apologize for cheating on my old lady, who is your friend, and oh by the way you're pretty much only here so you can screw the boss and I know that because he tells us all about it. Toodles."
That scene just needed to GO. That whole plotline needed to go. It was just too awkward. Bee Bee could have confronted Tyra without being caught being the Other Woman to another couple. Tyra was still hurt that Tack screwed BeeBee the day after he slept with her so the whole showdown in the parking lot would have worked without the awkward cheating that made both Tack and Tyra act completely out of character.
That plotline only existed so Tyra would wonder if Tack was going to cheat on her and he was supposed to reassure her that he wasn't. And that could have been accomplished just by having BeeBee stop Tyra in the parking lot and saying, "He's gonna call me soon to get some. Just let me know if you want in on that." Tyra would have still asked Tack about it.
I did like the novel. Truly. I laughed, I cried. It felt real and engaging and I really enjoyed it.
Update: After sitting on this review for half a day and thinking it over, I've gone back and taken a star away. Because the more I thought about it there was another aspect I just didn't like. And the first part of this has to do with writing style. I don't know if it's a good idea to be 'meta' in a novel, that is, compare the relationship of the MC's to other types of relationships. Almost like the author had jotted down some notes about the tone of the book and then went ahead and added this commentary to the story. There's a section where Tyra has a conversation with herself in which she says she does not want to turn into one of those women who gives up everything of herself to fit into her man's world while he gives up nothing. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd then Tyra does just that.
What did Tack give up? Nothing. They live in his house. He's the leader of a biker gang. She works for him. She's not allowed to tweak any of his 'rules' for his club like telling old ladies when their men cheat on them. Because let's look at that for a second. Tyra says it's none of her business. Really? Because the Tyra in the beginning of the book, if she'd found out Elliot was cheating on Lanie, SHE TOTALLY WOULD HAVE TOLD LANIE. Scratch that, Tyra would have donned some shades and a baseball cap and followed Elliot around and VIDEOED the affair and emailed it to Lanie. But now that Tyra's personality has been transplanted with Tack's, it's none of her business.
Even at the end of the novel where people close to her have died and she herself was attacked multiple times, Tyra's all for Tack's son joining Chaos. Say what? Why? Is there a Chaos law that says he can't work at Ride unless he's Chaos? It's Tack's freaking shop. If his kid wants to work there without joining the club he should be able to make that happen. Even thought MC is trying to go legit, they're still getting blowback from all those years they WEREN'T legit and why would you want your kid involved in that? Especially when you yourself nearly died over it? I can't really bring myself to blame Elliot for that. Because if Elliot had gone to a library and asked a librarian to kill a mobster, the mob wouldn't have kidnapped the librarian's girlfriend. It's disingenuous to imply that Tack's past has nothing to do with what happens to Tyra when it clearly does.
Tyra changed completely from the beginning of the novel. She went from a classy, sassy, funny woman to a foul mouthed, fist flying, biker wench. I mean it's cool to be foul mouthed. Lord knows I am. It's cool to throw down. God help me, I do. But Tyra's not any of those things or at least she wasn't in the beginning of the novel. Characters should always grow and change but when they are just morphing into clones of their partners, it's not really growing, is it?
And KA's message here seems to be that you can't be a classy, sassy, funny woman and still be a worthy character. Because this is the second book (Sweet Dreams) where the female gets transformed to a biker babe. Granted, Tyra takes it farther than Lauren, what with the throwing down and the language. But all KA's women seem to morph and twist themselves to fit into their man's world. Ironically all except Anya who is the most submissive with the most Dominant man of all. Anya stayed true to herself through the whole novel.
I also remembered that semi-offensive part at the end where Tyra tells us she's just going to go get Lanie and kick her butt into dating someone else after losing Elliot. Like what Tyra and Tack have is so much better than what Lanie had with Elliot just because Tack is better at being a bad guy than Elliot. Elliot did everything that Tack has done in his life and let me tell you, if a year from now Tack is murdered, you can be certain that Tyra isn't just going to throw off that black veil and start dating someone else. No way. She would mourn for years, which is Tyra's way of saying her relationship is better than Lanie's. It's also cold hearted and disrespectful.
KA has this whole spiel in "Wild Man" about you don't know what's going on inside a relationship unless you're one of the two people IN that relationship and then she promptly forgets that in "Motorcycle Man" because Tyra, who has not bothered to even speak to Lanie to check up on her throughout the whole novel, has used her new-found old lady status to decree that Elliot was unworthy of love and Lanie must rejoin the dating ranks soon.
To sum up: Tyra lost her soft spot. And she lost my support along with it.
I still have a lot of KA catching up to do, but I'm hoping for a few books where the heroine doesn't just become a stepford wife of the leading man.

Boring, if I heard the word "honey" one more time I would have thrown my kindle. I don't need to hear about his goatee repeatedly. Seriously the story could have been done in half the amount of space. I don't get the great reviews. Forced myself to finish the book and still wish I would have stopped at the first page!

I think the story would have just as effective if Tack could speak in complete sentences. It was distracting, annoying and difficult to follow the story line and responses to Red. I had to re-read sentences several times to get the jest of what the author was trying to convey. It was a good story, although I felt Red had to give up her identity to be with Tack. He could have at least given her support as an equal in the house. This isn't real life in fantasy land, it would have been ok to make an exception to the 'biker rule'. Every time she was strong, Tack put her down. He bordered on being an abusive arse.
Not a huge fan if this is how the author treats her female heros of the story. Bikers or not, woman can be a strong base to the community. I know this for a fact. If my man treated me this way, general or not, he'd be out on his butt, I don't care how cute his abs are. You don't have to kicks someone on the ground to get respect of the community either. I will not, repeat, not be a repeat customer. end of. I couldn't relate and I'm a part of it!!

If you actually try and read this book it really really helps if you have exactly zero knowledge about motorcycles and the people who ride them. I think the research for this book required lube but didn't use engine oil.

Ok I tried to give it a shot. I couldn't even finish the book. Should've listened to the review I read by Jessie because she had it right. I am an ol' lady and I have conversations with my ol' man and I do not have to say his name every other word or I might get on his nerves lol. What's with the one word conversations that made the characters look like complete idiots. I thought that maybe jessies' review might of been a little bit exaggerated, that will teach me next time because I thought with all the good reviews as well it might be good. Everyone said to try KA and I am sad to say I won't be getting anymore of her books and start listening more to the one star reviews in the future. Honestly there is no way she got all those five stars reviews without a little help. She also writes in the first person and really I love third person view books way better. Now I have to be honest I am loving the reapers series even though she writes in first person and I prefer the third but I honestly don't know why everyone recommends KA. Ok lol I tried to read a few more pages and still couldn't continue lol. Oh and I don't know if you'll read this stephanie graves but I do love in Colorado and no not everyone is hate especially in Denver lol that would be so awesome though if they were all omg hawt I would actually love going to Denver if that was true but as it is I try to avoid Denver lol.

I dont go for the promotion of acceptance of abusive behaviour and if the author had ever been part of an abusive relationship she wouldnt think it so romantic either. A terrible book encouraging young women to think abuse is ok as long as the guy is hot and he has good 'reasons'

I couldn't get past the fifth chapter. The Hero is repulsive, annoying, rude and has a reasoning that is most related to selfishness than to a diligent way of life. To sum up, a silly heroine and a coarse hero, there's no argument to support so much hero's lack of sensibility and the self destructive way of living of the heroine.
Maybe this book gets better as they go, however, I won't be one to read them and tell you. My apologies.

I regret buying this book. It could have been a cute story but I found it absolutely absurd.
The lines were constantly repeated over and over to a point that I couldn't stand it any more. There was no substance to the story and I found it ridiculous all around. I quit reading after the second chapter.

I was really disappointed by this book. I thought I was really going to like it because there were so many 4 and 5 star reviews. I couldn't even finish it. I hated the way the hero talked and I hated how bossy he was. I hated that the heroine continually let him walk all over him and constantly acted as his doormat. It was annoying. I don't usually mind guys who are a little bossy but this was too much for me. I'm sorry I wasted my money.

This was such a let down.
I love MC books and Tyra & Tacks story was soooo lame I just couldn't ruin my MC love affair on this garbage, so I chose to call it quits about 40-45%
I honestly think 99% of anything that came out of Tyra's mouth was
"Tack-"
OMG was that annoying.
For ever page half of it was repeated crap,
Most of the book it went something like this....
I liked it, I liked that I liked it, and for that I liked it very much,
"Yeah, I liked it too"
"You get me, you gotta get me, you get me"
"Yeah I get you, but Tack-"
"Babe"!
"Tack, let me go, Tack"
"Babe"!
"Tack-"
"You get me now, Red?"
"Yeah, Tack, I got you, but I don't want to get you, but I get you, you get me!"
"Yeah. Red! I get you, you get me"

This had good reviews, so I figured I'd give it a try.
I...do not understand people.
I kept reading (even though, for the story it told, the book was WAY too long) because I was fairly amused at how terrible it was.
I've read worse. The writing itself wasn't horrible, but the characters were ridiculous. Everyone in this book is OHMIGOD HAWT. (Really, the only person described as NOT hot is the ex-wife, who's referred to as the b-word.) Either Denver is some magical place only filled with beautiful people, or my willing suspension of disbelief just broke.
Time is kept in weird ways. "This was the Wednesday after the Friday," etc. Awk-ward.
The sex--which I am guessing is what people are reading this for--is NOT sexy. Maybe that's because it's not really sexy when a dude forces himself on a woman, won't let her go, refuses her insistence to be let go, and THEN it becomes a sex scene?
There are so many consent red flags here. It's appalling. Tack, the 'hero' of the story, is a 'bada** biker guy' who repeatedly holds Tyra down, won't let her go, wraps his hand around her neck repeatedly (don't EVEN care if he 'explains' this one later, it's still a load of crap), pins her to walls, yanks her around by the wrist, all the while telling her that that's the way he is and she's gonna have to like it. He calls her his 'b-word' (gah, the store and its regulations) repeatedly, refers to all women as b-words, tells her what to do and refuses to listen when Tyra tries to tell him that's not what she wants.
Sorry. Not sexy.
That is abusive, plain and simple.
And it's pretty disgusting.
And also kind of hilarious, in a 'this is supposed to pass for sexy alpha male?' sort of way, like a giant trainwreck that you can't look away from because you can't believe it's happening.
"Love" is not something that makes abuse okay. It just isn't. And it's not appealing. The way this is written, it makes me worry that books like this normalize abusive behavior.
Not cool.
So very not cool.

Motorcycle Man (The Dream Man Series Book 4)
Motorcycle Man (Dream Man, #4) by Kristen Ashley
Adult Erotic Action/Suspense Contemporary Romance
5 TSR*
I have been anticipating reading Tack's story since I read the first book in this series. It was SO worth the wait.
Superbly written. Constant action. Fast paced. Nail-biting thriller.
The complexities of both Tyra and Tack's personalities are extremely well-defined. You easily get into both their heads. How they clash and how they compliment each other is perfectly conveyed throughout. Their 'misunderstandings' actually make sense to the reader and don't feel like they are thrown in willy-nilly.
Heating everything up is the ongoing issues with the Russian mob. That situation becomes explosive and hair-raising. It had me sitting on the edge of my seat, devouring every word.
Absolutely, hands-down, awesome ride with the Motorcycle Man!

Motorcycle Man was my most favourite of this entire series which just seemed to get better with each book. The characters Hawk, Brock and Mitch make a stunning and incredible force to be reckoned with when Tack needs their help. Tyra of all the women in this series to me has the greatest sacrifice and personal trauma for the love of Tack. You knew going in it was going to take a special woman for Tack and she out of all the women was my absolute favourite.
The way Tyra loves Tack's kids especially Tabitha and when she goes all Momma Bear angry on her boyfriend was one of my favourite parts. This section also cemented Tack and his extreme love for this woman when fallout happens.
Tack colours Tyra's world. Throughout this book Tack shows this woman how to live by the words of Chaos. Motorcycle Man takes you on a fast ride, plenty of characters return from the Dream Man books and we are given light moments inbetween the heavy MC club darkness.
I had tears in my eyes for Tyra - she is a fighter and that is why she is with Tack - they are perfect together.
There is a spin off series to the Motorcycle Man - Tabitha, Rush and Hop have a story to tell and I for one are going on that ride.

I really don't like giving bad reviews but this 1 just can't be helped. So this was my 1st book to read by this author and I was very disappointed in it. I had high hopes for it also as I had heard so many good things about it. I wouldn't necessarily say it was the book all together I think that the author had a good plot for this book. I think a lot of my problems with this book are the writing and grammar mistakes.
Sure I could say I really loved Kane "Tack" Allens character in this book. But I think a Huge problem for me was the way she had Kane "Tack" Allen talk in it. Sure I get it, you want him to be this big bad MC leader. But I'm sorry having a guy basically growling in every other sentence just doesn't cut it for me. Plus it seemed like she never let Tack say a sentence that made sense, I had to read between the lines a lot and I mean a lot to understand what he was saying. Tack's sentences seemed very broken to me.
Uhhh what can I say about Tyra? Not sure......
Just overall kinda disappointed and let down with this book and with the characters. Though I will say there were a couple of characters I did really like, like Tack. Also Hawk, Mitch, and Brock and I would love to read their stories but this book was such a let down I think I'm going to have to skip them!!!!

Kane aka "Tack" and Tyra's story was intense, riveting, and-for the most part-a pretty damn good read! For every convoluted excuse Tyra gave Tack about a relationship not working between them, he had a quick and extremely logical reply. Sometimes so logical I found myself cracking up at the simplicity of his answer.
While I get the necessity of some details, I didn't like the repetitive and extremely detailed descriptions of things like clothes or the food (i.e. the sandwich scene between Tack and Tyra in the shop comes to mind). I eventually glossed over those scenes and moved forward to get to the meatier parts of the story.
Ashley has been in my TBR for awhile now and I've tried a few times to read other books in this series with little success. I have no clue what made Tack and Tyra's book so interesting this go around but it just seemed to hit the spot! Over the top domineering male with a hidden softie side-I was surprised by that one-a mouthy, anal-retentive heroine, Russian mafia, crazy family members..this was one wild and memorable ride to add to my library!

While I wouldn't call it an accident sleeping with your boss, it's still not the smartest move. Though to be honest Tyra didn't know he was her boss and Tack didn't know she was his new employee. Thus the beginning of the drama, as Tack has some strict rules about this. Still Tyra needs a job, so his attitude doesn't scare her away and she gives as good as she gets. The woman isn't some meek little lady, still Tack is intimidating as hell.
Tack gives into Tyra, but her going against him only makes her more intriguing. She's a challenge he can't resist and won't back down from. While Tyra has no real clue how to handle this alpha male. Honestly I liked Tack from the previous books, but now that we get a closer look it took me a while to be convinced he's okay. The man is seriously bossy, rude, pushy, stubborn, and his moral compass isn't quite aligned with mine. It seems that these are also some issues Tyra has with him in the beginning, but Tack is a man who is used to getting his way in this case also Tyra.
I believe Tyra could have gone more against him in the beginning. It all moves so fast and he pretty much takes over her life, without her real consent. So while this may not make Tack my kind of guy, I could escape in the fantasy of him. As usual plenty of drama between the main characters, and we again have a crazy ex-wife, some cool kids and a dangerous outside threat that could ruin it all. Since Tack isn't necessarily a law-abiding citizen, he takes matters into his own hands when it comes to protecting those who he cares about.
I was happy to see that Tack got his own story and happily ever after. He's a recurring character in the previous book, and while he might be a bit shady his heart is in the right place and he is capable of doing good things. The fact that he chose Tyra was a bit surprising as she is so very different from him or the women he usually goes for. She's as clean as the come and by choosing her, Tyra inadvertently gets dragged into his trouble. Considering Tack doesn't take threats very well, he's very protective of those around him and will go through extreme lengths to keep them safe. I like that combination of romance and mystery, this always adds more dimension to a story and well you can not call these stories boring.

Revised.
I loved, absolutely loved Sweet Dreams. It was my first book by KA, and it made me hungry for all her books. I cautiously anticipated reading more of her work because usually authors have a great book and the rest are a disappointment. This book is my 5th (6th?) by KA, and with each one I become more and more disappointed. This book was by far the one that disappointed me the most. I don't know if it was the constant speaking in fragments by ALL the men, to the complete extreme personalities of the H/H. Most of her H/H are copycats, just insert name and there you go. The hero...I can only take so much talking in fragments (short, abrupt), being so hot the heroine can't make decisions that are logical (even when he is as much of a-hole as any one person can take). I like tough guys, hot tough guys. I like guys with attitude and in my opinion Tate from Sweet Dreams had the perfect mix of mean and love. This guy is just a jerk...period. I have read books where the antagonist was EXACTLY like this, yet since this is the hero, it's yummy? Do people really believe that (fact or fiction)loving a bad boy is like this? I have been married to the very definition of a bad boy for well over a decade and there is no way the hero treats Tyra would be cool. I wanted to read her books because I (thought) I could relate.
The heroine gets weaker with each page I turned (swiped on my Kindle). She could not handle him very well, so unsure of everything! This is not a HEA by any definition, I could see them being a part of statistic in the future or her being so broken by simply having to constantly deal with his BS. And I swear if I read one more "Oh God", "um", "he's a jerk but he's hot", "okeydoke", "oh boy", "that's annoying" I would scream! (at least I didn't read as many "yeah?'s") It's like she gets a phrase/exclamation (or two) and inserts it every time she wants the heroine to "show" emotion". There was NO chemistry at all, not the chemistry that made the reader (me) believe in the quick get together that felt like they knew each other for years. It's all very forced (pretty much because he says it is) Most of us would run far far away if this guy hit on us (if we cared about self preservation that is) After 5 (6?) of her novels I am throwing in the towel. No more for me by this author, (sucks because Sweet Dreams was very good).

I love this book and I now have my new book boyfriend, absolutely love Tack (Kane), he is so sexy, hot, loving, strong, supportive, straight forward, and protective. Everything the author has coming from his mouth was just right, funny at times, demanding at times, sexy so much of the time, and oh so loving most of the time. I love Red (Tyra), she is feisty, loving, supportive, funny, supportive, and also so protective. I enjoyed how she would put Tack in his place but also be so vulnerable at times. I loved how she took to his kids right away and was super protective of them just like she was protective of her friend Lanie. This book was full of drama and suspense and I was on the edge of my seat at times. I loved learning about Kane's past, where some of his traits and actions came from. I could not believe Naomi, she was a terrible person and so was Bee Bee, I loved how Tack protected Red and how he would not allow others to disrespect her. I loved reading about the camaraderie between the men in the MC and then of course I love how they took to Red once they saw she was all in and was great for Tack. I enjoyed how the characters from the other Dream Man books were involved in this book the only part that was confusing to me was how the Gwen/Tack relationship seemed to be made into more in this book then it even was in the book The Mystery Man. I would have rather them not even brought that weird relationship into this book at all, didn't make sense. I cannot wait to read about Tabby and Shy, I love Tab and can't wait to see how Tack and Red are doing also plus I hope we get to read more about Rush sometime, maybe he will get his own book???

I never get tired of this book, which I've read at least 3 times, if not 4. Reading through the entire Dream Man series again I really found an appreciation for the differences in each of the heroes. It's been said that KA writes the same hero over and over, but one realizes that's not true when you take your time with them.
Tack is a little like Hawk, as he's a major bad ass. He's wild like Brock and sweet like Mitch. But, he's also a man that just lives his life by his own rules and one who colors Tyra's black and white world. He takes the bits and pieces of the other Dream Men and blows them out of the water. There's a reason he's one of KA's most popular heroes.
Motorcycle Man is a great conclusion to this series. As it was the first book in the series I read (I actually read Ride Steady first and started backtracking) I can honestly say it can be read as a standalone, though you will want to read the rest of the series when you're done. Probably over and over over.

Here’s the thing about this book: I liked it a bunch. It had hot, tough, alpha biker men, a decent enough plot, Tack, the main dude, was older and had graying hair, which for whatever reason really did it for me, and the speech was a change from other books where the guys actually just sound like girls talking. I also really dug the overall vibe of it; it did of good job of making me feel like these guys were rough around the edges. Sure, it did kind of feel like it was based on Sons of Anarchy, but that’s what I was looking for so it was a win.
However, it wasn’t without flaws. After a while, and I never thought I’d say this, but I kind of needed some prepositions. By the end of the book, Tack’s constant dropping of pronouns, conjunctions, and preps ended up seeming like plain laziness by the author, and hey, it’s a beast of a long book so I mostly don’t blame her. Here’s a kind of sexified example: “You think, Red, right now, I put my hands and mouth on you in about two minutes you wouldn’t be pantin’ to be flat on your back?” Clearly, words are missing. I get that it’s a style choice, but at a certain point it just becomes distracting.
Another point I’d like to make: I read this book first, not realizing it was a series, and after going back and reading some of the other books in the series, I have to say that most of the guys are extremely similar. If you really like this book, and you probably will, you’ll enjoy the others in the series if you’re fine with, as I mentioned earlier, the absence of some traditionally used conjunctions, as well as very overused phrases, such as “show me your sweet,” which is high on the cheesiness scale. I was willing to accept it for one book, but it’s overused in them all, and honestly, I had to stop reading them. It just gets less sincere and interesting as time goes on.

After my dear friend Kat telling me repeatedly how good Kristen Ashely and her men were I finally succumbed and started with Motorcycle Man. Now I’m not one to read out of order, but Tack seemed to be the favourite so I had to go there. I will say, for someone with reading order OCD, I coped really well. Other couples are mentioned but not enough that I felt there was major spoilers. If anything it just made me want to read their stories too.
What can I say about my very first KA experience? It was eye opening, entertaining and perhaps just a little bit frustrating at times. I’ve read a few biker books in the past but not of a great amount. It took me a while to adjust to Tack and his ways. By the end of the book, I’m almost sure I had stopped flinching whenever the word bitch was used as a term of endearment. For a newbie like me, it took some getting used to.
Tack is a red blooded male and likes his bed warmed by a pretty female each night. It happened to be Tyra’s lucky night, and even though it was a drunken one night thing, Tyra felt a spark between them, something more. Of course, her bubble is burst when she discovers who her new boss is. None other than her MC man Tack.
Tack’s immediate reaction is to get rid of Tyra but he doesn’t count on her standing up for herself and her resistance is a turn on for Tack. That is when their game of cat and mouse really begins.
There were times when Tack was all out Alpha and making demands of Tyra. Some of the things he was saying should have bothered me. But I was kinda in the moment and letting Tack work his magic, the feminist in me packed up for the day and I was all for Tack. He was demanding and stubborn, yet it worked for him.
“You don’t even know my name,” I retorted. “Nope, and I didn’t before when you sucked my c***, I ate you, you f***** me hard and I f***** you harder. Didn’t bother you then.”
“I’m Chaos?” “Was my d*** just in you?” I fought an annoyed growl and said, “Uh… yeah.” “Then you’re Chaos.”
“You are Chaos now. I am Chaos. You think you got the option but you don’t. There is no goin’ back. I’ve claimed you.”
I will say Kristen Ashley’s writing took me a while to get used to. I felt there were a lot of repetitive phrases and sometimes it cropped up in the same sentence, it would pull me out of the story and I would find myself rereading paragraphs trying to take it in.
“Is the name on your birth certificate Brick?” I asked a question I was pretty sure I knew the answer to. “No,” he gave me the answer I was pretty sure I knew."
With those hiccups aside I was able to enjoy the story. Tack and Tyra moved at a fast pace, but then I think that’s what happens when you are claimed by Chaos. There was one pivotal scene where I was glad Tyra stood up for herself and didn’t tolerate Tack’s behaviour but when he explained his actions, I kinda melted and he can feel my pulse anytime.
For all Tack was demanding and wanted Tyra to be a certain way, they did have their sweet moments and those helped win me over.
“I like everything about you, honey. Everything. Lived in black and white seems like all my life. Never noticed. Not until you colored my world.”
The thing I liked most about this book was the age of the characters, it was a welcomed break from new adults and their melodrama. I liked that Tack was older and he had grown-up children. It was great to see Tyra interacting with them and offering them support. I liked reading about a more mature couple and the sex was just as hot, they could give the young ones a run for their money ;-)
My last point to mention is Holy Epilogue Batman, for someone who has become a lover of the happily ever after, Kristen Ashley totally spoils us with a bumper edition. We catch up with Tack and Tyra but also their friends and how their future turned out. The very last sentence put a huge smile on my face. I am all for super sized epis.
If you are a newbie to Kristen Ashley like me, or perhaps you are a firm fan already, you must read Motorcycle Man for yourself and let Tack win you over like he did me. ~Ava

Kristen Ashley is my "dream" author when it comes to contemporary action romance! Wow! What a ride! Bad boy, sexy bikers; hot-shot, law enforcers and other commando heroes; spunky heroines who know just how to stand-up to their men and drive them wild; and crazy roller coaster, dangerously explosive action scenes; the Dream Man series has it all! And if you haven't yet had a chance to read all of the prior books; don't worry, while there is some character building over the prior novels, these books can pretty much be read as stand-alones, as all the prior interrelationships and necessary background material is well explained. All that said, once you listen to one, you will undoubtedly want to listen to them all, and, if so, they are best listened to in chronological order.
Tyra Masters, tired of a co-worker's back-stabbing ways, completely uproots her life and up and walks away from her job to start all over. After a couple of months of looking, she lands a job at Ride, a high-end car and motorcycle shop owned by the Chaos Motorcycle Club. The night before she is supposed to start her new job as Ride's office manager, she attends a Chaos MC party and ends up having the night of her life with Kane "Tack" Allen the MC's President. While she immediately thinks she has met her "dream man," Tack quickly shatters that dream when he promptly proceeds to kick her out of his bed the minute he achieves his "happy ending." As if that wasn't bad enough, to add insult to injury, the next morning, Tyra finds Tack getting it on with one of the MC's girls.
Still, Tyra needs her new job, as she has a mortgage to pay, so she walks in ready to assume her new role. As soon as her new boss sees who she is, however, he instantly fires her before she can even begin. He doesn't mix work with pleasure. But Tyra is no push-over, and she responds to Tack's rejection by mouthing off and showing attitude. No one stands-up to Tack, so his curiosity is piqued by her "mouth", and he offers Tyra an ultimatum: she can have the job, but no more sex, or walk-away and wait for his call for the next time he's in the mood for someone like her. That's an easy one for Tyra: she takes the job.
As Tyra continues to show Tack her spirit, he finds that, in the case of Tyra, he's more than happy to mix sex with work. Tyra, however, is not as easily convinced now that she has seen Tack's biker bad boy side. Not too mention that life in the Chaos MC is unlike anything she has ever known and requires following rules--some of which she really doesn't like, and she doesn't hesitate to give Tack lip about it. Then there's Tack's crazy ex-wife who is hell bent on taking her job and making her life generally miserable.
Amidst this love drama, Tyra finds out that her best friend is engaged to a man who has double-crossed the Russian mob. Tack immediately claims Tyra and rushes in to protect her. Still, the MC is having it's own drama, and the Russian mob is a dangerous group to cross. To protect Tyra, Tack has to call in all his markers, thus providing a segue for appearances by all of the prior Dream Man cast of characters.
Kate Russell delivers a great performance. With such a large cast of characters, it's incredible that she was able to create believable, distinguishable voices for each. Moreover, so many of them are so darn entertaining. Perhaps my favorite being Elvira, who works for Mystery Man Gabe Delgado and loves getting together with the female posse of female heroines when they get together for their girl dates. You can always count on Elvira to deliver an unending, hilarious amount of sass, much to the chagrin of a number of the characters, particularly the alpha dream man heroes.
Additionally, as I listened to Mystery Man, the first book in the Dream Man series, I can honestly say that Ms. Russell does a great job of maintaining consistent voices for the cast. Such that the first time you hear some of the characters, you already know who's talking without having to rely on dialogue tags.
One criticism that I have heard about Ms. Russell's narration relates to her depiction of Tack. Tack is described as having a gravelly voice. While Ms. Russell's sounds a little more hoarse than gravelly, and definitely has a very distinctive quality, it worked for me. I loved that I was easily able to distinguish Tack from all the other heroes and thought she did a great job conveying his bad boy ways but nonetheless deep-hearted dedication to his "woman", kids and MC brothers.
I can't say enough good things about this book! Ms. Ashley's way with words is beyond compare. I adored so many of the witty dialogues between Tack and Tyra which were always filled with such deep-seated meaning. Perhaps my favorite is when Tyra explains Tack's effect on her by saying that she had always viewed life in black and white--but thanks to Tack's insistence that she really live free and start enjoying life--he has "colored her world." Hard to believe that a tattooed, muscular, bad boy biker could be one of the most romantic heroes of all time!

This is the story of Kane “Tack” Allen and Tyra Masters. I'll remember this couple as the best and as the funniest in the series, it was so good to read about. They were perfect!
Tyra believes she’s met her Dream Man but Tack lives in a different world, she is disappointed right after hooking up. She's smart and genuine, sassy and sweet, but takes no crap for anybody to be happy. And she's trying for so long to find the one, to have her dream come true...
I believed Tack. I believed as Tyra was learning his ways, that his heart was in the right place, yes he was intimidating but he was really into her, loved his kids, his brothers and knowing her issues, the only thing he wants now is to make her happy!
Tack showed Tyra how to see color through black and white.
The ending was amazing, the final conclusion. I'm sad it's over... It was so good to see all the characters from the series together, they all helped each other out, this was amazing!
Just something I was expecting, didn't happened, that was Tack's mind when Tyra was in danger. I really would like to know what he was thinking... We see it through some other eyes...
I'll miss these dream men!

This was such a fantastic story. I think Tack might be my new favorite biker!
In the beginning Tack was such a jerk but as the story goes on he’s just so incredibly sweet and caring, a make-my-heart-melt kind of guy! Of course he’s a gruff, bossy, and controlling hot biker but oh-so-sweet! I liked Tyra’s feistiness but will admit at the beginning she annoyed me. By the end I loved her almost as much as I loved Tack. They had such animosity towards one another at the start but watching their story unfold and them open up and truly connect was awesome.
Both Tack and Tyra gave as good as they got and sometimes that was intense, extremely hot (hello sexy times!), and other times highly entertaining. They were just so great together even with the arguing. I loved it! That being said, some of the back and forth with Tack and Tyra got a bit repetitive but after the main bickering was over, all was well.
There was a variety of drama throughout that kept things interesting and there was a good build to the main drama at the end. Towards the end it switched to multiple POVs (the rest was Tyra’s POV) and I *loved* how that was done. A nice way to mix it up that I wasn’t expecting.
I loved Tacks kids and all his biker brothers. Characters from previous Dream Man books were there and they were integrated and introduced nicely which was good since I hadn’t read any of those stories. I really enjoyed the women that became Tyra’s friends as well. There was a scene in a bar and I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. This was just a great, full story.
I am a sucker for an epilogue and I thought this one was freaking fantastic! All loose ends were tied up and I read most of it with a silly grin plastered on my face because it made me happy.
If you like bikers, drama, sexy times, and great characters then I definitely recommend this story. This was my first Kristen Ashley book and I am now definitely a fan!

Alright, so I loved the storyline. This book was talked up to me and I was told it was a great read, and it was. I enjoyed it. Tyra and Tack have a weird relationship, but it seams to work for them, it's very much so a getting-to-know-you through the first few weeks, but it's also back and forth.
I was told I was probably going to hate Tack's "jerky ways" for the beginning of the book, but I didn't. I saw the way he was and his personality was clear to me, I was more frustrated with Tyra, but I also understood her side as well.
My issue with this book and why I've rated it semi-low is MY own pet peeve: repetition. There were only so many times I could handle seeing the same description for four things. That and as much as I loved Tyra and Tack's roller coaster love, there were times where I was wondering why they weren't communicating with each other.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and definitely invite you to come to your own conclusions.

Book Review- Motorcycle Man by Kristen Ashley
Tyra has jumped off the roller coaster which was her life and decided she needed a new direction. She quit her job and found another one. Her new job is the position of office manager at Ride, a motorcycle and custom car shop. The weekend before she starts, she attends a party held by the bikers that run the shop. She sets eyes on Tack, the leader of the Chaos Motorcycle Club. He fits the bill of her dream man and he is it as far as she is concerned. They hook up that night and the next morning he asked her to leave her number as he left the room. He basically kicked her out of his bed without a backwards glance or a kiss good bye. She was shocked and hurt. Apparently he wasn’t what she thought. In fact Monday morning as she arrived for her first day, she sees Tack kissing his latest conquest good bye. Tyra is beyond angry and if she didn’t need the job she tell him what she thought of him. Tack was not happy to see her and told her she couldn’t work for him. She went toe to toe with him and won back her job but the game between them had begun. He is determined to get her back into his bed. Tyra is determined to never have it happen again. He is a complete jerk.
Tyra is introduced to the life of a motorcycle club. The longer she works there the more she is pulled into that life and Tack’s life. She becomes a target for his ex-wife and the Russian Mob. She was tired of her black and white life and wanted color. Be careful what you wish for.
I love the books that this author writes. This is the third one that I have read. I intend to read them all. It is fascinating to see how the author creates and conveys the biker life of the Chaos Club.
I liked Tyra’s character and how she struggled to fit into the world that Tack lived in. Her big heart attracts Tack and gives him patience when she freaks out. The story humanizes bikers for me. I always thought of them as scary. I find their loyalty and way of life extremely interesting. I really like the community that the author developed, the issues that the club faced and the family problems that became apparent. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Tyra Masters is stuck in her ways, not really living life. When she decides to change that, she leaves behind the things that make her unhappy. One of which is her job. After being jobless for a while, Tyra answers an ad for an office manager gig at a custom bike shop owned by Chaos Motorcycle Club. To celebrate, Tyra goes to a party thrown by the MC and does something she’s never done before—she has a pretty hot one night stand with a motorcycle man. Who, Tyra believes, is her dream man.
Until he kicks her out of his bed and, the next day, she realizes he’s also her new boss. Kane ‘Tack’ Allen is not just rough around the edges but rough all over. He doesn't mince words or pretty things up. He doesn't need to. As the president, it’s his way or the highway. And one of his rules is that he doesn’t sleep with his employees. But when he tries to fire Tyra, she isn’t willing to give in.
Tack has no problem bringing out Tyra’s sassy, fiery side. Which isn’t so surprising considering how crass the man can be. Then he has to go and bring out his soft and sweet side, proving he’s definitely the kind of man who could drive a woman crazy. But not as crazy as what he can do to her in bed. Holy moly. How can you not be set on fire by Tack? Combine that foul mouth of his with his generosity between the sheets and, yeah, he’s one irresistible, bad ass motorcycle man.
But even though I can understand the madness Tack causes a lady to feel, Tyra’s penchant for bailing on him and their relationship was a bit annoying. Every single time things got tough, there she goes threatening to walk away. It took away from her character some, who I would’ve otherwise described as caring, devoted, and strong. She is all of those things but she’s also a bit fickle.
Motorcycle Man will give you a serious case of alpha overload. Ladies, you will get more than your daily dose of testosterone-laden man candy. And it’s so good that you can't help but devour it. So many people have described Kristen Ashley’s writing as crack and they’re right. Her hero’s are absolutely addictive.

This is one of my go to books, I've lost count of how many times I've actually read this. When I really started to get into reading again (after a break when my children were young and I just didn't get time to read) Kristen Ashley was my favourite author her books were just so much more than anything I'd previously come across. The problem is I can't remember the last time I wasn't disappointed in one of her books to the extent where I've given up on her new stuff completely, but enough moaning back to the book.
This is a fabulous book with some great characters Tack being one of my favourite all time alpha males.
Tyra has made some life changes, she's left her job and started afresh which is why she finds herself at Ride, The Chaos MC and the man of her dreams. She's spent her adult life looking for her dream man and she'll settle for nothing less it's one promise she made to herself a long long time ago and now she's found him, Kane "Tack" Allen. Their eyes meet over a sea of people, they drink tequila and head to his room and it's all good. It's better than good, it's perfect. Tyra is basking in the glow of knowing she's found her man and her future, until he opens his mouth.
“Babe, you awake?”......
“I’m awake,”.....
“Time to get to your own bed, darlin’.”.....
“Leave your number and close the door on your way out, would you, Red?”
To say Tack's not happy when he discovers Tyra's his new office manager is an understatement, he fires her on the spot but Tyra needs the job and Tack learns there's a whole lot more to the woman in front of him than he originally thought.
I've read 3 of the 4 books in this series (not really sure why but Brock's book never really appealed to me) and the characters we loved from them are back along with a whole host of sexy bikers and a story that keeps you reading, along with lots of hot sex. Who could ask for more?

Long review on its way. This is an EPIC culmination to the Dream Man series. I kind of ended my review of the previous book, Law Man, with these words: I swear this author knows deep and writes deep. This is so true. I don't know what it is that makes her stand out, and I don't know how she manages―time and again―to shred me with her stories, but it obviously has something to do with what I've said. It’s because she manages to take real life situations she’s experienced either personally or with family and friends (it’s no secret as she’s mentioned this before), and add these to her characters making them amazing stories. They aren’t always pretty, and they aren’t always hilarious, but one thing I can promise you is that no matter the circumstances or the background, she will pull you out of the dark tunnel and through to the other side where the sun shines brighter than you’ve probably ever witnessed. Truth be told, I’m always a wreck when I read a KA book, mainly because of all the emotions she manages to wrench from me throughout the storie's entirety. Most importantly, though, however sad I am when I’ve reached the end, I’m just as elated that I got my HEA. Always. As a bonus, Kristen Ashley’s epilogues are to die for. No one rivals her in this department as far as I’m concerned.
We met Tack (Kane Allen) right at the beginning of this series. He’s the one who took an interest in Gwen when she stormed into Ride wanting to sort out her sister’s problems. He was hilarious then, and I knew, just knew, that when it got to his book it would blow everything out the water. It did, and then some. Tack’s the one who called her Peaches, and the one who inevitably lost out to Hawk (Cabe Delgado). Still, they stayed close. Throughout the series, he’s made an appearance in every book, exactly what we―as readers―always want, and look forward to. So, it was about time he got his own woman. And boy, he so got what he (thought) he didn’t want, but had secretly wanted all his life. Men also have dream women in mind. He met his match in a manner he’d never dreamt he would. Epic! I’ll probably say this word a lot throughout this review.
Now, with all that said, when I started Motorcycle Man, it was with the giddiness of a two-year-old. And then, boy, I felt like Tack personally slapped me, hard, across the face. My explanation is a given and I’ll get to it shortly.
The book starts off with Tyra, who is invited to a party by Eloise who told her she needed to become a member of the ‘family. Tyra had applied for a job, Eloise’s job to be precise, as the woman was leaving for Vegas. This party was all biker dudes and their ‘old lady’s’, and so not her scene at all. She went regardless. This is where she met the man of her dreams, her motorcycle man. He wasn’t what she thought she’d end up with, but there she was nonetheless after he’d walked up to her, shared tequila shots and an hour later he took her hand and led her to the club’s compound room. Several hours later, after many satisfying moments, she’s in heaven. He’s the one. Tyra is shocked, feels stupid, is embarrassed but mostly hurt when Tack slaps her arse and says, “Time to get your own bed, darlin’.” To make matters worse, he deals this blow: “Leave your number and close the door on your way out, would you, Red?” Then he was gone. OMW. I wanted to die right along with Tyra. Seriously! He pissed me off majorly right at this juncture and let me tell you, this is was only the prologue!
Mother of all surprises, a whole day after she’d slept with Tack, she’s standing on Chaos ground (they own a garage and supply stores, fix cars and bikes etc.) to start learning the job from Eloise as office manager, of which she only has two days in which to do this. Her boss, president of the Chaos Motorcycle Club, is none other than Tack. She knew this, though. Tack? Apparently he wasn't clued in. He’s named this by the way, as he is as sharp as a Tack. Stemmed from when he was a kid and stuck. Anyway, she’s early and is standing outside the doors when she sees Tack practically eating some other women’s mouth. Once he's done, he saunters up to her and wants to know what the heck she’s doing there. Now, she’s thinking she told him she would be his new office manager, as well as telling him her name. Anyway, after much back and forth where he tells her no way in hell is she working there, she gives it back as good as she gets and says she is. According to him he doesn’t work with women he’s banged (I’m saying it mildly). She suggests they forget what happened and move on. Much goes on here, and she eventually stays. Because Eloise only had two days to show her the ropes, they weren't near enough for her to learn anything substantial (it doesn't help she knows zip about cars or bikes) and she continuously stuffs up every order. Quite hilarious.
From here on in, Tack warns her that he will have her again, and that (arrogant much?) she will want it. I must say that he picks on everything regarding Tyra whom he calls, Red, including her code of dress. She’s all woman like, sexy skirts, blouses and high heels; not fit for a garage, but she gives a stuff.
Here’s why he totally made me see red in the beginning, mind you, most times throughout the book, but we come to love him because he has so many layers that are peeled back and we get to know the 'deep' Tack: he turns out to be quite an amazing person. Below, however, growl.
"Yeah, absolutely, we can not talk about this. That works for me. It also works for me you showed since you didn’t leave your number before you took off on Saturday. So give me your number, get your ass in your car and I’ll call you when I got a taste for you.”
Through all their ups and downs, they deal with a lot unwanted crap from not only stuff Tack and his club are aiming to clean up, and the same Russian mob from the previous books, but also from Tack’s ex-wife, Naomi, who is a freaking b***h of note. I hated her with a passion. But between them, they have two kids, Tabitha and Rush (Cole) whom I loved. So much happens here, no way I can get into it.
Tyra, for me, was an absolutely perfect match for Tack and what lay beneath each made them work beautifully. Trust me. You will cry in this book, more than the others. The tender moments, the heart wrenching moments are beyond anything I could have imagined. He likes her feisty and she can’t handle his sweet. Man oh man. This was an epic story, although darker as Trya comes very close to not making it after the Russian mob get their hands on her, and there was a particular habit Tack had of making. This involved his hand around a certain part on Tyra’s body, one I won’t mention, but when you read why he does this it’s like your body sighs on all on its own. Unexpected and fabulous. I so get it.
The club as a whole is one borne of brotherhood, but comes across more like a family, as should be. They all have each others backs, no questions asked, no judgement. Amazing.
Tack is truly a rough and tumble kind of guy. I thought no one would ever come across as hard or as rough as Knight from the Unfinished Heroes series. I was wrong. Tack takes centre stage, but Tack has something deep down which still makes me choose him above Knight. He comes dipped in mountains of sugar. Much like Creed, Vance and Hector from KA’s previous series I’ve read―Tack is also all that.
The next series I should read after this one is the Colorado Mountain series, but because it’s a completely different series with new characters and none of the ones I’ve come to know make an appearance, I might keep this one aside for a later stage as there are six books to it already, and move right on to the Chaos series, which is a spin off from this one, the Dream Man series, and starts off with Tabitha and Shy’s book. I really want to carry on with their story.
Every character is amazing and so well fleshed out, you end up believing these people really exist, but I say this not only pertaining to this series. I’m talking about all the books I’ve read so far by this author. Also, much like me, you will be very hard pressed to quote but only one or two things. I’ve never read books where I’d ever want to quote the whole book just so readers can see how amazing they are. Alas, it’s all I can do… just to give you a little glimpse of the awesomeness that exists between these pages. Here’s a taste of Tack’s deepness. The movie she made him watch was The Color Purple.
"That movie you made me watch, first time at your house. Love and redemption. You said, ‘the most beautiful stories ever told are the most difficult to take’. You said that, Red. Right out. And I knew if you got that, when it was later and I shared my s*** with you, you’d get me. I never thought my story was beautiful. I thought it was s***. But you said that and when you did, I saw it. The ride is not over but if I can keep my Club together and find a sweet, feisty woman who’s got my back and enough to her that she’ll stay there, holding me up not dragging me down, I figure I’d find my way to beauty eventually. And I’d find absolution because I’d know, I earned the love of that woman, a woman who’s got so much to her it’ll take years to dig down and find the heart of her, that would be my reward.”
And this was his sweet.
"That how you like it?”
“That’s always been my dream.”
“You didn’t settle for a man until you found the one you wanted, you keep settlin’ for nothin’ less, baby.”
I think it’s time I shut my mind down as I could add plenty to this review, but will end off by saying that once you dip your toe in the Kristen Ashley pool of deep-hearted and absolutely amazing stories, you will never want to come out. Her stories are addictive. This author―along with her stories―pulls you in so deep it's like being addicted to something bad, except that in this case it's all good.
It's safe to say that she’s my drug of choice.
EPIC!

Book 4 in the Dream Man series follows Chaos club president, Tack, I've so been looking forward to his story. Loved Tyra, love her heart and love the fact that she doesn't let Tack walk all over her, even though she loved him from the get go. Tack being Tack and a bad a@# biker, is not the easiest of men to get along with, he maybe a giver in the bedroom, but otherwise it's his way or the highway, so there are lots of sparks flying. It's not too long before we find out that they are the perfect couple, and I fell well and truly under Tack's spell. Either way. This is a rollercoaster ride of a story - kidnapping, shootings, Russian mafia, ex wives and much more. We also get to keep up with the rest of the Dream Men and their women. I certainly hope this isn't the last we've heard of the Dream Men. I want more.

First of all, Kristen Ashley is going to get me pregnant...it's all her fault. After I read all her books, it is a must that I go jump my husband. Maybe, I should sue her...just sayin!
That being said, I actually liked Tack because he was not the usual romance novel character. I mean...he wasn't charming, he wasn't a gentleman, and he lacked tact as well as chivalry. I think that worked seeing as how good girls tend to gravitate towards bad boys. I don't know if it's just because the sex is better and rougher, the power they have over others, their overall look is sexier, or if it's the danger associated with being around them. I think that any heterosexual woman could appreciate some of the aspects of "Tack's" character. I mean...to have a man that's deliciously handsome, cooks like pro, loves his children fiercely, loyal to his friends, overprotective as a rattlesnake....AND CAN GIVE YOU MULTIPLE ORGASMS IN THE SAME NIGHT. I would most certainly think I had died and gone to heaven. There definitely were scenes in this book that were sizzling hott, and who would expect anything less. I think that Tyra/Red was a worthy leading lady for the book. I also thought that Tabby and Rush were the cutest teenagers. I thought the drama in certain spots was very realistic. The drama with Naomi was really real, and whether people want to admit it or not, we have all known someone dealing with that crazy ex/baby mama drama. Perhaps, not to her extreme, or perhaps worse, but I definitely have known women like Naomi in my lifetime.
Furthermore, I love how are of her characters are intertwined, and at some point they all cross paths with each other. That takes some cohesive, brilliant, writing skills to accomplish that. That said, I am faithfully in love with Hawk Delgado, so in all honesty, he is my favorite of the series. Hawk had his moments, but he was a good guy with a temper which was sexy. However, Tack spoke without a filter most of the time, and there were times when I couldn't understand how Red could find anything sexy about a man who's mouth was that nasty, but then he would turn right back around with something extremely sexy to make me change my tune. Needless to say, he was not the romantic type, and there were times when his brutal honesty was not appreciated. This book may be offensive to some because the F-BOMB is dropped incessantly, so that may not be your thing. The writing does get repetitive in some spots as well. There were many times when I asked myself if a teenager wrote this stuff because some of the lingo was very immature. I got tired of reading about how Tack was this scary bad@ss biker dude with this kick@ss goatee." Everything was HOT, HAWT, bad@ass,kick@ss, or the s*** Who talks like that? Seriously! No one talks like that.
On another note, I can see where her male characters are all pretty similar. I don't disagree with that because I couldn't help but notice that Mitch Lawson is another version of Hank Nightingale, and both of them are spin-offs of Chace Keaton. Just like Tate Jackson is another Sampson Cooper from "Heaven and Hell" (which was not in a series, by the way) with a few changes made. Tack Allen is also similar to Tate Jackson. Raiden Miller is mixture of Tate Jackson, Sampson Cooper, and Hawk Delgado. Knight Sebring is another version of Tack Allen and Parker "Shy" Cage. Hawk Delgado is just another mixture of Lee Nightingale, Eddie and Hector Chavez, and Lorenzo "Ren" Zano. The same could be said about Ty Walker from this series being another spin-off of Sampson Cooper as well. Luke Stark reminded me of Jacob Decker. My point? As a faithful K.A. fan I really don't care because her stories rock, either way. I love how all her characters are intertwined and at some point they all cross paths during her stories. That takes some cohesive, brilliant, writing skills to accomplish that.
Don't get me wrong, this book did keep my attention. It killed a lot of the downtime I had, so If that's what you're trying to accomplish then give this a try, but if you want a solid love story with an average hero and heroine that will give you butterflies. This is not for you!

I am now officially a total Kristen Ashely fan-girl. This is the first full-length novel I have read by her, though I have heard nothing but good things about her work. I can say from experience now that Kristen Ashley totally rocks.
Motorcycle Man is hot and hard - hard men, hard language, hard sex, all wrapped up in a kick-a** story that will keep you on the edge of your seat and ready for more. After a night of partying at the Chaos Motor Club Tyra Masters finds herself in the bed of Tack Allen, who takes her to heaven and then drops her on her butt. On top of that, when she reports for her job the next day, she finds that not only does she see Tack Allen again, but he is also her boss. Suddenly, she finds her carefully planned out life completely out of control and boy is she in for a helluva ride.
“Life's a roller coaster. Best damn ride in the park. You don't close your eyes, hold on and wait for it to be over, babe. You keep your eyes open, lift your hands straight up in the air and enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.”
I love bad boys and Tack Allen is probably one of the baddest of bad boys. In fact, I would probably be scared to death of him and would just have to drool from a distance. He seems to have met his match, or as close as one can be in Tyra Masters, because she dishes out as much as she takes, and though they are from different worlds, Tack and Tyra have one of those connections that come along once in a lifetime. They come from two totally different worlds and both adapt and go through a lot as they acclimate to one another and everything that Tack's world entails, and his world entails a lot. The biker breed is kind of like a whole different species with their own rules and their own code that they live by and that they die by. Despite his hard and scary persona, Tack is a good guy at heart, something that Tyra finds worth it all. One of my favorite things she talked about was how Tack caused her to realize that she had been living her life in black and white and she didn't even know it, and since she met him, she now lived her life in color. Tack and Tyra's conversations with each other, and Tyra's conversations with herself in her head made me smile, swoon, want to cry, sometimes all at once.
I loved the secondary characters as well, all of them, well except for Naomi of course. They all have unique personalities and add so much to the story. I'm looking forward to catching up on this series, and also the Chaos series, which is a spin-off from this.
Overall, I loved Motorcycle Man and I couldn't put it down - drama, suspense, romance, action, and all kinds of biker dude hotness....you can't go wrong with this story.

“We've hit the hot guy motherlode.”
This is the second book by Kristen Ashley I have been lucky enough to read and once again the story was fantastic. Not only does the book scorch the pages but there is enough drama to keep you on your toes. Or in my case, staying up until 5 am to finish the book.
I loved Tack. I love bikers, thanks SOA. Tack is the epitome of controlled, ruthless, temperamental, loving and caring. I loved to see the difference in Tack the Biker, Tack the Jerk, Tack the Father and Tack the Lover. His personality had many faces and his character was written beautifully. The reader is able to feel his emotions right along with him, that is how well he was written.
“Baby,” his voice gentled, “this is me seein’ to that soft spot when I say quiet-like that I... will... be... there... in ten. And what I mean is, when I get there in ten, your ass better be there.”
Oh boy.
“Are you coming on your bike?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m in a tight, short, little aquamarine dress with high heels. I can’t get on a bike.
“You’re in a tight, short dress and high heels?” Tack asked.
“Yes.”
“I’ll be in there in five.”
Tyra was another one that I adored. The perfect compliment to Tack. She was sugar, spice and everything nice. It takes a very strong female character to roll with the punches like she did, and I love the strong heroines in my books. She wasn't opposed to telling Tack to screw off and how to get there. I loved how sweet she was to Tack's kids, even when she was uncomfortable in the situation. I even loved when she tried to kick the crap out of his ex-wife, it was perfect.
“Truth, honesty, perseverance, strength, love of all kinds and forgiveness are all beautiful, Tack. The most beautiful stories ever told are the most difficult to take.”
I think Tack and Tyra's story will remain one of my favorites. Not just in the Dream Man Series, but period. I loved everything about the two of them. It was obvious from the very beginning the love was there and it was great watching these two characters work it out from there! There were two sides to the same coin, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going to come out of Tack's mouth next.

Kane “Tack” Allen has a rule. He doesn’t employ someone he’s slept with. And he lets Tyra know that in his motorcycle man way. Tyra fights for her job and wins it using sass and a technicality. Tack challenges her that if she hits his bed one more time, she loses her job.
Tyra is determined to keep her job and keep away from Tack. But she makes a big mistake. During their head-to-heads, she lets it all hang out and shows Tack she is who he’s looking for. And Tack has had a good woman slip through his fingers, he’s not about to let that happen again.
Although Tack colors Tyra’s world with a vibrancy that’s blinding, being with him means she has to live in his Motorcycle Club world. Full on, no holds barred. And since Tack’s world, not to mention Tack, is a little scary, Tyra isn’t so sure.
It's Tack's job to convince her.
MY REVIEW:
Seeing as I read this entire series backwards, and started with Chaos series, I was thrilled to see how these two finally came to be. It was a great story that was gripping, had tons of suspense, and a whole lot of sexiness to boot.
I loved Tyra’s smart ass mouth in the story and I am a true believer in a strong woman putting a man in his place when he gets out of hand. This story held all of that, and more. It was engaging, you were in the character’s heads so you understood why there were making some decisions that otherwise might be questioned, and you genuinely felt the love for the characters, for each other, and from the reader.
You want a book that will knock your socks off six ways to Sunday? Then pick this one up now. I loved it so much, I just had to get the rest of the series! I wasn’t disappointed!

Normally at this point I start telling you all about this book in some detail. Well this book I am not because there is just too much. I am going to tell you about the two main characters and their personalities. Just know there is Sex, Love, Family, Friendship, Loyalty, Blood, and Brotherhood.
This story reminds me a lot of the Beauty and the Beast. Not that Kane “Tack” Allen is ugly at all, the exact opposite.
It’s just in the fact that from the minute he encounters. Tyra Sidney Masters (Red) his and her lives change forever.
They have a way of bringing a sense of calm to each other minds and worlds. They for each other wants to be and make it a better place, time and safer. It was really love at first sight once they got out of their own way.
They really get off on the over the top sexually charged bantering until Lanie’s boyfriend puts them at risk and makes them both see how easy it or they can be taken away. So, Tack stopped talking (ordering) and listened to Red really listened to Red.
Then it is a funny matter of crazy antics of this couples life trying to figure out “Bad Biker Dude” meets “Beauty.” Two different worlds coming together but love is there even though no one has said the words yet. How they melt his friends and kids, head on as a couple. Seeing Red hold it together when things go down at the compound that she is not use to and Tack explains it not as “Biker Dude” but as Kane, just a man who loves her.
He is so Alpha Male to the point of being scary. I found myself tensing up during the time I was reading most of this book. I had to make myself relax. This has to be how it is in a biker club, if not, and this is sugar coated then Thank God. Red learning, “Live Life. Do not delay. Ever.”
So, change your black and white to color. Maybe not as much as Red.
I totally enjoy these characters and this series. This is the 3rd or 4th book I have read and I love it. The characters just pop off the pages.

ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This story is about Tyra. She is feisty, smart, sassy fashionista. She knows what she wants and is very strong and determined. Tyra is looking for a change in her life, something new. At the beginning of her search, she finds Tack.
Tack is a badass biker and is also her new boss. He does not play. He is the bomb and I think he is fine as sin. He is on my list of hot MC’s. Yummy.
Tyra makes a defining decision to bed her boss one night, prior to him learning he is her boss, LOL.
Tack enjoys women and he really enjoyed Tyra in his bed, but he has a rule, he does not work with people he sleeps with. It gets complicated and dramatic and Tack does not do complicated.
Kristen did it to me again with Motorcycle Man. She leads me on an emotional rollercoaster that physically had me taking breaks from this book.
I loved to hate Tack and then I LOVED Tack. I wanted Tyra to be strong and she was.
The love in this book is not a fairytale it is a true romance. It is gritty, hard, and has time to develop.
For the story line, it was more than sex, though that was written quite beautifully. The story promoted growth and acceptance.
But the sex, oh my, it was fab.
Tack took lead and gave her what she needed, in the bed and out.
The love in this story is hard, dangerous, and strong, just like the men in Ashley’s books want it. There were so many characters and their development and introductions are important, so do not put them to the wayside.
This is the third book I have read by Ms. Ashley. She is a phenomenal writer. She draws me in and gets my emotions all over the place.
This is a great book. I have learned from my reading that I love Motorcycle Clubs, Alpha Men, and the kind of man that knows his way around a woman’s mind and body.
This book is a stand-alone.
Happy reading!

Motorcycle Man (Dream Man #4)
by Kristen Ashley
When Tyra Masters meets a hot and sexy biker (Kane " Tack" Allen ) he plies her with Tequila and gives her the best sex of her life then to tell her to get out of his the bed the next morning she is quite upset, Tyra thought she had met the man of her dreams. Starting her new job at Ride she discovers that Tack is her new boss and refuses to have anyone he has slept with working for him! Tyra fights to keep her job by giving him as good as she gets.
I loved Tack and all his motorcycle men, he is a straight talking take no sh*t kind of guy, he swears constantly and treats his friends and woman right. I feel that Tyra develops as a character in the book she has to slightly change (for the better) to fit in with his lifestyle she also starts seeing things in colour instead of black and white. Tacks kids are pretty cool too and I would love to read their stories if they were ever written. Fantastic chemistry between all the characters and very well written story with plenty of drama in it. I loved it so much that I am still thinking of the characters a day later.
After reading this book I want to know what rock I have been hiding under that I haven't read this book before now?! The few books I have read by Kristen Ashley have blown me away this woman is a genius! This is book 4 in the series but I have read it as a stand alone and still loved it and didn't feel like I had missed anything by not reading the first 3 books before this one. I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future and she is becoming one of my favourite authors.

This book is part of the amazing Dream Man series by this very talented author and definitely not to be missed. Sure to delight her existing fans and guaranteed to enthrall new readers as well. If an alpha male is what you are searching for then you need looking further!
Tyra needs a job and lucky for her she's found one in the office at the local motorbike garage but unluckily she has just recently had the most amazing night of her life with the owner Tack. Tack does not employ women he has sex with and there is no way Tyra is going to be working at his place right? Wrong! Tyra is the most stubborn woman Tack has ever encountered and she's determined to keep her job no matter what! Problem is she really wants to hook up with Tack again and again but that's not going to happen .
Tacks world is unlike anything Tyra has ever encountered but she's is determined to make whatever this thing is between them work. Confused by Tack at every turn Tyra finds herself more involved with this scary motorcycle man then she could ever have imagined and when things start to get ugly and Tyra's world starts crumbling there's no one else better .
Wow fantastic read just couldn't put it down . I'm English so sometimes some of the things that the characters say is a bit strange to me but that didn't take away from any of the fun in this story. Tack is a very sexy guy who knows what he wants and Tyra is so out of her depth at times. What I loved was the fact that no matter what got thrown at Tyra she stayed steadfast and true. Interesting supporting characters added to the fun and a plot that kept this reader enthralled. An amazing book and not to be missed.

As the fourth and final book in the series, this one met and exceeded expectation even after reading the other stories with fab heroes and heroines. It was only right that Tack finally get his story as the anti-hero who was in on so many rescues throughout the series. I was so curious to know what woman he would end up getting.
The story opens with Tyra being kicked out of Tack's bed after one night and then showing up to her new place of employment, Ride which was owned by the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Tack has a rule that he won't have an employee that he slept with so her appearance for work doesn't go well.
And that starts the beginning of something new with Tyra and Tack. So much goes down between them and then in the life of the motorcycle club, but through it all they have arguments, tender moments, moments of passion and a tentative relationship grows. They are from two different worlds and Tack bluntly explains to Tyra that she is now is part of his world and has to be the one to accept this and change. Tack is blunt and honest sometimes brutally about a lot of things, but he learns really fast that Tyra isn't just going to roll over and just accept all this. Tyra teaches Tack that he'd better take a different tone with her if he expects things out of her.
Tack's life brings Tyra a crazy ex, his two teen children with issues from their mother, an on-going fight with the Russian mob, and his own past that influences him. Tyra takes all this as it comes and is still around in the end which tells Tack that he's finally met his dream woman.
The plot of this one was faster paced than the ones before it. The relationship is more raw, but yet still tender. The recurring series characters were a nice edition on top of meeting the guys in Tack's club. I think I really appreciated how Tyra was written so that she wasn't stuck in her own head much like some of the other heroines have been. Tack hurt her and she might have wanted to withdraw, but she gave as good as she got. The danger element was real and wasn't just some lame plot device so it just made things even more exciting wondering how and when it would touch the characters' lives. The life of the motorcycle club was written well. I liked how it was there to add color, but it wasn't detailed out to the point that it took over the story. The only niggle I really had was that section where the story jumped to several points of view during the crisis moment. It broke up the pace of the story and took me out of the most intense part of the story when in my opinion staying with Tyra or Tack's perspective during this time would have been so much stronger for the plot.
All in all, I really enjoyed this one the best of the whole dream man series.

I received an e-book of Motorcycle Man from NetGalley for an honest review.
I'm late to the game when it comes to this book and Kristen Ashley. I've seen her books, but until I saw a few of my friends and well-trusted bloggers talk about this particular book, I hadn't picked it up yet. Boy am I glad I did!
With the recent insurgence of motorcycle club books, I've can't seem to get enough of them. Kristen only added to my addiction. From the start of this book I was hooked. Kane is a jerk, sure, but he quickly redeems himself. By the time I got to the introduction with his kids, I was already hooked. But his interactions with them, that unexpected caring father side, definitely sealed the deal on my love for Kane. He's a badass biker that I would be oh so happy to spend time with!
Tyra was a little harder for me to really connect with. But once I did, I loved her. She stood up to Kane unlike a lot of other people. She told him what she needed and fought him when he pushed too hard. It was great to see that his kids, while cautious, were open to getting to know Tyra.
There were a couple of tense moments when I thought I might have to throw my Kindle across the room because of the way Kane and/or Tyra reacted. Good news though, it's still in one piece. No broken Kindle! Overall this is a winner in the motorcycle club romance category. I would highly recommend it!

Doing BitterSweet -- 4stars
This was the swansong for the Dream Man series....and I will miss them. Not to be outdone by his predecessors, Kane "Tack" Allen comes across as darker and even less redeemable than the bad boys before him until he becomes the Dream Man for sheltered Tyra Masters. Tyra is very cautious in her moves and plays everything safe until one day she doesn't and finds herself an employee of Ride with an itch for the boss.
Together Tack & Tyra were good but he seemed a bit overbearing even after the good woman cleanse. It was very noticeable that he did bring changes to her life and filled those empty spaces. The subtler touches that Tyra wrought were less clear and definable. This entry seemed to have more sex both the detailed and fade to black styles and Tyra was required to be much more patient than her predecessors (or perhaps it was my personal tastes at work). I think I enjoyed them separate more than I enjoyed them as a couple. I really liked all the other characters and the sub-plots as well. The sub-plots of Lanie & Elliot and with Naomi, Rush & Tab were interesting in themselves and were especially good catalysts to keep the story going in the intended direction. I also liked the layers of Tack and he stayed true to his character throughout the series but even in his own book I thought he was too raw, too arrogant, and much too overbearing for me to appreciate him fully.
Although I was pleased this outing it's my least favorite of the series. That being said, Tack's "redemption" smoothed few of his edges as his arrogance and commanding presence still shine brightly through like a beacon. And I hated (cannot stress this enough) Tack's free reference of bitches to describe women. I also thought Tyra lost Tyra when she accepted Tack. While I was able to wave goodbye to "friends" from this universe with minimal tears, I wished Elvira had found her own dream man. I also very much appreciated the nod to Rock Chick series. Last thought, the nod to each dream man by their book title was cheesy and amusing.

Mandi, you are an evil woman! When Mandi from Smexybooks gifted me with a copy of this book to read, I was a little hesitant in reading it. I read Knight awhile back -- even though I was told not to start with it -- so I wasn't sure what to expect with Motorcycle Man. She told me that I would really enjoy this one, so I caved and read it over the weekend. I am still trying to figure out if Mandi is evil or genius.
First, I want to point out that Tack is not a nice man. Oh no. He is an arrogant, rough, and sexy alphahole as I was told and quickly found out. He is to the point of where you want to grab his jewels, rip them off, shove them down his throat and then suck them back out with your mouth. Oh yeah. You will hate him, but fall for him at the same time. He is possessive, outspoken when it comes to what he wants, and he will not settle for less. He will own you body, heart and soul before you are finished reading this book.
Tyra took a little of warming up before I truly enjoyed her character. I think the best scene with Tyra was when she went after a man who dared messed with Tack's teenage daughter. I cheered and was disappointed when Tack told her to stop. I wanted to read more and wanted her to beat the crap out of that man even more.
I think the only thing that I didn't really like about this book was the Russian Mob part of the plot. I understand that is a big part of the story, but I just couldn't process it as a believable one. Even though I felt that way, I didn't stop reading it. Nope. Kristen Ashley is crack for readers. I will bow down to Mandi and her reviewers for that being spot on. I am not too proud to admit that they were right and I was wrong. I was never a motorcycle club type of girl before, but I am starting to see the appeal to those rough and rowdy men!

OMG Tyra Masters meets Kane "Tack" Allen at a party, they hook up and he kicks her out of bed. She thought she was in love with him. Two days later she is arriving at the compound, He is president of Chaos and she is the new office manager for their repair shop. Tyra and Tack have a battle of wits through out most of the book. He seems to love how she challenges him, she loves him but isn't sure about what is expected. They are hot and cold and he is two older teen age kids but they love Tyra right away. It is Sweet, Sexy, Romantic and Harsh all in one fabulous book Loved it. Heck since I read the series out of order- going back to read Own the Wind for Tabby and Shy's story again.

I am pretty disappointed. I shouldn't be, because KA is always hit or miss for me. But this book was one that almost all of my GR friends have raved about. And Tack was the main reason for the praise.
But let me tell you, Tack did not do it for me. He turned me off from the beginning and I never could get on board with him. I get that KA writes alphas. I like alphas. But hers are always the same. They never speak in complete sentences. 'Babe' is apparently a statement that needs to be repeated constantly and as if its a full thought. And they pretty much don't take no or 'get away from me' as an answer. Now, I'm not hating on all of her guys because some have been swoon worthy. But I feel like its always a mixed bag... I never know what I'm in for. Tack's tendency to completely ignore Tyra's many pleas to stay away or back off really turned me off. And her tendency to just finally give up frustrated me.
And while I'm just laying it all out there, I must express my utter disdain for her 'heroes' discussing the exes and former lovers to their heroines. I really don't need to read every guy describe how amazing and wild their exes are in bed. Apparently that's supposed to be a precursor to explaining why they chose those women. They are total b**ches, skanks, etc. but they sure knew how to work it in bed. Umm no thanks. It's enough for me to know that they've slept with that person, I don't need to know how much they enjoyed it.
I was hoping to like this, because I've already read Tabby's book and loved it. However, this was not the book for me and yet again makes me question whether I should keep trying with her contemporaries. And that makes me sad because I hate writing off authors when I know they are capable of so much better.

Tyra and Tack have the hardest book when it come to this series. The others have past drama, but the feelings I felt while reading this, Tacks past, his present and what he has to deal with, it makes my heart sigh. The biggest trees always fall the hardest and that’s how it was for Tack. He deserved his HEA and I really loved the ups and downs the characters have. Can’t do much detail but it really opens up for more in the Chaos series. 4 Stars #2OCCJD

Tyra had a hot night in bed with the motorcycle man of her dreams. Before the after glow dims, he shows her the door. Too bad he will become her boss on monday. Kane "Tack" Allen does not sleep wit employees. He tells Tyra to hit the bricks. Tyra needs this job. Tack can just deal with it, as far as she is concerned. She doesn't plan on spending any more night in Tack's bed so they can pretend it never happened. The longer Tyra works there, the more Tack likes her. It isn't long before he decided to go back on his no employee rule. Tack doesn't come alone. He's the president of Chaos Motorcycle Club, has two teenage kids, and one crazy ex-wife. Taking Tack on means taking on extra baggage.
"The perfect I was looking for wasn't perfection. The perfect I was looking for was the one. And he was you." - Tyra
I really like Tack. I wanted to hit him upside the head with a wrench, but I liked him. Tack is a major alpha male. If you are familiar with Kristen Ashley, this won't surprise you. Alpha males like Tack will walk all over you if you let them. Tyra is no man's doormat. She is not going to let Tack walk in and start dictating every part of her life. He respects that about her. Tack is like no other man Tyra has ever met. He exasperates her but also thrills her. This was my first Kristen Ashley title. I am now the proud owner of many Kirsten Ashley books. My to be read pile overflows.

Oh No! It can't be over already! Kristen Ashley is a BookWhisperer Favorite author. Her talent for create intoxicating stories never cease to amaze me. Tyra and Tack are extraordinary character. For the duration of this series Tack has been loved. From his first encounter with Gwen in book one; readers have rooted for him to find a match. Finally Motorcycle Man offers that match, but it is nothing that I had anticipated. He was ruthless and crude from the start. Never in the past four books have I experienced this compassionless character that was in the first half of this book. As the story unfolds, so do the layers of Tack leaving me yet another incredibly wonderful man. I loved the character development that allows readers to see every action and expression to in a new light as the story progresses. On the opposite side of that coin was a very unique Tyra. After meeting three different woman in each novel this one had the biggest variation. It was difficult to predict her character, but I believe that she was perfect for Tack's character. She is strong, dependent, and intriguing. Motorcycle Man was a bit darker than the first three installments, and Tyra was perfect for a dangerous storyline. As she grows in the personally, and within the club I loved the fellowship and power that it adds to the story. The inner working of this club is a world so unique from the remainder of the series making it easy to see an unveiling of direction for a future series. I can not wait to jump deeper in the Chaos world, and see where On The Wind will take us yet again. Kirsten Ashley is superb author. There is never enough to say about the stories and worlds that see can create. It is one that must be experienced, and readers will love every bit of her journeys. Keep them coming Ashley, we are fans for LIFE!!!!

While I generally liked the storyline, there were major problems. One, everyone spoke exactly the same, and poorly at that. Use some pronouns already! Who talks like that? Maybe one character, but not everyone! And they used all the same figures of speech too.
Also, so much repeated dialog, again, no one talks like that either! Pages of wasted type on dialog like this:
"Babe, you like that?"
"Yeah, I liked that."
"You liked it, babe?"
"Yeah, Tack, I didn't want to, but I did"
"You didn't want to, but you liked it?"
"Yeah, I liked it"
"Me too. Liked it."
"Babe."
"Tack."
And don't get me started on the whole "um" thing. Half the questions were answered with "um" then another and another after it. Yikes!
I am sad to say that the Choas series that comes after this is even worse. They talk like a bunch of high Neanderthals.
I really wanted to like this book, or even some of the others in the series. I kinda liked the premise, but the writer and the editor really need to put their heads together and think about how people actually speak. It was annoying! I had to overlook and skip over a lot of this just to read the story. No interest in the others now that I did a sneak peek at the others and know they are also the same.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I was already a Kristen Ashley fan, but I'm even more of one now. I was first introduced to Tack, Tyra, Tabby and Rush in "Every Year" the novella featured in "A Christmas To Remember". I installed loved the whole crew and my only complaint with the novella was that it was too short and there wasn't enough focus on Chaos MC as a whole. I definitely didn't have either of those complaints with Motorcycle Man. The book seemed incredibly long, but in this case that's far from a complaint.
The book was great start to finish and I loved Tack, Tyra, and Rush even more in this book than in "Every Year". Tabby I liked a little less, just because as a teenager she's still growing up, testing boundaries and doing stupid things. Motorcycle Man is one of those books that you want to keep reading to see what happens next, but you don' want the book to end because you're enjoying it so much. That fact makes it a huge plus that it was a longer book. There was plenty of detail and lots of action. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series and all the other books that involve the Chaos Motorcycle Club.

I loved every freaking second of it. It was just perfect. Been waiting a while for Tack's story since he first growled onto the page in Mystery Man and it's definitely been worth the wait.
He's everything an Ashley Alpha should be - he's arrogant, rude, domineering, bossy and impossibly HOT! I was appalled with the way he behaved to Tyra after their first night together but I knew he would redeem himself.
What I love about a Kristen Ashley hero is that they may be complete commitmentphobes but, somehow, they know when they fall in love, when they have something special, they claim that woman and they go all out to let the world know that she is their's and to protect her. It gives me the warm and fuzzies. I don't care how un-PC that is, I just love it.
Tyra is a great heroine - she's honest, sweet, vulnerable yet also tough as nails and nothing will hold her back from protecting and defending the people she cares about. Tack is more of the same and then some.
I also loved the whole badass biker MC vibe, the Brotherhood - I'm so glad that there's going to be a new series revolving around Chaos. Bring it on. I loved their tattoos and their sweet touching moments. It was all good.
BUT - KA you have raised the bar exponentially here. Tack is going to be a veryhard act to follow.

Motorcycle Man is the fourth and last book in the Dream Man Series. Finally we get Tacks story he has been one of my favorite characters throughout the entire series so I am happy to have his story. Tyra is a good lead character she stands up to the people around her but she can adapt to different situations. She has insecurities and I love that because it makes her more realistic. Tack is a big bad hot motorcycle man he knows what he wants and doesn't put up with bullshit, yet he has a soft side that makes him irresistible. Tyra and Tack have a one night stand and while Tyra wanted more Tack kicks her out of the bed. The next morning Tyra starts her new job as Tacks office manager and when she sees him making out with another girl she no longer thinks he is her dream man. Tack doesn't want her to work for him, until she gets in his face and he decides he not only wants her to work for him, but he also wants to keep her. Tack pushes himself into Tyras life and in true Kristen Ashley style drama and danger pops up which threatens everyone. With everything going on Tyra and Tack still have to figure out how to be together and not kill each other in the process. We also get to see the characters from the other books in the series again and there is mention of one of the guys from the Rock Chick Series. I really loved this book, there were parts of it that made me want to knee Tack in the balls, but then he did something sweet and I wanted to marry him. Tyra also made mistakes and I found myself yelling at my phone. As always the secondary characters were entertaining not what I was expecting. The sex scenes are fan yourself worthy and because you could see the characters emotions it made it that much hotter. I loved the book and I am really sad that this will be the last in the series.

I loved Tack.. I loved his in "Mystery Man" but couldn't really remember him, so I had to whip up Mystery man to double check on Tack (again).
I loved Tyra... before her first day of work at a Biker shop, Tyra is invited to a "biker" party... no less than 10 minutes later she is having the best sex of her life with guess who? Her Boss! Eeeeha.. She belives 100% that Tack is the dream man she has been fanatasizing about all her life, not even 5 minutes after he pulls out of her vajay-jay he is kicking her out with "Leave your number and I will call you when it strikes"...Rude? Yes!
The next morning she shows up for her first day at Ride the biker shop when she spots guess who? Tack, walking out a brunette.. so that biatch got to spend the night and get kisses..And this is when it really becomes interesting.. I loved it all, I wasn't too interested in the other snips and pieces of Gwen and Hawk, and all the others but I guess it was a nice little bonus.. I loved Hawk but Tack defin. gave him a run for his money.

None of the reviews stated how much bad language was in this book! The sex scenes were very explicit. The h could never finish a sentence when she was talking to the H and he was telling her what she was going to do. Not my kind of book at all! After I started it and realized how bad it was, I skimmed the rest of the book just to see what happened. I skipped many pages. Do not waste your time.

OMFG!!!!!! Is you are a fan of Sons of Anarchy (which I DEFINITELY am!) then you are going to love, love, love the final book in the Dream Man Series!
I was stoked to find out that Tack was finally getting his own story and this one did not disappoint! After an unbelievable night with the president of Chaos MC Tyra finds herself being kicked out of his bed, and the dismissal really stings. Not only did she this Tack was her dream man, it turns out he's also her boss.
Ms. Ashley wrote Tack to be a serious biker bad ass and all I can say is that I'd be willing to be his Old Lady any day. We get to see Tack's sweet side with Tyra and his kids... His bad ass side with his club and his ex-wife from hell... and his fire breathing dragon side with the Russian Mob.
There is nothing lacking in this story. Suspence, blood, romance, and set-the-sheets-on-fire sex makes Motorcycle Man not only my absolute favorite of the Dream Man Series, but also a total win for any woman who's ever had a bad boy biker fantasy. And I don't know a woman alive who hasn't had that.

This was the third book of Kristen Ashley's that I've read. Though I did enjoy the books in the 'Dream Man' series so far, I don't know if I will start another series of hers. I loved the feisty female leads, and the rough, edgy male leads, and the interesting plots, however the writing was horrible.
For example, in this book, Tack talked in broken three, four worded codes. I could understand if Ashley did this to reflect biker dude dialect, but still, it was quite a headache to read and decipher. Plus, there were repetitiveness that, honestly, could have lessened this novel down to 300 pages. Lastly, she kept miss using the word 'studiously' which was quite annoying.
Through it all, I did enjoy the few books and will continue with this series because Ashley did creat very interesting and sweet characters with great attitudes and I want to see their happy endings. Though... I'm feeling kinda dreadful about it, and dreadful should not be a feeling to be related with reading for pleasure. I don't know if I would suggest this series to other readers because there are better written books worth reading than this.

Let me start off by saying this is the first time I have ever written a review, but just had to vent in hopes that the author reads this. I did listen to the audio version of the book, so my issues I feel are a combination of the writing and the narrator. I have read/listened to my share of bad books, but for some reason this one really got to me. First, I am not African-American, but the stereotyped way this character was written. The dialogue and tone for this character was awful. I could not get through the epilogue because of this (yes I finished the book since I had already started it). Second, I know an Alpha male is supposed to be dominant, but he is not an outright jerk all the time. The H kept telling her how he would never hurt her, respects her, etc. then in the next breathe refers to her and all women as "bitches". What I think is worse is that at the end the h is refering to women as bitches herself. The ending of this book was so rushed that I felt I actually missed a huge chunk of what happened. The h finds herself in a situation that is never discussed how she got there or what happened. Let's just say I was very disappointed. Lastly, dear author, please find new phrases to use. There was so much repitition that I felt I could predict what was going to be said next. I do want to end by saying that the plot was good and the author has promise, but she needs help in building the characters and a thesarus.

I have to say Tack was one of the roughest characters in this series. He went through woman like changing underwear LOL!!
Tyra knew she loved Tack on the first night they had shots and slept together. He was her dream man. But he kicked her out his bed and moved onto the next woman. Men!!
Again a book with kidnappings, break ups and make ups. Who doesn't love to see a hot man on a bike showing his tattoos? Once Tack sunk his claws in and claimed Tyra his that was it, not packing up and moving on for her. It took her a minute to realize this but Tack held strong.
I am glad things turned the way they did at the end. Poor Tyra being kidnapped and then stabbed and seeing Tack go through what he did with his sister just broke my heart. I cried more in this book as well.
I can't wait to move onto the next series. If you have read a Kristen Ashley book you must.

Can I first say Thank GOD I have finally stumbled on a FULL LENGTH NOVEL, without a stupid cliff hanger and having a wonderful complete ending and epilogue, also having a beautiful, funny, suspenseful and HOT plot!! I have no idea why it took me this long to find Kristen Ashley's books but I am soooo glad I did! I was hooked from the very beginning of this novel on Tack! Actually thats a lie because I was hooked on him in Mystery Man! This book completed the Dream Man series and It did not disappoint!! IT was everything i could have hoped for and more, with cameos made by all the key players in the rest of this series that we know and love!! Tack is the badass of all badass bikers. He is hot, mature, & alpha male at its finest right there! His and Red's relationship is phenomenal, the fact he wants her to live and is going to help her do that and the relationship that grows between his kids and her is so great. This book has it all and I could not put it down! This is a must read!! Can't wait to read the books in the Chaos series!!

Wow!! Tack, the badass, macho man, head of a motorcycle club, was hot! Tyra, in true KA fashion, was feisty, smart-mouthed, and funny. The story had depth and I really enjoyed it. The only thing that bothered me was that women were seen as second-rate citizens within the club. That said, Tack was great more often than not with Tyra. He still let her know her place but in private she definitely had the upper hand in a lot of ways. I just couldn't quite stomach that Tyra had to bow to his opinions much of the time. And Tyra did...with an attitude...but she did. Once I accepted the fact that women weren't ever going to be let in to the club in a meaningful way, I was able to enjoy the book. In fact, I reread it and found I liked it more the second time around. I was able to mostly ignore the male domination and really get into the story. And the story had a lot going for it!! Don't miss this KA!! It's a great story with lots of twists and we get to see some of our fav characters from past books.

Of the 4 Dream Man books this is my second fave after Lawman. While I was totally turned off by the premise and not exactly interested in the biker life. I really enjoyed this book. ASHLEY is hands down the most long winded author I have ever read but here dialogue is some of the most witty and descriptive out there. Tack was pretty dreamy once he stopped being a jerk. Tyra was strong, a little flaky but I could look past that cause she gave as good as she got. Good ending to the series.

I gave this book a chance and got through 40% of it. I just got too annoyed with the dialogue, characters, story, everything.
I have no respect for a romance story where it's abusive and disrespectful. Tack is the "Motorcycle Man" who has a one-night fling with Tyra. Tyra wakes up the next morning thinking she's found the man of her dreams, but he basically kicks her out. But wait, her new job is in Tack's garage. Really? From there, the story tries to create an erotic story where Tack and Tyra can't resist each other, but Tack doesn't speak to Tyra with any respect. He constantly cuts her off while she's trying to talk. He holds and grabs her in an abusive way, but she likes it? He takes advantage of her. "No" means "yes" to Tack kind of abuse.
No thanks. Sorry. I thought 40% was even generous. This was my first Kristen Ashley book. From other reviews, if all her books are alike, then this author will not be for me.

This is a GREAT book after one becomes accustomed to the language and it does have sexual content but I love it. Now I read all type of books from teenage to Christian and practically anything in between if it is good reading and this one is in my opinion. Actually I was reading a review of another book by Ms. Ashley and the reader suggested this one as a better read SO I've tried it and will put on my READ AGAIN list. She wrote the dialogue just as they would talk so it may be confusing/irritating to some who like correct punctuation and English. lol. Hey, it's about a motorcycle club and the head man with a regular uptown gal!

I have a thing about the word NO. I like to think of it as a COMPLETE SENTENCE. I hate having to say No over & over or worse having my NO be taken for granted.
Tack "the bulldozer" Allen in this book really rubs me the wrong way. When he & Tyra meet, she falls in love, he doesn't. For him, she is nothing more than a fun one night stand. She ends up being his employee, & he asks her to quit...so he can have her on call when he needs it.
Basically yada yada yada, she says NO, he ignores her & takes her refusal to date him as some kind of messed up challenge. She quits her job several times, Tack of course ignores this over & over again. The part that really got on my nerve was when he INVITES HIMSELF over to her house. She says NO to him coming over for a date & he decides to come over anyway bearing beer & pizza. This man is relentless in his pursuit of her! When did a guy refusing to hear the word NO suddenly become romantic? She says NO, he says forget it, I don't care what she says I care more about what I want. I WANT,I SEE,I TAKE!
Then the whole hand on the throat thing. This got me crazy angry! He always pushes her to the wall & puts his hand on her throat. Presumably because of some story involving his sister or whatever. True, sucks what happened with his sister...BUT STILL when someone tells you "Look, I don't like this, I feel bad when you do this" then respect that! Sometimes life isn't based on what you want you know..sometimes other peoples feelings should be taken into account!
Tyra to me changes the most in this relationship. She has to change her views on infidelity & ignore whatever she's seen at the clubhouse to make Tack happy, she has to give up on personal space & get with the program because Tack never changes. And i'm sorry but their relaionship seemed incidental. He moves from thinking of her as a one night stand to Old lady because she is "sassy"? How? She comes across as a doormat! Every single time she makes a choice about something he bulldozes her & gets what HE WANTS!
I think for me what gets me with Tack's behavior is it shows a lack of respect for Tyra & for women in general. How important he thinks her wishes are. In this case, they are not at all

Ok soo... I love the audible version of this book... the person reading it is really good with voices and it makes you feel like you are right there in the moment with the characters... now... I like Tack... as for Tyra... I found her to be sort of a chicken... she asked way too many questions that should have been obvious. She got mad at the littlest things and often times wanted to end the relationship for something so small and insignificant... she tapped danced on my last nerve!!! the only reason I finished the book is because I liked the drama in the book... but Tyra could be left out of it and replaced with a person that had some balls... like her Aunt... I wouldn't mind reading a story about her.

While I read the first 3/4 of the book, I kept thinking that this is probably my least favorite KA story. I like KA's alpha males, but Tack had my haunches up more than once. Fortunately, the last 1/4 of the book saved the whole story and garnered it a better rating than what I initially would have given it. Not my favorite of the Dream Man series, but still good. Also, KA always has the BEST epilogues and Motorcycle Man's epilogue did not disappoint. It was a nice wrap-up of all the Dream Men coming together with respect for each other.

Amazing!! Kristen Ashley sure saved the best for last in Motorcycle Man! I absolutely loved this story. Every single word!
Tack is ridiculously hot, rude, conceited, bossy, and one domineering man. But... He does have a sweet soft side that can make any girl melt.
"Life's a roller coaster. Best damn ride in the park. You don't close your eyes, hold on and wait for it to be over, babe. You keep your eyes open, lift your hands straight in the air and enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts." Tack
Tyra is my favorite heroine of Kristen Ashley's. Which is no surprise considering this is my favorite book in the Dream Man series. She's tough as s***, caring, sweet, and honest. She doesn't let people walk over her, especially Tack, which I loved.
Kristen's writing flows nicely. There storyline is fast paced, no dragging, and makes you want to keep reading chapter after chapter. I felt this was the longest in the series, but well worth every word and page.
I looking forward to the spinoff series, Chaos!

Like many KA fans I have been waiting for Kane"Tack"Allen's book. I was intrigued by his character right from his appearance in the first book of the Dream Man series. Well this story certainly doesn't disapoint. It's action all the way right from the first page right up to the dramatic ending. Tack is pure Alpha and then some, and in Tyra we have a woman who brings out the best in him. They do get off to a bit of a rocky start, but once we get past that, the relationship builds between them beautifully. I loved all of the secondary characters. Tack's brother bikers at Chaos, his two teenage children, even his crazy ex-wife.
This may be the last in the Dream Man series, but is also gives us the beginning to the next, which is about Chaos the motorcycle club. Starting with Shy and Tack's daughter Tabby. I can hardly wait.
I do have one complaint about this book it wasnt long enough I wanted more. If you have never read anything by Kristen Ashley you are really missing out she is addictive. Highly recommend.

I could not wait to get my hands on some more Tack after meeting him in Mystery Man. He is yum, yum, yum with his badassness!
I absolutely adored Tyra. After a drunken night of fantastic sex, Tyra believes she has finally found her dream man. Well, she believed it until said dream man kicked her right out of his bed without a second thought. Turns out the joke was on Tack though, because the next morning, he finds out that Tyra is his new office manager and she is working there come hell or high water. And that is what kicks off this fantastic book, which just might be one of KA's best. I absolutely fell in love with Tack's kids. I can't wait to read both of theirs later on.
KA is known for giving us an entertaining read with an alpha badass that is full of drama, angst, and a kidnap or two. This one does not disappoint and I highly suggest it. 5 stars!

BY FAR THE BEST BOOK OF THIS SERIES!! Oh how I love you Tack Allen (yes, I know he is a fictional character, sheesh, lol)!
Motorcycle Man is book 4 in the Dream Man series. Our heroine Tyra, is living a slow, plain Jane unfulfilling life. She deicdes to change it up and quits her job to find something more exciting to do. She's looking for her dream man, and she thinks she finds him. A biker catches her eye from the moment she walks in, and she can't stop staring at him. They party together and he takes her home. Next thing she knows she hears "Time to get to your own bed, darlin'." WHAT!!!
Oh, I love this book so much! Remember when we met Tack in book 1? How sweet he was? Well add sweet with 100% bad ass and you get Tack Allen, all man, our motorcycle man. What more can you love!?
I don't want to tell you anymore about this one. I know if you have read the first 3, there is no way you won't read this one. At least this way you can get the full feeling without my influence :) hehe.

The strongest and my favorite of the Dream Man series.
The weaknesses that plague the writing and editing of this author continue in this book. I won't go into detail since I have in my reviews of the earlier three books.
However the thing that puts this book over the top is that never, not once, was I unconvinced of the romance and connection of Tack and Tyra. As a matter of fact, the exact opposite was true. I was totally convinced by them every time I turned the page. And it was all there on the page all the time.
There was some great internal conflict between them. Tack and Tyra meet at a barbecue, drink lots of tequila and have sex. To him she's just a girl he picked up and had sex with. Women like that are put in a certain category so he put her in it. To Tyra, she had just met the man of her dreams. Their differing interpretations of that night get tested right away since Tyra realizes he's her boss at the new job she is just starting the next day. Needless to day they have words. This being a Kristen Ashley book and Tack being a biker in a motorcycle club, those words are not gentle. In fact they are crude. They hurt Tyra's feelings but they also open her eyes.
That initial meeting and the differing interpretation of what it meant to both Tyra and Tack resonate throughout the book and it gets revisited and re-discussed as their relationship builds and they begin to learn about each other. It was gratifying to read on and watch as Tack began to get how much he had initially hurt her and as he subsequently sets about to redeem himself in her eyes.
I liked Tyra because she simply did not take Tack's crap. And he doled it big time. There was this pretty awesome scene that occurs after Tyra rescues Tack's 16-year daughter from her skeevy boyfriend. Afterward Tack is pissed because Tyra didn't call him to take care of it. The scene between the two of them was intense, the argument was harsh and it bordered on a little violent. As I was reading I was very tense and pretty pissed and at one point I even said "Oh, no he didn't!" But the scene felt 100% real, every emotion that came out of it felt totally authentic to these two people. And Tyra's reaction afterward gratified me because she did not allow herself to gloss over what she thought was his disrespect of her place in his home and with his kids. She demanded her due. And later as he explained his side of things and his reactions, it too felt totally plausible. It was a great piece of writing and scene crafting. It is scenes like this and the emotions that it elicits from me that causes me to forget some of the technical issues I have with the book.
Also enjoyed the cameo pop ups of all the other Dream Man couples and of course the ever present Elvira.
Good book.

Over the past few months I have found myself re-reading this book.... Literally over and over again. Originally I reviewed this book as ok and cited a personal issue with how certain characters dealt with the matter of cheating. But having re-read the novel I now understand what the character was truly saying. Anyway I recommend fans of the romance and erotica genres give this book a go. It has made its way on to my top ten list. Just an FYI there are some grammatical and phrasing problems but nothing really major. To clarify without spoiling the book for those who haven't read it I am not saying it will move literary mountains but it is definitely worth reading.. The main character's are well balanced, interesting, and beyond like-able.
