Review:Great new book by Veronica Roth! The story was more about people than actions, which I really appreciated because Akos and Cyra are terrific––he's sweet and sympathetic yet strong and determined, and she's a feisty warrior learning to let people into her life. So good! The world-building is good and the action is strong, but this is definitely an emotion-heavy story. The interactions with the two main characters are what sell it. While there were certain things I could predict, there were some s... Read more
Review:The books are so rich and there is such a connection to the characters. This offers you stories without meaning. It doesn't further define celaena as a character. It doesn't enhance your reading of the books. In this instance I think the mystery behind these stories in the books are better served then revealing them in a depthless novella. Read more
Review:Overall, I liked this book. I really enjoyed the game and the world that Garber created. There was this odd emphasis on colors that was weird to me, but other than that, I genuinely liked it and it's very unique. I loved the eerie carnival/circus feel while also playing up the appeal and awe of just magic in general. You never really know what's real or fake and it walks the line of reality and magic, so I got a kick out of that. I listened to this in audio and was thoroughly engaged and didn't ... Read more

Review:Received a copy. Skye and Cayson continue down the path of discovery in a relationship. We also get more Slade and Trinity. These characters continue to develop with each other and they make you fall for them or you can get frustrated with them as well. However, what is a relationship without a little drama. This is a good continuation. Read more
Review:I received this book as an Advanced Review Copy but I'm voluntarily leaving this review. This is book 4 of the Inked Heart series by Crystal Kaswell. The whole series is excellent. You can tell she puts alot of her heart and soul into all her books but this book I feel is more touching than the others. Chloe and Dean go through some tough breaks but don't worry it's one of those hea books. This is definitely a book I would recommend. It has comedy, romance, drama and some really hot sex scenes. ... Review:Dust of My Wings: Fun read. Premise is that all humans have a bit of the supernatural in them, although the genes are very diluted and every once in a while the genes breed true. Humans and supernatural beings can interbreed. A group of women are friends, they are each other's surrogate family and once a week they meet for drinks in Dante's bar, who considers the women his family and under his protection. One night they are all struck by a strange lightning but no one is electrocuted and the... Read more
Review:I enjoy this series. That said, does this next installment seem like it was incredibly short to anyone else? The content is enjoyable, it just seemed like it was more of a Novella like the Warner and Adam books. I guess I just expected more. Read more
Review:I enjoyed this book, but I have no idea what Tahereh Mafi was trying to accomplish with it. I totally sympathize with Warren, and I want him to get Juliette. I remember how badly I wanted things to work out for Juliette in Adam in Shatter Me, but I don't care anymore. I need Warren to get his girl! Mafi's emotional writing style is back in full force. But I'm sure Juliette's not going to go for Warren who I think is the more interesting choice now. And I want to see her help redeem him. I think ... Read more
