A Journey into the 3.5-Billion-Year History of the Human Body

Review:I love this book. It is extremely informative, revolutionizing, and thought-provoking. You will never look at the human body the same way again. After reading this incredible book, you will start to see how alien the human body really is. Read more

Wolves of the Beyond #2: Shadow Wolf
Wolves of the Beyond #2: Shadow Wolf

Review:Well normally sequels are not as good as the first. Not in this case this book Wolves of the Beyond Shadow Wolf was great. If you read the first you have to read the second. I will not say to much about the book in effort not to spoil it. Foalan has now joined a clan and is the lowest ranking member. He has only one chance to move up in rank. However he must first simply survive being a low member and face down many challenges and fight his way up. That's pretty what the book is about. Anyway wa... Read more

Fifty Favorite Birds Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)
Fifty Favorite Birds Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)

Review:I love birds. And I have many favorites. Here are some of the birds that are not included in the coloring book: ostrich, penguin, peacock, and flamingo. Not one interesting bird is included. Birds like the common crow are, however. Which makes me wonder: Whos favorite birds are these? All the birds featured in the book are small brown or woodland birds that are common in the u.s. This coloring book was a dissapointment. Read more

The Giant Jam Sandwich (Sandpiper Book) (Rise and Shine)

Review:I have the original hardcover of this book and LOVED IT as a kid. I bought this book for a friend who was having a baby. I did not get to use the CD, so I do not have much to say about that feature, but the story is great and stretches kids minds into a world of imagination and fun. Read more

Please read this book. It will do your heart good. Read more

When a Pet Dies
When a Pet Dies

Review:A little too graphic for a child under six. Pictures in the book are not animation and the show the parents, digging the grave for the pet. I know it's reality but I would rather save that part until they are a little more mature. And the photos lookl like they are from the 70's. Read more

Peterson Field Guide to Freshwater Fishes - Second Edition (Peterson Field Guides)
Peterson Field Guide to Freshwater Fishes - Second Edition (Peterson Field Guides)

Review:I guess I never realized how many different types of darters there were. (And minnows, etc. Essentially bait fish. Loads and loads of bait fish in this book.) This book is more for someone who is into fish identification (like bird watching, but with fish) than for fishermen. Still, it did show me some kinds of fish that I will be on the lookout for in my area. Good pictures, good maps, good descriptions. Read more

This book goes through the process of learning how to read which is what students are trying to do in Kindergarten. The pictures are adorable and Rocket takes you through his journey on learning how to read. Read more

Polar Bear What Do You Hear? sound book (Brown Bear and Friends)

Review:This book kept my toddler attention. He is able to follow the repetition of the sentences and the sequence of the animals. It is very interactive and he can push the buttons to show the animal sounds that comes next. Very good for preschoolers to develop literacy skills and love for reading later on. Read more
