Review:This was written by someone who understands what I expect when I encounter the claim "Easy Piano". My father recently died, and "Clare de Lune" was a tune of which he often spoke when he was alive as his version of a fine, classical work. There's a version in this book that I was able to play on the first day I had it. Thanks to Allan Small for keeping it real when he wrote this work. I thought I might transition from the "Big Notes" Peanuts Christmas book to this classical piano book after ... Read more
Review:This book of piano music is highly appropriate for piano novices. It has a fantastic collection of the Disney music from all your favorite moveis over the years, including some non-animated ones - like Mary Poppins. Read more
Review:I was aware off the writing in the book, however it would have been nice to know that it was pen. most writing is pencil and can be erased. if I had known I would have made the decision based on a more accturate description of the item. Read more
Review:My boyfriend said this really helped him get a jump start into reading basic notes and what not. So for beginners this is perfect and I recommend this to be used as an intro to piano before actually taking lessons. It will definitely improve the quality of the piano lesson. Read more
Review:I just finished a review for this book........put in under the theory book by mistake.........but do love this Alfred series. I'm excited to be playing songs after only a year and a half of piano lessons using these books. Read more
Review:This book is simple to use, and attractive and appealing for my 7 year old son who is learning the play the piano. As you know 7 year olds have a short attention span, and they like text, graphics, etc. that is inviting and fun. This book does just that. My piano teacher is using the book, and its working for the 30 minute lesson. Read more
Review:Practice makes perfect! Easy to play, easy to practice and easy to memorize. This book has clear instruction and description for the beginning players. It really helps me go from the bottom and the high smoothly because I have been practicing 3 times/ week and now I can read and play piano through half of the book without hesitation. However, it does need a little help from the instructor, if you are a freshly new piano player or you can look up youtube for more help. Overall, this book did not ... Read more
Review:[by Brooke]
The best part about these books are that they come with CDs. I have been teaching piano for more years than I care to count right now, and starting a beginner in these books is SOOO much easier than in 'Bastien' (which is also a great method, don't get me wrong, its just that (as far as I know) they do not have the added tool of the CD. ) Kids have such amazing memories that tapping in on this resource is extremely helpful.
The books say they are for 5-6 year olds but m... Read more
Review:I ordered this lesson book, along with the Primer Level Technique and Artistry, Theory, Writing Book, Performance and Popular Repertoire books for my five and six year olds, to start them out on the piano. I am teaching them myself and decided on this curriculum because of its great reviews. I am enormously pleased that I did.
Within the first few lessons my children were playing songs independently on the piano, and when I play the teacher's accompaniment along with them, and sing along ... Read more
Review:Needed the next upgrade for our daughter's music lessons, and I didn't feel like trapcing around from store to store to get her books. Where else to look? Why Amazon, of course! It arrived, lickety-split, and she was happily playing for her teacher in no time. Highly recommend this not only as a great lesson plan, but a great way to order! Read more
