Review:Trying to learn piano on my own was not working out, so I've started up with a teacher I like a lot, and she recommended this book. I like that it's getting me all over the keyboard early on. Even though it's Beginner level, the music is interesting and varied, and it provides nice little duets to play with my teacher. Finally, I feel like I'm making progress. Read more
Review:I was expecting it to be songs by the Rolling Stones and was pleased to see it's actually from Rolling Stones Magazine so It 500 of the greatest hits by all kinds of artists. My grandson loved it. He loves all kinds of music so I was really glad it wasn't all one artistic group. Read more
Review:For Beatles fans, Doggett's book follows the Fab Four from their break up in 1969 to the present day. The book was most interesting covering the years immediaetly after the break-up - alot of deals on the financial mess but necessary to understand why the split became permanent. Where I had problems with the book is the relentlessly negative attitude towards the four individuals during the second half of the book - none of them seemed to do anything worthwhile. Also, Doggett goes back and for... Read more
Review:This was written by someone who understands what I expect when I encounter the claim "Easy Piano". My father recently died, and "Clare de Lune" was a tune of which he often spoke when he was alive as his version of a fine, classical work. There's a version in this book that I was able to play on the first day I had it. Thanks to Allan Small for keeping it real when he wrote this work. I thought I might transition from the "Big Notes" Peanuts Christmas book to this classical piano book after ... Read more
Review:This collection of classics are great because there are pieces for various experience levels. I would consider myself advanced, and can play most of them except for some (Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu, for example). My favorite composers included in this book are Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Satie, and Rachmaninoff. Read more

Review:I was aware off the writing in the book, however it would have been nice to know that it was pen. most writing is pencil and can be erased. if I had known I would have made the decision based on a more accturate description of the item. Read more
Review:All in all, Hamilton - Vocal Selections is a great purchase. It comes with 17 songs from the musical, all very well arranged and easily playable.
One thing of note: although other reviews are saying you will get the "full versions of 17 songs," that is actually false. In "That Would Be Enough," the whole first minute of the song is cut off and there is no sheet music for it. Instead, in Hamilton - Vocal Selections, the song begins at

Review:This instructional piano book is exactly what I expected it would be. My piano teacher uses it in her studio and she recommended it to me to help me develop my skills with classic piano. Like many instructional piano books the music starts out easier and gradually develops in complexity. I am looking forward to being a good enough pianist at some point to play at the back of the book.
