Review:The first three chapters alone are well worth the price. Dive in with an open mind. I usual wince when authors are out to save the world (the last statement in Chapter 1 is "The healing of ourselves, of each other, of our children, and of society begins one bond at a time.") but I put that aside and really was moved by the view the author gives.
I put "Noticing" (pg 31) to the test immediately, and was amazed at the reaction from my 2 year-old (a recent adoptive placement) as well as a ... Read more
Review:I highly recommend this book for teens. It is filled with great information and advice, and is written in a way that teens will learn a lot and enjoy it at the same time!! As Sean Covey would say, it is a WIN WIN situation! Read more
Review:I am still reading the book, just really felt moved to post a review now. I am loving Bruce Lipton's style of writing. I can sense his twinkling eyes and bright smile, as I read about scientific principles that used to put me to sleep. Most Quantum Physics books have been so dry and frankly, since they were so left brained, I usually could not read very far. He has an amazing style in combining mind and heart while delivering his message.
His writing is so personal, I feel like I'm sittin... Read more
Review:The book makes many religious references and is not geared toward male same-sex relationships. I expected the book to be general and mention, "them, they, their" pronouns instead of constantly declaring a male/female relationship. I bought the book because I receive their emails and they don't mention gender at all in them of which is why I bought the book. But I am going to return it due to these two factors. Read more

Review:Everything stated in this book is good advice and combines all the little snippets I heard from various concerned friends and family. So if you are really tired and lost and just don't feel like hearing people talk, I suggest reading this book in one afternoon.
It served as a reinforcement of all the things various people have already told me, and they all make sense just that sometimes when your mother tells you things, even though you know deep down that they are true, you just feel lik... Read more
Review:These are tiny, adorable little books with some really great tips. Some of the information/advice is dated but that's okay. I ordered the Don't For Wives as well. I think it is good to get back to the basics and I think that is what this book reminds us to do. Read more
Review:We all have challenges dealing with boundaries, and often have boundaries that are excellent in some areas, weak in others. I might be great at setting boundaries with my friends, yet struggle to do it with my boss or lover. This book delineates the difference between defense and a boundary, and best of all, gives practical scenarios and examples of what bad boundaries, look like in action, and how an unhappy situation might play out if good boundaries were used instead.
I only had a few ... Read more
Review:Everyone should read this or at least anyone who has trouble with any relationship which is most everyone! I had no understanding of this concept before I read this. It explained boundaries very well. Read more
Review:Lots of religious tangents that have absolutely nothing to do with the topic. However, if you can sift through all the dogmatic rhetoric and identify the portions written from the author's professional experience, you'll find a few really awesome nuggets that will have a positive effect on your relationships.
