Family Relationships
Review:This book, written as a first person narrative, seems like a stretched out version of an article in Redbook! The point is made early on that they find one another. I was wondering at that point what else would come. It had interesting bits of information then... interspersed throughout are random research on twins. It was as though they needed to fill pages. This book was not particularly well written and the style was tedious. Revelations was not outstanding and ending predictable. I felt it ... Read more
Review:Reading The White House Boys was painful. I hate to think that treatment like this happened in America, but I know that sick people gravitate toward the weak and helpless. This was a testament to the memories of this young boy. Read more
Review:Very yo the point and openly blunt but not insensitive at all! I love love loved this book. It helped me objectively step back and see him for what he is/was. THANK YOU! I read this after psychopath free and am implementing the mantras daily. I just can't say thank you enough. Read more
Review:I really enjoyed the honest and inspiring stories in this book. As a mother of young children, she gave examples that will help me make the most of my time with my children. Good mix of real life examples, Scripture, and Biblical principles. Read more
Review:An excellent read for anyone who has just received bad news and has started to feel sorry for themselves. Yes, we need to be concerned but we also need to know that there is hope. We also need to know in our hearts that God would never wish these sicknesses on us. I think Kelly did a a good job writing thses story. Read more
Review:Sophie Kinsella is a reliable author, in a good way. Review:Beautiful book, the art is magical with that old fashioned feel of yesterday. Perfect stories, recipes, games, crafts for Grandma and her grandchildren.
Gave it as a gift to a new Grandma, and she loved it! Read more
Review:The easiest and most interesting book for DIY autobiography writing. I buy them often to give as gifts. I just sent two to my grandparents that both turned 100 this year. And I kept one for myself because I procrastinate and better start now. :) Read more
Review:Not very personal. Like answering questions in a lame interview for a stranger who doesn't really want to know you. After I saw the father version featured on TV, I was expecting something more in depth where I could really express my hopes and lessons I had learned to my child when she got older. I think this is boring, and I have no interest in writing in it. I'm sure she would have little interest in reading it when the time came. Read more
Review:My wonderful caring school principal recommended this book to the staff as we have a population that is rather heavily burdened with poverty and other stresses. The book details the lives of several children, their histories and what Dr. Perry did to treat each child. What is incredible is the effect of poverty, neglect and abuse on the brain development. You need to read this if you work with children or parent them.... Read more
