Review:This is a completely delightful book and I know the 4-yr old giftee will love it. Humorous, wonderfully illustrated and with twists that surprised this oldster! I've been buying Amazon 5-star-rated picture books for many Christmases and have never been so happy with a selection as today. Also, the video of how to draw a moose is a stitch, don't miss it! Review:My very active grandsons, Trajan 7 and Lex 5 just loved this book, and asked me to read it again and again. As I read it again, I could hear giggles, and they were pointing and smiling at the pictures with glee. Trajan and Lex both want to bring this book to school so everyone will hear this story. Both boys came up with different endings, but that's the beauty of this story. I am a new fan of Jon Klassen and look forward to purchasing more books written and illustrated by him. Read more
Review:A good quality hardcover book. It's square (rather than rectangle) which I didn't expect but I love it. All the stories I loved as a kid in one book. Original illustrations and text. Frog and Toad is my favorite. Read more
Review:sometimes the best childrens stories are the ones that dont always have to teach something; although stories with lessons are a wonderful way to teach, the little stories in "mouse tales" are just there; to be read, and to be heard by the child and enjoyed without some lesson attached. they are whimsical and cute. my 2 1/2 yr old daughter loves lobel books and enjoyed having a big kid lobel book to read. Review:Frog and Toad books are great for early readers. They're written so that a middle of the year first grader should be able to read them easily. The story lines are subtle, so they're great for making inferences, and asking questions to develop higher order thinking skills. Read more

Review:This is one of the few things from childhood that has stood up over time. It is as cute and funny as it was when I was a little girl. I look forward to sharing it with my own daughter when she is old enough to enjoy it. Read more
Review:I found this at the public library first and then had to have it for myself. And it's a true story! Expands our understanding that families come in many 'flavors' and that sharing love is what matters most. Read more
