Review:This tale of necromancer Felix Castor gives listeners a different type of mystery. Fix, as he is known to his friends, is an exorcist. In this first of a currently short series of two novels, Fix is engaged in exorcising a ghost from the Bonnington, a local archive establishment. A seemingly routine matter, Fix begins his queries in order to establish where, exactly, the ghost is and is surprised to find that the ghost is violent, an unusual characteristic for the "undead." The job begins to unr... Read more
Review:I chose this book because the subject seemed interesting and I've always been interested in finding out how blind people overcome such a debilitating disability.
The book was slow reading at first because it was so typical of a crime scene show but once the true meaning of the story wad revealed, the book really came alive. Read more
Review:I love the Charley Davidson series. Each book I think the 2 main characters can't develop any further and then I am surprised. These books are mystery/thriller with just the right amount of humor and a dash of romance. Third Grave Dead Ahead is my favorite so far.
A fast, can't put it down read. Read more
Review:From silly to laugh out loud funny, the action never stops, and neither do the wisecracks. Aunt Lil, Cookie and Amber are great supporting characters, well developed and with their own sense of humor. Steamy Reyes gets his own licks in and great, though perilous, fun is had by all. Read more

Jack Hacker is a homicide detective from Detroit who accepted a job in a small to forget his last case. He is ready for the peace and quiet of keeping a s... Read more
Review:Amazing! Charlie knows who she is and over the course of this book you see her beginning to grow into her power. With all the usual characters present, Charlie works to solve a case where an innocent man is arrested for killing his girlfriend. Add to that some interstellar gods trying to find her daughter and this book doesn't disappoint! Read more
Review:When I see Darynda Jones' name, I smile or chuckle. Must be because I laugh out loud, chuckle, smile and even sometimes hoot as I read her books. Having just finished her 11th novel in the Charley Davidson series, I remain as entertained as when I read her first novel. How does she keep this series going? Well, how about crazy fresh ideas, events, behavior and zany dialogue. Although the premise(s?) remain the same -- help souls pass into heaven or hell, protect the innocent, be a thorough ...
