Review:Read this book with a highlighter nearby. Very insightful. Easy to read, Pastor Robert Morris included personal stories that illustrated his message. If you take this to heart, it will change your life, bringing you into a relationship with God that you had only hoped for. Read more
Review:This is definitely worth reading. I think many companies are beginning to realize the value of their employees and treat them as assets rather than slaves. I remember working for a large pharmaceutical company and we were "told" to increase our frequency of calls to the medical providers from once every 3 weeks to once every 2 weeks and that they were hiring another rep to be in the opposite rotation such that the providers would be called on every week. It TOTALLY BACKFIRED. We reps tried t... Read more
Review:This is an excellent read! I think what Greg Koukl has done here is give the believer a means of linking the essential pieces of Christianity together and at the same time provided unbelievers a launchpad for properly understanding Christianity. I believe Christianity is as misunderstood as it is imbedded in our culture. The Story of Reality is an important piece to the public dialogue between those of us who hold to the Christian worldview and those who are interested in understanding that worl... Read more
Review:Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism mark the culture and minds and hearts of all China and influence every aspect of life there still today. Laotze is still revered and honored there, and this book captures the very essence of his teachings beautifully. Over the past 40 years I've bought and given at least a dozen copies of this translation to people who can appreciate the beauty of the thoughts and philosophies. Beyond this, the photos on every other page are stunning and echo the teachings next ... Read more
Review:Which is quite weird otherwise interesting useful book. Do wish they have more specific brand recommendations (objectively) as there are so many products out there and quality/purity is very uncertain with the supplement industry not being regulated at all. Read more
Review:This is a philosophy book, but its popularity is a fascinating study in psychology. You've gotta figure that because it's short, different, and boasts the word "sh-t" in its title that people are willing to give it a read. Once they do, I can't imagine many of them truly like it, but I think they're afraid that saying they don't like it will make them seem unsophisticated. I'm here to absolve you of any such feelings of inadequacy.
This "book" is a actually a philosophy paper - which is f... Read more
Review:Cory O'Brien strikes gold in this book. What you get once passing through the hilarious and cheeky table of contents is a collection of iconic myths, as told in a modern vernacular akin to posts you would find on websites such as Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook. These gods feel like average Joes, making their tales like episodes on a sitcom. It is a good read for those with a love for myths and a sense of humor to match. Read more
Review:Michael tells a great many tales. Each is full of historical "I didn't know" thats. I read it last year from the library and recently decided this was a book I had to add to my collection. I will share this with my family and friends. Read more
Review:Outstanding book that lays out the scientific case for intelligent design and a God who created the universe. I didn't realize the degree to which scientists had discounted Darwinism because it's unsubstantiated, but of course the liberals in the media and academia hate to admit that. Strobel interviews leading scientists in a variety of disciplines who provide irrefutable evidence that our existence is not an accident or that we are descended from pond scum. Looking forward to reading Strobe... Read more
Review:Great book! Lots of great information regarding the historical account of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I recommend this book to everybody. It is a meaty book so you may need to read each chapter a few times and chew on it. Very very good book. Read more
