Science, Nature & How It Works
Review:We bought this for our 7 year old granddaughter. She is a good reader and very smart but does not really like to sit and read whole stories. This beautifully illustrated book is just right--find a subject and turn to that page and all kinds of interesting facts are there to read and talk about. We learn something every time we read from the book. Read more
Review:Wonderful addition to our Harry Potter Home Library. Such a delight to glance into the beginning of JK Rowlings' original thoughts, ideas, drafts and pen and ink drawings. Really appreciate all of her creativity, research and devotion. Read more
Review:Bought for a 9yr old niece who is very interested in science. I love how it has the potential to teach female children that science and math are not 'boy things' and help them stay interested in these subjects. Sometimes you just need to be reminded that science is cool for girls too. Read more
Review:I have used this book with third graders as they learn to hypothesize. Not wanting to make mistakes, they will change their hypothesis or make it "fuzzy" enough that it is safely generalized. Review:I ordered this for my third grader after her school book fair sold out before she could get a copy. The reading is a bit challenging for her at times, but my understanding is the Redstone building/crafting is one of the more difficult elements to work with. She is able to follow the steps with a bit of help and has enjoyed perusing this book. The binding is of a library quality and the pages are printed on a heavy weight, semi-gloss paper. The overall quality is very good. Read more
Review:This rating is for the kindle version. The hard copy may be great. I plan on ordering it. The kindle version is not at all eye catching. The sample is just enough to know that I don’t want the kindle version. Read more
Review:My 10-year-old granddaughter loved the book. She even sat reading it when the rest of us went into the livingroom to watch a family video on tv. She also share some of the facts with us, and they were things I didn't know. I highly recommend it for that age group. Read more
