Review:Naked Empire is the eighth novel in the Sword of Truth series, following The Pillars of Creation. In the preceding volume, agents of the Emperor Jagang have convinced two other children of Darken Rahl, Oba and Jennsen, that Richard is trying to kill them and smuggles them out of D'Hara to the Old World. During an assasination attempt by Oba, Richard discovers that his half-brother has no magic of his own and is not directly effected by magic. Jennsen is likewise without magic and indifferent ... Review:This is another amazing book that continues the Infinity Blade series! This book takes place between the second and third game, and does not continue after the first book. The details of the story are gripping and give me such a new perspective on the game world of Infinity Blade. I think this book, as short as it is, deserves 5 stars. Read more
Review:God-Emperor Kairominas in 300 years has mastered everything in his world, well except weather but given another 50 years he’ll conquer that too. Review:This was an excellent set of science fiction short stories from the past. I came back to science fiction after a 40+ year hiatus, and the stories were as wonderful and full of enchantment as I remembered. Review:I waited patiently for Breathe, and it was published while I was on vacation for 2 weeks, so it was kind of impossible to devote my attention to it with a house full of kids and family, but boy oh boy, was it worth the wait. Her books are always full of emotion, REAL emotions, drawn out characters with amazing depth. I can relate to most of her relationship issues, and I especially related to FAye's "holding out for a hero." Love is patient, and Kristen painted that picture vividly. I always fee... Read more
Review:Generally, I love the "in death" series, because of Eve and Roarke. I liked this book, but I thought it was so sad when Eve was suspended from duty and had to turn her weapon and badge. But she did not give up. She is a strong woman and I love strong women, because they show real women that they can be just as strong, yet vulnerable. Read more
Review:The economics of supply and demand, had Mt. Zeus been successfully repositioned to the proximity of Earth, would have effectively lowered its intrinsic value to little more than that of purified water. Read more
