Review:I wanted to practice mindfulness and this was one of two books I purchased in Kindle version. It came with a set of audio meditations to take the beginner through beginning mindful practices. I use this book as an ongoing tool. Read more
Review:This book is spectacular, but advertised as containing audio version as well. The end of the book has a chapter called "Link to free audio recording of Seneca's Letters." The chapter just says "The Letters of Seneca," with no link. The text is not live either, so it's not like you touch it and it goes to the link in question. Read more
Review:The book was extremely short and not nearly enough information on brain training and brain games. A lot of the information given granite is good is all common knowledge things. It is just kind of a reminder of what you can do to sharpen your senses and brain train your memory and thought process. I didn't really enjoy this book. It was a boring read and didn't even finish the whole thing. I don't recommend it personally but I am sure there maybe some people out there that like it. I did not. I t... Read more
Review:I really enjoyed the authors self deprecating humor and open writing style. The book is especially interesting to me as I live in Madison County, NC near Hot Springs and love hiking in these mountains. Read more
Review:Amazon's top editors chose American Desperado to be a pick of the month. It was daring choice, given that Jon Roberts shares that space - one of the top ten books -- with Steve Jobs. I thank the editors for taking such a risk. American Desperado is not for the squeamish. It is about bad seeds, not apples.
Jon Roberts is a classic, made-in-America, traveling salesman and raconteur. Why are the bad guys so good at telling stories? Is it because they spend so much time in cars, waiting fo... Read more
Review:A former participant in the radical movement(s) of the sixties explains what drives most radicals & revolutionaries drawing from history. In doing so he helps the reader understand how and why Obama's radical mentors have influenced his goals in government which in my opinion has pulled his political party too far to the left, leaving moderates behind. How we now mend the divisions in our country remains to be seen. Read more

Review:A 2013 Dorling Kindersley/Smithsonian release, EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SNAKE AND OTHER SCALY REPTILES is geared to readers ages 7-11. Having said that, older readers would enjoy this once-over, well-illustrated guide to snakes and assorted creepy crawlies as well.
The book's 80 pages are fairly evenly divided between snakes and reptiles with units on prehistoric monster snakes, adders, rattlesnakes, snake charmers, snake skin/fangs/venom/hibernation habits/etc., spitting cobras,... Read more
Review:I'd never read any of Tomassi's blogs, but his book put my feelings into words. Having myself gone from a white knight AFC to a reckless plate spinner, he did a great job of helping me understand why I view women so much differently than I did just 5 years ago. Cheers to the red pill! Read more
