Minecraft Redstone Handbook - Updated Edition

I ordered this for my third grader after her school book fair sold out before she could get a copy. The reading is a bit challenging for her at times, but my understanding is the Redstone building/crafting is one of the more difficult elements to work with. She is able to follow the steps with a bit of help and has enjoyed perusing this book. The binding is of a library quality and the pages are printed on a heavy weight, semi-gloss paper. The overall quality is very good.

One of my grandsons is really into minecraft. I really don't understand much of it but when we were visiting him we took him to a book store and this was the book he wanted. Of course, being young he wanted it immediately but I decided to order it on the store instead. Imagine my surprise when it arrived at the house before noon the next day!. He loved it so much. He had to sit and devour it right away. It apparently has hints and helps and shows some of the things about Redstone that will help him. Although I know almost nothing about Minecraft or Redstone, I do know that getting a 7 year old boy to sit down and read a book on a summer afternoon is always a good thing. Even if it is only to prepare for his next electronic game.

I bought this along with both the Construction and Combat books.
These books are all hard backed and well laid out and the best price I could find. These are a Christmas present for a 7 year old and I'm sure he's going to be thrilled.
I looked through the books and they appear to be well laid out and easy to follow.

My granddaughter won the Best Reader Award for 2016 in her second grade class. As a reward I asked her to pick a book on the store. She picked this one, lol.

I have the Minecraft video game and she has a version on her tablet. She has gotten farther along than I have so far and I am sure she will leave me in the dust with this book.

This is her second book in the set of revised books. This one is hardback and she really likes it. Her nose was in the book for hours after the book was delivered and she took her new found knowledge directly to the game. I don't know if it was harder to pull her away from the book or the game. Her gaming time is limited but reading is not.

With the 16 new pages added to the revised Redstone book, she should be creating Redstone creations in no time. I can't wait to see the electrifying additions she comes up with.

I only got a chance to quickly review the book but I am looking forward to adding these creations to my Minecraft game. I will be getting the rest of the series for her so she can master the game. Hopefully she will let me borrow them.

I recommend this book for children and adults alike. On top of helping her reading ability, this book helps to improve her scientific comprehension.

This book is really detailed and explains how to use Redstone in Minecraft. It was definitely worth buying. My Dad was so excited to unwrap this on Christmas morning! We have already built the automatic chicken farm! :)
