Review:Dreams of Joy didn't get me as emotionally involved as "Shanghai Girls", but for what it lacks in the characterization department, it makes up in giving the reader a rarely-seen inside look at the People's Republic of China. The advantage Dreams of Joy has over a history book, is that it presents these facts in an interesting, seamless, relevant way by weaving them into the story. If you're mainly seeking a powerful emotional ride, you might want to pass this book up, but if you want to "escape"... Read more
Review:I enjoyed this book. The characters were so real and their love beautiful. Dante proved his love for Lara again and again. Yes, I do recommend this book. Truly an enjoyable love story with a little mystery thrown into the mix. I look forward to reading more novels by this author.

What started out as a ruse to trick his father into giving him his inheritance, ends up becoming real love! They suffer so much, with so many old demons coming to the surface. Together they battle through it all. And end up with their happily ever after!!! I really enjoyed this book! And I... Read more

Review:Wow what a depressing and yet boring book. I ended up quitting about half way through, which I almost never do. I just couldn't finish it. And this is from a person who was adopted at birth in the late 60's. I thought it would really hit home for me, but it was just too long winded and boring for me. I kept wanting to tell the woman to get over it please, it's been decades. Read more

Review:I selected the book based on the strong rating and description in the short synopsis, but was disappointed. Bit too chatty and too thin for my literary taste. Did not hold my interest. Took long time to develop the story. Stopped reading after chapter 9. Coming to Rosemont Read more
Review:I have to say I’m disappointed with this series. I’ve read most of her other books and they usually come with an in depth story and emotions. These are lacking. These come across as an early writer before they develop. It makes me sad since these had such a good chance of being better stories. I would not have wrote this if I had not read her wild riders and knew she could do much better. Read more
