Review:The Julie books (there are two others were) some of my all-time favorite books. I adored them as a kid. Review:This novel read more like a contemporary then a paranormal story which is something I really liked about it. Review:I was disappointed with this novel. After reading Companions of the Night, by Vivian Vande Velde, I thought I'd give this one a chance. Waste of money. It's overly mushy, it lacks suspense, it's annoying at times and the matter-of-fact considerations about death left me cold. Oh and the word "stars" is used just a little too repetitively for my taste. It's no thriller, nothing thrills here. And not a spark of sense of humour. OK, I might as well say it: it sucks. Review:The description of this book sounded so enticing, I just had to get it and see what it was about. Aza and Jason are the main characters and Jason is basically a child prodigy, and Aza at 15 is wise beyond her years. In this story, our girl visits her mom's grave and writes letters to her and leaves them there. Our boy is doing community service at the cemetery and discovers the letters...well the most recent one anyway. And he is moved by it.
