Review:Don't hate on this please. But while I absolutely love the GOT books' storylines, characters, and scenes, which Gorge R.R. Martin so expertly and economically sets up, it's continually difficult for me to wade through the style of prose he's chosen to tell the tale. It just breaches the hokey line, in addition to the highbrow mark, a bit too often for my taste. But of course I read on. This world he's created is just too intriguing to stop. One just has to know what happens next. Read more
Review:Another great book from Conroe. This one brought together characters from all the books before it, including Black Frost which I had been looking to read more about.
Fun, lots of action, and sets us up for the next installment. Read more
Review:Another enjoyable episode of Dexter. Great character development and humour. I particularly appreciate Lindsay's ability to create believable dialogue - a skill sadly lacking in many novels in the thriller genre. Read more
Review:Writing style was excellent, now the author just needs to work on being original in his ideas. Seemed like nothing more than taking ideas and barely changing them to put them in. I could trace almost everything back to games, and books I have already read. Weapons and backstory from Dante's Inferno game. Characters and imagery from Diablo. Story ideas from all kinds of places, even the bible. Has the premise to be a great author if handed original ideas to write about. This was an easily thrown ... Read more
Review:The howlers once again rise and fall. I love this book I love the story and the fact that it still going is thrilling to me I can't wait for the next book it's going to be epic. I have a hard time swallowing all the anti-Darrow rhetoric but I guess he hit the nail on the head the fact that a ten year war is still going on there would be naysayers but I would never doubt Darrow. His passion is unmatched. Read more
Review:Language gets worse with each book. Unnecessary! Think Angry American was trying too hard to crank out this book, seems rushed, not enough content, not his best work. Sorry, loved all the others & was really looking forward to this one. What a disappointment. Read more
Review:There are other novelists who write about Superheroes . Hayes does it better . His characters have some depth . His plots aren't too thin . Books aren't too short . Pace is cannot put it down .
Try his other books , NPCs or Superpowered , for variety or more of the same if you enjoy this one . Worth every penny .
Drew , I would like to see a novel about someone in the DVA as a satire on SJWs' extremes . Read more
Review:Excellent, in-depth, and unique take on the superhero genre. This is not your typical 200 page novel. It is a very long book that keeps you engrossed from the beginning. The only negative is that there are grammatical errors in the book if you are the type to be picky. However, the authors ability to completely draw me in me in to this world made overlooking those errors quite easy. If you are at all interested in the superhero genre then you MUST give this book (and series after you get hooked... Read more
Review:I continue to enjoy this series, even though it seems to be a cross between the Wildcards anthologies and something written by L. E. Modesit Jr: the boatloads of world building and character development slow the pacing down a lot until the end of the book, but it is still an enjoyable read with interesting characters. Looking forward to the next book. Read more
Review:As always a fantastic take into the minds of both players and NPCS. An exquisite romp through a well fleshed fantasy realm with a hint of danger and excitement in the real world. I cannot express the longing I have to both read the next book and to get my hands on something from broken bridge publishing. Read more
