Fifty Favorite Birds Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)

I love birds. And I have many favorites. Here are some of the birds that are not included in the coloring book: ostrich, penguin, peacock, and flamingo. Not one interesting bird is included. Birds like the common crow are, however. Which makes me wonder: Whos favorite birds are these? All the birds featured in the book are small brown or woodland birds that are common in the u.s. This coloring book was a dissapointment.

I got my first dover coloring book about 30 years ago and have been hooked. I now have a collection of about 20. They are kind of hard to find in retail and when you do the selection is poor.

I find coloring to be very relaxing when you are stressed. I also cannot just watch tv I like to be doing crochet or cross stitching, coloring.

These books are very well done as far as the drawings are concerned. They can be very intricate. Some are made more for children but many would be hard for a child under say 10yrs old to do and feel good about.

They are best done with colored pencils as you can get really good at shading and make them really pretty.

I highly recommend this and many others. I do own this specific book.

We love birds and our grand kids are learning about them from us. We bought this as a gift for them to color and at such a great price also bought one for us, to keep at our home. Whether we color when we see these kids (who live in a different state) or show each other via Skype what we've colored it should be a fun way to connect with them. Book looks great; price fantastic!

Very nice coloring book for seniors!! Great description of birds along with great bold outlined pictures to color. This was my mom's favorite, she is 88 years old with dementia and this is one of the few things that she will still take a small interest in. This was a great selection!!

These are beautiful bird illustrations but I was so disappointed in the amount of black coloring already done on many of the birds. It takes away from the joy of coloring each one. Also I do not like that the birds are on back to back pages. My coloring from one page could bleed over to the next page.

My children love watching birds and kept trying to trace their favorite birds from a field guide. This coloring book made them very happy. I recommend buying multiples copies because my children like to display their favorite bird pictures.
