Rain Reign was amazing, powerful, emotional and I really related to it. I'm giving it 5/5 stars.
To tell you guys the truth, when I was contacted to review** Rain Reign I didn't quite know what to expect, especially because it's described as a "powerful story" and "brilliantly told." I mean, I devoured all of Ms. Martin's Babysitter's Club books I could get my hands on when I was in the fourth and fifth grade, but... Read more
Review:My great granddaughter enjoys this book and CD/DVD. The CD is narrated by Lorelei King, who is a favorite narrator of mine. The DVD is also nice. The illustrations are gorgeous. I would like the page-turn signal to be more obvious so that a young reader can better track where she is in the book. Read more
Review:This is a great book to introduce counting and numeracy with young children. I add rubber ducks to the bath and incorporate many math concepts using the ducks as manipulatives. It starts with the book and ends in the water. Read more
Review:I was so horrified by the ending that even though others have made the same point about the book I had to add another vote to say that this story is completely unsuitable for young children. It's not even that good before it descends into disturbing violence. We have loved "Aliens Love Underpants" since it came out, but this one is going into the recycling bin; I won't even donate it. Review:I think I remember why I bought "Those Darn Squirrels" yesterday. I'm looking for a book to read to my son's class, and am skipping through reviews on kids' books on Amazon, and came across this book. We have some bird feeders up and love squirrels and grumpy grandpa types :), the title was funny, the reviews were good, the summary seemed like it would be up our alley and the graphics looked very humorous and appealing. Tonight I read the book to dear son on kindle at bedtime, and we LOVED this ... Read more
Review:This book is adorable. The dark coloring on the pages contrasted with the bright, happy characters is so unique- never seen another children's book like it. Our son is not here yet but I know this will be a favorite! Read more
Review:My reluctant 8-year old reader loves this series. Aside from the whole "moron" reference throughout the book (the big brother/evil scientist is CONSTANTLY referring to the main character as moron), this is an entertaining book. Kids find the antics very funny.
My daughter loved the Big Fat Zombie Goldfish - the chapters are short so we can read one or 2 chapters each night. There are ample pictures so she doesn't feel like these is drowning in text.
My daughter is a problem read... Read more
Review:Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy is a most delightful book with wonderful illustration, which any little girl will enjoy. I bought this book for my five-year-old neighbor whom I adore. She has so much in commen with Nancy; expressing herself through some strange combinations of outfits, she then expects me to admire. and through the way she speaks. I just know she will use all the "fancy" words Nancy uses. What's more, her parents got the dog she loves from the animal shelter. Skylar will adore th... Read more
