Review:Ok I enjoyed the ranger apprentice series and went looking for a new book by john flanagan and I found the brother band chronicles. This series over laps,in my opinion with the ranger apprentice making it at times confusing. For instance this book gave a reference to Horace and I first thought king but then I remembered this book is set farther back than book 12 of the ranger apprentice. Overall great series but I liked the ranger apprentice better and wish more would be made. Read more
Review:I think the book was wonderful, it certainly provided many good laughs, as usual, and I am definitely looking forward to the next book. (If there is one)
The ending leaves a lot of room for imagination. And I think Hunters is a book anyone can enjoy Read more
Review:A favorite of all youngsters especially among those that have participated in the R.E.A.D. program. While, the subject may be funny the inderling theme at the end is you keep your dog no matter what,!! Read more
Review:We are early in the potty training game, but what I like about this book is:
-- I think she's learning the days of the week (via the "days of the week" underwear page)
-- She is getting motivated to wear panties. She pretty much just has accidents, but I guess that will become our starting point and she'll learn that it's better to use potty than wet herself
-- Most of all, this book is getting my daughter to think of herself as a "big girl" -- before, she would say she wasn't a big gir... Read more
Review:This is the best potty book we have purchased thus far. My daughter really responds to the crown and stickers. She gets really excited to use the potty so she can put a new sticker on her crown. The story is cute too- perfect for little girls. Read more
Review:Very cute book that actually goes through the process of the little boy getting a potty and encourages your child to use it. We found this very helpful as a guide for our son who actually requests it when being read to. Read more
Review:I purchased this book & another book (Too Big for Diapers (Ernie of seasame Street). This book was just too long of a story for my just turned two year old girl. She just wasn't interested in hearing the story, thus the book is like new on the shelf. But the Too Big for Diapers book was a big hit--she likes Ernie so that was the first thing. The story is short & too the point and the pictures of Ernie are big & bright. But this book is a long story & pastel pictures of a li... Read more
Review:In Kindle format the text is very small. There is a typo and I'm not fond of the part where the kid dives into 3 ft of water. That seems like something the author should have flagged. The info about the brain is great but it should be formatted to showcase the illustrations. Read more
Review:Gr. 9 Student Review:
“Skeleton Key” is the third book in the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz. It is a spy novel that follows British teenager Alex going on yet another mission. It is obviously meant for a younger audience since the main character is a 14 year old boy. Surprisingly, for a young adult novel, there were some moments where I didn’t think Alex was going to make it out alive. Overall, I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Unlike other kids’ films and novels where a happy ending is... Read more
Review:Al Capone Shines My Shoes, by Gennifer Choldenko, is the second book in the series. The first book is called Al Capone Does My Shirts and was mostly for character development. My rating for Al Capone Shines My Shoes is 4 stars. The reason for this is that there is not as much action as I would like in a book like this. There are only short bursts of intense action and suspense. I really loved the book because of the characters that are very realistic and you can relate to. In addition, the book ... Read more
