Review:This is an excellent text for anyone interested in Esoteric teachings from ancient times onward. The author covers just about anything you've heard of and probably a lot that you haven't. The color plates and illustrations are excellent and there is an amazing amount of information packed into this book. One problem arises, however: some of the information is outdated when newer discoveries are taken into account. The author wrote the book something like 80 years ago and though it's been... Read more
Review:The physical copy that I received is horrible. The book was cut improperly- on a slant. The ends of many sentences on many pages have simply been (literally) cut out. Check out the pics and see for yourself. Hey, at $5 ain't gonna take the time to return this unreadable copy; but, please avoid the mistake that I made and purchase elsewhere. Read more
Review:I liked that the main principles of Hermetics were laid out in an organized way. If you are an advanced student of spirituality and understand works like what Neville Giddard wrote about, you can read this and understand how it's all so true. Read more
Review:Characteristic Flew - even with a ghost writer. It is only a short summary of some of the available evidence and thought, but he hits the high points. There certainly are better books out there. May I recommend God's Undertaker, by Lennox, for the inquiring mind who wants a more in depth discussion? Read more
Review:This is a wonderful book and a wonderful author. Very helpful at a time I needed it, and lifted many life-limiting burdons from me. Not a fan of self help books but this woman has something special in her helpful style. I'm gifting it to friends now and I found the value a plus here at Amazon. Read more
Review:First read Proof of Heaven , then review some of Dr Alexander's videos on youtube....then read this book slowly with a highlighter...and note the passages of brilliance. You will not be disappointed.
In order to raise our consciousness above materialism and fear we must overcome being dazzled by the illusion of materialism ...and become fearless. To understand the unseen we must become the unseen. The only way to understand anything is to understand it's "essence".....

Review:i really loved this book. I was especially glad of the Scriptural references to the things the author stated. I had lost my own dog 3 years ago to old age and sickness and was so happy to be reassured that I will be seeing him again. In reading this book, I felt like I really knew the author and could identify with the grief he felt at the loss of his pet. This is a great book and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves dogs (or any other pets for that matter). Read more
Review:There was just a disconnect between what I was expecting and what the book was. The experience parts of the book were very captivating. The rest was not what I picked up the book for so I kept fading out on those parts. Read more
Review:Dr. Francis Collins has written a timely book which shows clearly that there should be no conflict between science and religion. While I am trained in theology, I have very little expertise in science, yet Collins made the "Big-bang" theory and evolutionary theory make sense to me. I struggled to understand DNA/RNA but his writing made me want to understand the double helix. He addresses the issues of "creationism" and the more recent "Intelligent Design" and points out fallacies in both. He has... Read more
Review:There are numerous works out now exploring the theme and person of Mary Magdalen. Unfortunately this is not one of the better ones. Unconvicing, surprisingly dull and sentimental. Too much goddess worship. A far better work is the one by Susan Hoskins. Mary was truly the disciple to the disciples and an example of the radical rediscovery of women in society, but the rest of this is tiresome. Read more
