Review:Zinnia is one of many brothers and sisters. She longs for something to be only hers. When Zinnia finally finds it, it soon leads her on a adventure she will never forget. In the book I often felt I couldn't put it down! The way Sharon Creech described the way people felt and added much detail made this book jump out at me. I loved every bit of this book! If you haven't read this book yet,you should read it without thinking twice! Read more
Review:Gloria Whelan's "The Homeless Bird" was a well-received read. First, I hadn't known that the National Book Award was given for young people's literature, and secondly, the book impressed me so much that I read the author's biography to find out more about her. At first I thought that she had lived in India, and was surprised to find out she had never been there, that her well woven, and interwoven tale resulted from a lot of investigation and good, dedicated writing.

Review:Although the content of the book by Michael Pollan was great, the fact that the first six pages of Chapter 12 stopped mid-sentence and then went to Chapter 15, only to stop mid-sentence in Chapter 17 and return to Chapter 15 (to continue to the end without interruption) was a bit frustrating. To say the least, Chapter 13 and 14 were never printed. Since this book did not come from Amazon's warehouse, but one of their affiliates, I couldn't return the book to get my money back. I did read the ... Read more
Review:"The Honest Truth" by Dan Gemeinhart is a wonderful book for the middle school, teen, and YA audiences as well as the old adult audience as well. It's a well developed story with engaging characters and dialogue. It has terrific flow and descriptions that paint a vivid picture of scenes and what's going on.
This is a book that is a good one for parents to read before the younger range it's targeted for to allow for discussion of some of the more difficult topics within it. It makes for a ... Read more
Review:This book is an ideal sequel to Scythe because it balances the amount of time with Rowan(Scythe Lucifer) and Citra(Scythe Anastasia) showing how they matured (this book takes time in about a year from the end of Scythe (the first book))and how they mature in this book and commences the journey of a new and important character whose name is Greyson and instead of giving Greyson the jobs of a Scythe, Neal Schusterman makes him the representation of the Thunderhead and sends him to do things the Th... Review:This book is terribly tragic, and teaches a great lesson......IF you are brave enough to read it. This is the scariest book, or movie I have ever encountered in my life. Nothing has ever scared me so bad as this book. I was reading it at night, and I actually only had about 7 pages left, but i couldn't finish it, because it was too scary. I actually slept with a light on, and couldn't sleep for half an hour. I DO NOT recommend this book to anyone under the age of 18. Thanks, and Good luck readin... Read more
Review:Nhamo's story in the book, A GIRL NAMED DISASTER, is not a typical young girl's story. For example, how many girls do you know without a mother, without a father, and with family who either is not aware of her existence or hates her? Not many. In this book you are taken on a journey with Nhamo as she battles against life's hardships and finds where she really belongs. I would not recommend this book to boys Read more
Review:Bought this (among other llama books) for my daughter. The rhymes somehow really stay with her and she's often able to finish the second half of a passage once I start the first. I think the llamas look a little freaky sometimes but maybe that's just me. Read more
Review:We love the llama llama books. This one is great and really shows how kids can feel when it is time to share. It is fun just like the other books, and it gets us talking about sharing and the good attitute we should have when we share. Read more
