The Diary
The Diary

Review:Soon after their Mother's death, sisters Emily and Sarah find her diary. The contents, going back to 1951, seem to contradict many facts, as they have known them, about their Mother's life. Hesitant at first, they decide to search for the truth. Eileen Goudge, as always, creates a fascinating story with a surprising ending. Read more

Swing Time: A Novel
Swing Time: A Novel

Review:Structurally and technically, this novel belongs with Faulkner, Proust, Woolf, and all the best writers concerned with the concept of "time". But it is (if at times "slow") perfect for a common reader. Zadie Smith can tell a tale with all its implications. An amazing voice in contemporary literature (sic) has proven again she is. PS Her tone is not to be missed if you don't know it yet. A great writer in her prime. Read more

Creep (Creep series Book 1)
Creep (Creep series Book 1)

Review:Page turner for sure. This book was surprisingly exiting because the beginning was a little weak.I thought it would be formulaic but I was wrong. I could not put it down. The twists at the end were unexpected and terrific. Read more

Sisterhood Everlasting
Sisterhood Everlasting

Review:Was glad to continue following the sisters through their lives. Many times you wonder how young people have grown up and turned out in life. Great series for girls of the same age. The movies combined several of these books together. It is always hard to decide: Read the book first or see the movie first???? Read more

Kitchens of the Great Midwest: A Novel
Kitchens of the Great Midwest: A Novel

Review:I loved aspects of this book but it keeps jumping years and characters and I found it unsatisfying. Just when you start to like a character they either disappear or get ten years older. Bitter sweet ending almost saves it. Read more

Royal Brat (Royally Screwed Book 2)
Royal Brat (Royally Screwed Book 2)

Review:Riley is trouble, the kind of trouble King Sven would love to have.

Oh my goodness the hotness factor in this book is off the charts high! Royal Brat is short and super steamy.

Madison did an amazing job and I can't wait to read what she comes up with next!

This review is not incentivized and all opinions expressed are my own. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it. Read more

P.S. I Hate You
P.S. I Hate You

Review:I was drawn into Maritza’s and Isaiah’s story from the first page. I loved the “hate” to love aspect of their relationship, and getting to see their friendship and connection grow over their first week together was seriously sweet. The letters between the two while separated was one of my favorite parts. Watching them reluctantly fall in love was my second favorite thing. I absolutely LOVED Maritza. She initially comes off as sweet and optimistic, which she is, but she also has a backbone and is... Read more
