Review:I had to write my review right away after finishing this one. I don't want to forget a thing and yet I have a feeling that I'll write this and then go back thinking about the book more and more and wanting to add other of my rambling thoughts. This is one that I just don't want to leave anything out, yet of course still be vague and not share any spoilers, yet how can I not share all these thoughts....
I Love, Love, Love Marissa Meyer's writing. She creates these amazing worlds that draw ... Read more
Review:The first two Jane Hawk but were very good, quick paced and exciting. The Crooked Staircase started differently with altogether new characters and once they died they were never mentioned again. I’m trying say it was choppy and disconnected in the first 4 or 5 chapters then it slowly got better. Not nearly as good as the other two books. Read more
Review:There is great growth of already established characters great development of new characters. The story is so well told, I felt as if I was running along side of Luke and his companions as they tried to out quests the Grand Admiral Thrawn. Not reading this series could be considered falling to the dark side of the force. Read more
Review:Fast Connection was another huge hit for me, and I love what Megan Erickson and Santino Hassell have been doing with this series. The book was a well-written and fast-paced book, with developed characters and an engaging story.
I read this in one sitting, that was how much I enjoyed it. I could not put it down, staying up past my bedtime so I could see what happened between Dominic and Luke. Their story was so great, and it kept me hooked without unnecessary drama or twists. It was all ve... Read more
Review:Absolutely loved this story! Kai definitely touched my heart, his story is so real. What he deals with each day is something lots of people deal with day in and day out. This story hit close to home for me, having a daughter with the same social anxieties. Very heartfelt book, couldn't put it down! Read more
Review:By the time Jack London released his post-apocalyptic novel "The Scarlet Plague" in 1912, the author was 36 years old--just four years shy of his premature passing in 1916--and yet had already managed to cram in more incident and adventure into those three dozen years than most folks do in their lifetime. Since his birth in San Francisco in 1876, he had worked on a sealing schooner, done a stint as an oyster pirate, participated in the Klondike Gold Rush (in 1897), played the part of a war corre... Review:Most interesting story; actual history; detailed life of the Arabs at war, the manner of their living in the desert & in the oases & a look at how the British officers looked at the war scene & played a part in it. A look into how war was fought 100 years ago. The inclusion of the maps of the various regions where the battles were being fought is very interesting & most important. The story or review is told in a beautiful, easy to read prose & is really, a delight to read. Read more
Review:On leaving India after his transfer to a newly formed regiment in England, our hero Richard Sharpe finds himself caught up in situations and adventures that eventually lead him to take part in the battle of Trafalgar alongside a detachment of British marines. The very fact that almost the entire story takes part at sea does give this book a different from the previous books in the series. I would also say that the pace of the book is a little slower. That is with the exception of the actual Batt... Read more
Review:A masterpiece.
Writers of sex could all benefit by reading the carriage scene where the reader is aware of what the couple in the carriage are doing and yet the reader never once gains a look inside.
Oh, I am not saying anything against the writing of open door sex scenes. I am just saying that Gustave Flaubert created more sensuality though only writing of what happens outside of the carriage. The reader sees the couple getting into the carriage, the driver and horses and the ext... Read more
