I like to borrow audio books from my local library for my commute and this book looked really interesting, though I had absolutely no idea what it was about. This is a YA book about how one young girl survived when aliens invaded earth and shuttled all the humans to one location.
The audio book narrator, Bahni Turpin, was a struggle to listen to at the beginning -... Read more
Review:"The Snowman" both book & video is a classic, wonderful story without words, but beautiful music & annimation. It engages the child (who is too young to read) & allows them to TELL the story as it progresses. I highly recomend it! It has been around for a while & it remains one of my favorite Christmas stories. Read more
Review:I ordered several of these board books thinking I was getting a great deal. SO disappointed when they came as TINY, ABRIDGED versions of the real stories. These should be labeled better! I shouldn't have to sort through 100 reviews to realized they're not what they appear to be. We bought 4, paying almost $20 plus shipping, but only got $9 back after paying return shipping costs. Biggest rip-off ever! If I had wanted books to put in my diaper bag- these would have been great. But as it is, I jus... Read more
Review:The books are small, although the size bothers me my child loves them. she went straight for the books....didn't even want to wait for me to open her other order of books. It's all about my girl...if she loves them then I do too. Read more
Review:this is truly a treasury and a treasure - the big book version here gives a child the Big Picture - since little kids love little books their size, i would also get them one of the boxed sets of the little books for them to carry around and read on their own - also consider buying the audio cd so a child can read/listen to the stories over and over but an adult doesn't haven't to read them over and over to them --- and you must watch the dvd of Miss Potter, which was a very special movie in all... Review:This was a story of a mouselet named Chrysanthemum. She was bullied because her name was too long and it was also a flower. But one day, Chrysanthemum learns her music teacher had the same problem.... Read more
Review:One of my toddler's favorites! I love this little board book more than the longer paper version of Go Dog Go - doesn't take as long to read (essentially when I have to read it over and over and over again), and it withstands a bit more abuse. Read more
Review:I am reminded of myself and my neighborhood playmates when I read this book. I first read it to myself at age six (I'm now 57!). At that time, I'm sure, my perceptions of myself were more like Sam the owl. Gus the firefly was (I thought) more like my big brother and the "rotten" kids in the neighborhood. Their idea of "fun" occasionally wound up getting me or someone else hurt.
Now that I"m older and wiser, I see a bit of myself in both of these characters. While it is certainly temp... Read more
Review:I really like reading this to my child. Only downside is that the book I ordered is small in size. I was selecting the cheapest book in pricing, and did not look at the measurement in the description. Regardless of size, I love this book. Read more
Review:This book is absolutely adorable! I love the story and message for young kids. It has a great rhyme, yet doesn't feel too juvenile or silly. I love that the snail is described as having an "itchy foot." How cute! :) This book would be great as a baby shower or child birthday gift. Read more
