Review:Quantum Mechanics introduced and explained in layman's terms. Still an abstract concept to understand, but great insight to the research being done and that this left to do. Reads reasonably fast given the nature of the content. Read more

Review:Fooling Houdini was fantastic! Probably one of the best books I've ever read! I would recommend it to anyone! I was literally laughing out loud almost every other page. There's never a dull moment really. The people he meets are hilarious and really interesting. I even managed to learn a thing or two from this book! Love it! Read more
Review:This book colludes with people who want to be told how to live their lives. The "types" are cliches. And if you take the test more than once (as I did) you may find yourself becoming a different "type." The style and tone and slight defensiveness (because most people won't feel they are one "type") takes grievous advantage of the role of the "expert" in a profession that is not yet a science. Like many diet plans it assumes a nine to five world and is pitched to people in the frantic atmosp... Read more
Review:The problem with so many health-based books is, regardless of good science, plenty of research and the author’s good intentions, they are boring. Sorry, all my dry little cupcakes, it’s true. Luckily for you and I, with “Sleep Smarter” this not the case. Shawn’s writing style will NOT put you to sleep. This is a bit ironic, true. You can actually understand and absorb all the excellent take-aways to improve your sleep and therefore your life.
I am not going to try to snag anyone with any of t... Read more
Review:This book really helps me understand a lot of the basic concepts of chemistry, with great explanations and illustrations and fun facts. I bought this book because I am trying to mentally prepare myself for my first college chem 1 course and so far, i love the explanations this book has to offer. It really breaks things down and even shows examples of chem problems. I would reccommend this for any college or high school students taking chemistry or preparing to take it. Overall, great book. Review:Excelent. The method of asking you questions right after you read a paragragh works very well. You might still need more in-depth treatments of the subject from traditional text books depending on your needs, but overall the book gives you a clear introduction/brush-up to basic chemistry. Review:Bought these for our 11-year-old son for Christmas (yes, he wanted periodic table stuff for Christmas). These cards are stunning and very well done. Our son is memorizing these and teaching them to his 9-year-old brother too. Great buy. Read more
Review:Beautiful book!
This is something that will be appreciated in different ways over time. Right now my 10 yo is enjoying the pictures and basic info. As he ages, he may get into the actual science of it all.
He had the elements card set from last year Xmas. This was a gift to compliment that.
I like buying things with longevity. Introduce them to something when they're young, and let them grow with it over time. Don't push, expect, or demand - just let them be curious. Ev... Read more
