Big Girls Use the Potty!
Big Girls Use the Potty!

Review:We just finished potty training our 22 month old daughter and this book was the one that worked the BEST for us.

PROS
(there are so many, so I'll just start from the beginning and move through the book)
- First page there is a place to write your daughter's name, as in "This book belongs to..." My daughter can recognize her name and I wrote it with a sharpie in large capital letters in the space provided before giving her the book. When she opened it up and saw that her name was the... Read more

The Omnivore's Dilemma: Young Readers Edition
The Omnivore's Dilemma: Young Readers Edition

Review:Although the content of the book by Michael Pollan was great, the fact that the first six pages of Chapter 12 stopped mid-sentence and then went to Chapter 15, only to stop mid-sentence in Chapter 17 and return to Chapter 15 (to continue to the end without interruption) was a bit frustrating. To say the least, Chapter 13 and 14 were never printed. Since this book did not come from Amazon's warehouse, but one of their affiliates, I couldn't return the book to get my money back. I did read the ... Read more

Llama Llama Home with Mama
Llama Llama Home with Mama

Review:Bought this (among other llama books) for my daughter. The rhymes somehow really stay with her and she's often able to finish the second half of a passage once I start the first. I think the llamas look a little freaky sometimes but maybe that's just me. Read more

Llama Llama Time to Share
Llama Llama Time to Share

Review:We love the llama llama books. This one is great and really shows how kids can feel when it is time to share. It is fun just like the other books, and it gets us talking about sharing and the good attitute we should have when we share. Read more

Get ready for big boy pants! (Potty Book) - Potty Superhero
Get ready for big boy pants! (Potty Book) - Potty Superhero

Review:My son loves this book. He carried it around everywhere with him, and we read it several times a day for weeks. When we began potty training, I feel like it was super easy because he was so familiar with the process because of this book. Read more

Once Upon a Potty -- Boy
Once Upon a Potty -- Boy

Review:This book is available in our public library - they have many copies, and they are all worn and dog-eared. Its the best book on the subject, so its worth buying your own copy. The illustrations are accurate enough to cause a little giggling among older children, but not graphic enough to be gross or icky. I wish it came in the cardboard book form. Read more

It Hurts When I Poop! a Story for Children Who Are Scared to Use the Potty
It Hurts When I Poop! a Story for Children Who Are Scared to Use the Potty

Review:Good story that is easy for children to understand why it hurts when they go #2. Unfortunately it hasn't eased his mind when he has to go and still holds it in. This book isn't a cure all but after several readings My 3 year old doesn't take an eternity when he needs to go. Don't look to this book to immediately solve constipation/bowel movement issues. It's more of an easier way of explaining to chidlren foods they should eat and not to hold in their bowels. Read more

Where's the Poop?
Where's the Poop?

Review:When potty training my daughter she picked up the pee pee part first but was having trouble going poop in the potty. She would wait until she had her pull up or just go in her pants. I was so frustrated because she had gone 1 or 2 times without issue and then a week without 1 poop in the potty. Out of desperation I ordered this book and also 'Everyone poops' but this was BY FAR her favorite (she wasn't even interested in the other book). She loves the flaps and at the end we clap and make a ... Read more

A Book For Children Who Refuse to Poop - I Can't - I Won't
A Book For Children Who Refuse to Poop - I Can't - I Won't

Review:I have been having trouble with my son pooping on the potty. I thought tis book would help and I was a little disappointed. I also downloaded the kindle edition and I was a little upset there was more than one page on the screen. I thought that was a little confusing for my son. Read more

Big Girl Panties
Big Girl Panties

Review:We are early in the potty training game, but what I like about this book is:
-- I think she's learning the days of the week (via the "days of the week" underwear page)
-- She is getting motivated to wear panties. She pretty much just has accidents, but I guess that will become our starting point and she'll learn that it's better to use potty than wet herself
-- Most of all, this book is getting my daughter to think of herself as a "big girl" -- before, she would say she wasn't a big gir... Read more
