The Disney Collection (Easy Piano Series)

This book of piano music is highly appropriate for piano novices. It has a fantastic collection of the Disney music from all your favorite moveis over the years, including some non-animated ones - like Mary Poppins.

When I began picking up piano again after many years of not playing, I picked this book up to stretch me a little bit. I was surprised how quickly I was able to pick up the tunes and put them into practice. Sadly, carpal tunnel took away my newfound delight in piano, and I had to set it aside.

However a friend who has spent many years playing piano and organ had a stroke. While she is continuing to recover, she finds it difficult to play lengthy pieces of music, so I am recycling this into her much more worthy hands!

Great for Disney lovers.

When I placed my order, this book had a different cover and was the first edition. The book that arrived was the third edition with the current cover. The music is elementary easy, very basic compared to the first edition. As it was a Christmas gift that I bought early and left in the package I'm unable to return. Very unsatisfied with them changing the editions without updating the information.

great arrangements of the well known Disney songs. Just challenging enough to require practice for my students, but not so difficult that they get bogged down. Good book to have on hand for those students who seem uninspired to practice... :-)

I purchased this for one of my piano students. It has a wonderful selection of songs in it. However, I really don't consider it easy piano. Seems there has been a trend towards making things harder and labeling them as easy. But it's still a great book. My student is currently starting Piano Adventures Lesson book 2, and this was a bit too much for her.

My niece loves playing from this book. As a beginner, there are many pieces they are required to practice but are unfamiliar to the ear. If a child was a Disney fan and knows some of the music, this makes it fun to learn and encourage practice!

This book arrived earlier than expected & has a good variety of new & old Disney classics. My voice students are really enjoying learning these songs, almost as much as I enjoy reliving my childhood memories.

Nicely printed & bound. Good selection of songs (we like the classics). But as others have mentioned, not for true beginners. I think a child would need at least a year or two of lessons before being comfortable with this. Mine's still in her first year of lessons and said it's too advanced for her. We'll hang onto it for a couple of years out.

A great collection of Disney's most memorable and favorite songs. Some I wasn't familar with, too! And it isn't just for kids...unless you are so old you have forgotten how to be a kid. Who doesn't like to sing to "It's a Small World". "Bare Necessities", Ballad of Davy Crocket". or "When You Wish Upon a Star"? The arrangments are easy to play, so you can get right down to calling in the kids - ages 2 to 82 to join you in a great sing along.

I purchased this book like 2 months ago. The music is great, however, it seems too easy for me to play with... no challenge actually. The left hand barely move any, so... you know the idea.. well, I have an advise. If you have just known how to play piano for like 2 or 3 months. Then, this is your book.
