Review:Anyone who has inquisitive kids knows how much they like to ask "Why" at a certain age. This book is a good tool to have for those kids or for anyone who wants to encourage healthy curiosity in kids. A good approximate age for kids who would like this book might be anywhere from age 4 on up, in my opinion. Read more
Review:My two year old great nephew loves this and other Richard Scarry books. He takes a break from play every day to sit with grandpa and "read" his book. He loves naming the vehicles, finding the animals etc. Very fun. Read more
Review:I loved this book. Loved, loved, loved it. Someday I will use it in storytime. It is a perfect example for ECRR-talk. The labelling that is used for lifting, carrying, mixing, scooping, etc is awesome. It's a beautiful vocabulary builder--"towed terrifically," "carried carefully," dumped dependably," "mixed marvelously." I also put this on the "play" shelf because although the trucks are all working, it's a lot of fun and I can picture kids playing this story while reading it. At one point I won... Read more
Review:I have been looking forward to receiving these! As soon as I opened the box I was looking through the cards comparing the book meanings to my interpretations and I just love them. The messages were clear and the pictures were stunning. Even though they are labeled as teen, I see all of these cards having value in my life as well. Read more
Review:The pictures themselves are good but a little bit to childish. I would prefer softer more pencil sketch type. There could be a better variety of "poses" for me also. Maybe a full plant and a small in ground view. Read more
Review:I love birds. And I have many favorites. Here are some of the birds that are not included in the coloring book: ostrich, penguin, peacock, and flamingo. Not one interesting bird is included. Birds like the common crow are, however. Which makes me wonder: Whos favorite birds are these? All the birds featured in the book are small brown or woodland birds that are common in the u.s. This coloring book was a dissapointment. Read more
Review:This book was purchased for my ten-year-old granddaughter, who has all of the Dork Diaries books. We have an agreement that I'll purchase every one of the books in this series for her! This book was fun and kept her very busy. The only reason I settled on four stars was because it was an interactive book, not one of the stories. These kinds of books can't really be read over and over again. She loves the entire series, of course! Now, both my seven and eight-year-old granddaughters have begu... Read more
Review:I just purchased these Dover COloring Books for my mother and she loves them. The detail is out of this world and the variety of colors you can use are only limited by your inagination. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Read more
Review:Bought these as part of my daughter's Christmas present to decorate bin. Sadly they don't stick well at all. I was so excited by how realistic these are but the lack of "stick" makes them just disappointing. Read more
Review:My little boy got spoiled with gifts from Grandma on his 2nd birthday - including a ride-on tractor and ride-on excavator for the yard. All the other gifts were completely overshadowed by this book. We had to pry him away from it to play with the other toys. He LOVES this book! Read more
