Self-Help
Review:I absolutely love it! I'd recommend it to anyone, especially to students who are graduating and about to enter the work force, so that they don't think life is so easy or if they make one mistake their lives are over.
It's good to know about successful people's lives and what they did to get where they are now and through this book, we have the opportunity to be up close and personal with them.
I hope she writes another one with another group of successful people. I also appreciate... Read more
Review:I would make it required reading for everyone if I could. The ideas can be found on many blogs, but this is as straight forward and distilled as you can get. Fairly simple advice but it seems to not be common sense. Read more
Review:I can't remember if this used book seller described this book as "Good," "Very Good," or "Like New," but it's dirty around the edges and looks like it got wet and then dried. Very disappointed and might not buy any more used books. Read more
Review:Certainly a new perspective, and brought up points I never thought about. It was also really nice to reaffirm some of my own self revelations.
I think it was a great read and every twenty something year old should read it, too. Read more
Review:For a book that supposedly addresses "the most meaningful answers to that great question", this is a huge disappointment. I really didn't find any meaningful answers in this book. Neither did I find any really meaningful questions, because the stories felt too much focused on the surface of people's lives. The author claims that a large percentage of the people whose stories he tells here are "devout" in terms of religion, but you'd never guess that from reading the stories. THere's barely a... Review:Very helpful book! Understanding your personality type is very insightful for many things. And with career, invaluable. This book helped me understand the kind of environment and conditions that best suit me. Also, I was able to use much of the info for job seeking and interviewing (such as better knowing my strengths and weaknesses). I've looked at many "figure out your right career track" books, tests, etc. and they've mostly been crap and gained me nothing. This book is the exception. ... Read more
Review:I really liked the book , especially the different archetypes and would recommend it. My only gripe is the emphasis that a lot of these type of books have that women are these free emotional creatures that seem to be beyond responsibility and we just need to accept that and become something we are not to be loved. The author does have a lot of great points and I did enjoy reading it. Read more
Review:Typos abound in this publication. I don't understand how any editor could have let this happen. There are times when I cannot figure out what the writer was even trying to say.
The information is rudimentary and unsophisticated. The writer is clearly not a professional or expert in the field and presents anecdotal stereotypes as facts. Read more
Review:Excellent!!! Interesting, engrossing, informative. Essential information given from a man's perspective. A great find for the woman who is genuinely interested in male sensuality and psyche. Should be a mandate for all to read this one. Seriously. Get it. Read more
Review:This book is easy to read, not boring.
Some points of view are questionable and don't really help in one individual life
it doesn't have any new ideas that you can catch and use when you have a difficult situation.
Ideas from the other books help more. I think that book "Passionate marriage" by David Schnarch, or "Passionista" by Ian Kerner are more helpful and useful.
This is just another book with some life examples from consulting practice Read more
