Animals
Review:This book is a perfect role model for children. It is such a touching and compassionate story about a hippo and a tortoise coming together and becoming friends. This shows how kind-hearted two animals can come together being friends that anything in life can also happen even when you don't suspect it or wouldn't believe it until you see it.

Review:This is a great book that children and adults will both enjoy. I'm going to read it to my fourth grade students. Each chapter is about a different dog in Paulsen's life. It is a funny and touching book. Read more
Review:Very disappointed! I preordered two, one for our house & one for his home, as my grandson loves the little blue truck series. This book does not live up to the rest of the books. Would not recommend. Read more
Review:I use this book in the second grade music classes I teach. I created a song out of the repetitive sections of the story, and they sing it and accompany themselves on the Orff instruments. I use this along with the original Pout-Pout Fish book to reinforce the concept of major and minor keys. Read more
Review:I expected a much better story line from a Little Blue Truck book. It is okay, still cute pictures and my son thinks it's alright. I love most of the other Little Blue Truck books and was disappointed in the creativity when I read this one. Read more
Review:Great little board book. I had only read this once to our 3-yr-old granddaughter and when I did it the second time, she already could predict the text, "and the bear snores on." She loves the story and the pictures and we make a great game of reading it. Nice addition to any child's library. Read more
Review:This series reminds me of Magic School Bus series except its for history. Regardless of your like or dislike for Rush Limbaugh this series is great and historically accurate, it doesn't push any politics. My kids (15, 13 and 11) love it including my boys which is a solid win when I can pull them away from gaming! Read more
Review:This book is such a fantastic history of an incredibly unusual childhood. It does a wonderful job of painting the picture and breaks your heart when you read of the experiences this young girl has. While I don’t know that I’d read it again, I am so glad I read it once! Read more
Review:My PreK4 class enjoyed this story. We are learning the letter “S” this week and the sloth is such an interesting animal to learn about. We watched a sloth video and compared/contrasted with this book. We decided that sloths are very cute but in real life would not be great pets. We discussed what was real and what was make-believe. Some children still would like to have Sparky as their pet. Read more
Review:Excellent book. My toddler son loves all of the Pout-Pout fish paperback books. I also really like reading them to him because they are written in a sing-songy way that makes it fun and easy to read over and over and over and over and over ... if you have a toddler you know what I'm talking about.
