Review:The book was slow starting. The behavior of our heroes was so unexpected, that the reader was disbelieving of their actions. But the author redeems himself and shows this to be a fine series. You will get hooked. Read more
Review:If you like Stuart Woods' style of writing then this is a great read for you. This murder mystery is set in both Atlanta and Cumberland Island a barrier island off the coast of Georgia. It's a fast gripping read. Read more
Review:QStuart's books are very fast paced and interesting. You get very involved with his characters and want more after finishing each book. I went to the library so I could start at the beginning with Stone Barrington and I am about half way through. Read more
Review:Well written Wells action thriller. However, I'm always disappointed when an author allows his partisan political viewpoints to bleed through into the story. I've read all 12 books in the series at least once and this is the first time I remember Berenson doing so. Disappointing. Also the self-serving, traitorous Spec Ops Colonel is a little derivative. It seems every author in this genre has used it now. But, overall, if you're a John Wells fan, it's a good read. Read more
Review:I bought this book primarily because it involved quantum computing. There wasn't as much focus on quantum computing as I had hoped, but I thought the book had an interesting plot and good character development. Read more
Review:A very disappointing book. Not up to Ace Atkin's previous Spenser stories, Little repartee/connection between Hawk and Susan and more
narrative than usual. Storyline drags a bit. Previous books captured Spenser & Co. very well and they often gave me the comfortable
feeling that here was RBP within the storyline. I look forward to Ace's next book nevertheless, and hopefully he can get that Spenser
magic back in his story. Read more
Review:With the exception of some repetitive character introspection, this was a well-paced, innovative continuation of the series. I enjoy Larson's writing style and plot development, his extrapolation of potential scientific advances, and his imagining of alien morphology and alien worlds. A good read. Read more

Author: Brian Haig
ISBN: 978-0-446-19559-1 Pages: 464, $25.99, Publication Date: August 12, 2009, Hardcover, Novel, Published by Grand Central Publishing
The Hunted, by Brian Haig, immediately strikes a chord. I heard this story before. Recollection of the events seems too true to be a novel. Then, you get swept up in the story and the events seem surreal! Is this fact or fiction?
Alex Konanykhin and his wife Elena are the only characters in the book who are... Read more
Review:I like Elmore Leonard, a very good entertaining novelist and this story was quite interesting with many good characters. The violence - but then again, the story is in a violent place filled with poverty. What can one expect? We see it on the news. Could be a good movie. I'll read more of this author's books. Read more
