Review:For those already familiar with interpersonal communication/dynamics, "How to Be an Adult" is a comprehensive reader. For those "in the midst" of relational change or stress (and who isn't?), author David Richo is a peace-full companion. Read this book--I'm buying more for my friends! Read more
Review:Many years ago, I was widowed - of all my friends, and all the literature I was given at that time, this is the thing that got me thru. Now I give one to any of my friends that suffer great loss. - They all say that this little volume helps immeasurably. - It's not a book to read, but poetry, affirmations, advice, wisdom and understanding to turn to - on any page, when it seems you can't go on. - I can't reccommend it hightly enough. Review:A million ways to say the same thing in a very small book. If you need to have something beat into your head over and over before you get the concept, this is the book for you. Basically, just be mindful.- of others, their energy, yourself and your energy. Be aware of toxic communication both ways. Read more
Review:This book is a very helpful guide to help fathers (or even single mothers) teach their daughters how to find a godly man.
I'm using the book for my 15 year old daughter and separately for my 14 year old son. The focus is not only what their future spouses must be, but what they must be to be pleasing to God and have a godly spouse, not unequally yoked. Read more
Review:This book is deceptively simple. The manner of writing allows you to be easily drawn into the central premise. Surprisingly, what unfolds in its pages is a concept that takes years to really grasp and understand. I highly recommend not just reading it but also visiting the website and participating in a workshop, training or coaching. As an organizational consultant, this book is a centerpoint for my practice and my clients. Read it. Learn to live it. You won't be disappointed. Read more

Review:I applaud Alison A Armstrong for having gone to the places she has gone! Had she not, she could not imbued this book, and her others, with the profound wisdom all of so desperately need so we can love and be loved. Nor could she have imbued this book with the non-ordinary energies that change the reader in positive ways. I have been changed by this book and Alison. I am deeply grateful. Reading Alison is a boon to your life!!! Read more
Review:Fun book with interesting ways of recognizing micro expressions. There are tiny muscles in your face that display your thoughts and emotions long before you articulate them. It is amazing what we can learn if we look away from our handheld devices and make eye contact. Non-verbal communication at its best! What is NOT said in a conversation is the most important aspect of understanding the exchange. Read more
