Review:I was looking for something more serious than the typical "how to change your strings" book designed for players.
This one is a must. I do all my own set-ups and adjustments and this book covers all the bases, even beyond what you might feel doing yourself, such a re-setting a neck. Never condescending and very clearly written.
If there is something that you won't feel comfortable doing yourself, at least you will have a good appreciation of the skill level required for a pro to do... Read more
Review:There were some good points and helpful but overall Ms Cap's style of teaching did not mesh for me. I found the book a little confusing. Same with her videos. I know I am in the minority . I have played bass for over 20 years so please dont comment and bash me for this opinion But as an overall resource I will keep the book for the tips I can glean from it. Read more
Review:I have enjoyed using this method for learning guitar. It would be best to have a teacher, however I don't have the schedule to allow learning at a set time. With Alfred's books I have been able to slowly but surely progress on my own. Read more
Review:This was written by someone who understands what I expect when I encounter the claim "Easy Piano". My father recently died, and "Clare de Lune" was a tune of which he often spoke when he was alive as his version of a fine, classical work. There's a version in this book that I was able to play on the first day I had it. Thanks to Allan Small for keeping it real when he wrote this work. I thought I might transition from the "Big Notes" Peanuts Christmas book to this classical piano book after ... Read more
Review:I was aware off the writing in the book, however it would have been nice to know that it was pen. most writing is pencil and can be erased. if I had known I would have made the decision based on a more accturate description of the item. Read more
Review:Thanks for the book GuitarSage. I have used the author's website for the last 4 years of learning to play guitar. A great teacher if you are starting out, with a great sense of humor. Had a quick look through the book, super for beginners, with links at the back to his youtube lessons. He teaches lots of songs on his youtube site and you can request for songs too!! Want to learn guitar and enjoy the experience check this man out!!!

Review:My boyfriend said this really helped him get a jump start into reading basic notes and what not. So for beginners this is perfect and I recommend this to be used as an intro to piano before actually taking lessons. It will definitely improve the quality of the piano lesson. Read more

Review:Needed the next upgrade for our daughter's music lessons, and I didn't feel like trapcing around from store to store to get her books. Where else to look? Why Amazon, of course! It arrived, lickety-split, and she was happily playing for her teacher in no time. Highly recommend this not only as a great lesson plan, but a great way to order! Read more
Review:This book is simple to use, and attractive and appealing for my 7 year old son who is learning the play the piano. As you know 7 year olds have a short attention span, and they like text, graphics, etc. that is inviting and fun. This book does just that. My piano teacher is using the book, and its working for the 30 minute lesson. Read more
