The Twisted Ones (Five Nights at Freddy's #2)
The Twisted Ones (Five Nights at Freddy's #2)

Review:Nothing like the first book in all the bad ways. No real horror aspect and kinda ruined my fascination with FNaF. There were to many parts where I stopped and had to think to myself, are "are they trying to be funny". The characters showed little to no real development and just felt to rigid and dry. And the ending, in trying to finally create a horror atmosphere to me greatly failed. Read more

A Darker Shade of Magic: A Novel (Shades of Magic)
A Darker Shade of Magic: A Novel (Shades of Magic)

Review:This is an excellently dark story butt not my cup of tea. I can't read fantasy gothic novels if they lack an regular element of delight or humour and this book is consistently distressed. Unlike gaiman novels or many others, it was too unrelenting, too much one side of life,I couldn't read it. Read more

Mother of Shadows (The Chosen Book 1)
Mother of Shadows (The Chosen Book 1)

Review:What can I say- this was a pretty cringey read.

The author does a lot of exposition, like when a character just talks about something a lot so you can get caught up really quickly. I hated that because it felt forced and fast paced.

We read about her vaguely being a peasant for about 2 seconds, then got thrust into a whole new world where everything is dandy and main character (what is her name..?) is perfect at everything she does.

This got very boring very quickly. Read more

The Library at Mount Char
The Library at Mount Char

Review:Good first novel. Feels to me like a mix between Lexicon and A Thousand Kingdoms. I'm not sure if it has earned a spot on my bookshelf but I enjoyed reading it - a fast paced book with twists and turns but only so so character development and no characters that you would want to hang out with. A Reimagining of Cinderella (The Andari Chronicles Book 1)
A Reimagining of Cinderella (The Andari Chronicles Book 1)

Review:I loved this book! It was enough of a twist on the Cinderella story to keep me engaged from the first page to the last, and the balance between witty banter, intrigue, and (clean) romance met my every hope. I'm ready to start on the next book in the series! Thank you to the author for such a perfect, delightful read!

I want to add something. (It's been a few weeks since I finished the book). The two main characters have stuck with me since then, and I realized why. Yes, they feel like rea... Read more

Cinders to Satin: A Novel
Cinders to Satin: A Novel

Review:I really enjoyed the book and would recommend reading it, however the reason I didn't give it 5 stars, was I thought towards the end it drew out a little too long. Other than that it was an enjoyable read and I would encourage reading it. Almost a 5 star rating, I would say a strong 4 plus stars, read it!!!!! Read more

A Lunar Chronicles Collection (The Lunar Chronicles)
A Lunar Chronicles Collection (The Lunar Chronicles)

Review:The writer doesn't' take any risk. Book is too predictable along with the series. I myself did not read these books however my gf who i bought them for did. She was not a fan , although i got her the whole series. She says it was a good read but once you read more of her work you feel as if you're in a cycle where the reader can always predict the authors next move. Read more

Lost (Cinderella's Secret Witch Diaries Book 1)
Lost (Cinderella's Secret Witch Diaries Book 1)

Review:This is not my typical reading matter and it took me a while to get into the story, but it truly was worth the effort. The author's imagination takes the reader on a journey spanning continents with royalty, witches and fairies. Cinderella faces tough choices along the way, accompanied by some familiar characters and imaginative and evil new ones. Definitely not a child's fairy tale, but a compelling tale for the mature teens and olderl Read more

Cinders: The Untold Story of Cinderella
Cinders: The Untold Story of Cinderella

Review:Let me start off by saying that two things I rarely like in a story are a heroine who lies through most of the book and a heroine who dresses like a man and actually fools people. These plot devices usually don't work for me and turn me off to a story. However, this book had both of these elements and pulled them off admirably in my opinion! This was a fun story, faithful enough to the original but with plenty of fun twists and adaptations. The heroine was strong and easy to like. The hero ... Read more
