Thrillers
Review:The Black Flagged series is surely one of the best series I have read in recent years (reading about 50 books per year) and on par with Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series, Brad Thor's Scott Harvath, Ben Coes's, Mark Greaney's Grayman series, Tom Wood's Victor series. Fast action, cool plots and amazing writing. Can't wait to for the next book to be published!!! Read more
Review:Vince Flynn weaves an intriguing tale with interesting characters involving three religions and multiple countries. The sometimes strange relationships mirror the complexities of the Middle East. Very entertaining. Read more
Review:I recently ordered new copies of the Mitch Rapp series. I find it infuriating that the original books have all been altered so that Emily Bestler can stick in her pitch for a book (The Survivor) written by someone else. Flynn made lots of sloppy errors, but had good stories and good character development which continued as the series progressed. The errors would have been corrected by a competent editor, and their ongoing presence shows that this editor is either incompetent or that she doesn... Read more
Review:This novel hits the ground running. Logan West, a highly decorated former Marine and a relapsing alcoholic, wakes up after lying unconscious on his basement floor for 40 hours, only to find a stranger watching him with obvious evil intent.
Not to give anything away, the action never stops till the end of the book. It left me breathless!
West is a very real hero, plagued by alcohol and PTSD, and about to be divorced by his wife, whom he loves. But he becomes involved in an
intricate plot... Read more
Review:What a great book, highly recommend to anyone interested in political fictions that based on some real life events.
Just a word of warning though, it's not the complete story. You need to buy the next book (which I just did) to learn the faith of many of the characters.
All-in-all, one of the best political thrillers out there that raises the bar to pretty high and reaches the Tom Clancy-level.
Would be nice to have a Vince Flynn (or Mitch Rapp) bundle released for Kindle. Read more
Review:Please remove from pending list. I order too many books to review each. Additionally, individual's tastes differ and my opinion of a book should have no bearing on anyone elses. If enough people like it, it will make the best seller list. Read more
Review:This book starts out as an interesting plot about a British actress in new York unable to work in the United States for lack of a green card. So she takes a job with a private investigator testing if men are cheating on their wives. I found this part of the book very interesting with very clever dialog. But then the story morphed in to some bazaar story involving the interpretation of Baudelaires erotic poems. There is a way far out weird love story and mental problems thrown in to really mud... Review:Lisa Gardner never disappoints! Her characters are very real, the story well researched and her writing nuanced and engaging. I look forward to the release of each of her books. I'd love to see more FBI Profiler books, especially about Kimberly! Read more
Review:I thought I had ordered an unabridged audiobook like the other item(s) in my order. The box contained a 2nd purchase I made from the same seller, an audio book of another title, and that was correct. And then - the picture you see with this review is not the picture I saw when ordering the audiobook. Yes, I could have made a mistake. I find that when I narrow a search to "audiobooks", paper books can appear in the results and you have to be careful when making a selection. And, the images can be... Read more
