Review:At its heart, this is a novel about female friendships, love, and loss and it really made me reflect on friendships of mine - ones that lasted, ones that ended - and how really critical impacts were made by those people in my life. Marlena is a story about how one woman is haunted by her friend's life being cut short by tragedy and a reflection on her circumstances and their time together. Great if you desire a little reflection on high school friendships or to feel grateful for your circumstanc... Read more
Review:It was a good read -an interesting premise - well developed characters and well written enough to keep me reading. The ending was a tad predictable- but it was a nice story. I'd read more by the author. Read more

Review:London. Emily Castles (26) had been invited to a Halloween performance party.
Midori Hana-bi’ (Emily’s Japanese neighbor, DJ), Zizi (Midori’s sister), Jake, Chris, Zsa-Zsa (Midori’s sister), Rob, & Joszef “Joe” were there.
Emily & Joe (Hungarian) got to know one another.
Later there was a knife stuck in Zsa-Zsa’s chest. But not the kind her/sister Zizi used.
She later died.
2 Scotland Yard detectives showed up.
Will the murder mystery be solved?

Review:IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS NOVEL WAS WRITTEN BY THE SAME AUTHOR WHOSE BOOKS I HAVE BEEN READING SINCE THE 80'S. THE ONLY REASON I FINISHED IT WAS THAT I BOUGHT IT! VERY SLOW AND DRAB. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. Read more
Review:Oh my, another winner from Steena Holmes, I wouldn’t expect anything else. David is a dying old man who has lots of secrets. His granddaughter, who didn’t know he existed, needs to meet him and find out the secrets he harbors regarding her mother. Her mother suffers from mental illness as did her deceased mother. There are horrible stories from her mother’s upbringing.. I didn’t want to read this as fast as I did but I couldn’t help myself. Read more
Review:Sisters are special, but often personalities bring conflicts. This author made them real and it was heat warming as again they become family. The setting is magical and I hope there is a sequel for Tyra, Lydia, and Maureen. Enjoy. Read more
